Update PreferencePlus helaene
https://www.patreon.com/posts/preferencesplus-54470706 Hello, Could someone update the PreferencePlus mod by Helaene? It’s a mod that adds preferences (interests, food, clothing, etc.) for Sims. It’s ESSENTIAL because there are CLEARLY not enough preferences in the base game. I’ve attached the link to the mod. I really hope someone can fix it because the creator hasn’t shown any signs of life, and without this mod, I can’t create Sims the way I want. So, first off, I usually use MCCC for this, but I find all the other settings fiddly and overwhelming sometimes. The only real reason I want the mod is that I like to copy/paste over NPC sims in the game from my sims in my library, or copy paste outfits from sims in my library onto NPCs, or copy paste body types. I prefer this to getting MCCC to put tray sims in my game randomly, as I like to control which sims appear. Is there a simple mod out there that anyone knows of that can do this? I don't mind micromanaging other things that MCCC usually controls, as, for example, I can't stand random sims getting married/partnering to other randoms and moving and shifting all over the place. but I'm happy to go into manage worlds and shift preade/npc sims round and mark them as married etc after doing the CAS cheat. So I am attempting to make an ancient greek playthrough by revamping one of the existing worlds. I hav emost everything taken care of except for the outfits taht would be worn in that time period. I am looking for links and or advice to get at least a few options since I have downloaded a few from the gallery already but the outfits arent loading in so I assume i need to download the CC for them or at least something that I can use as ancient greek attire. I apologize in advance to non-technical readers, for this will be a bit “in the weeds”. If you are considering budgeting significant hours toward improving the game’s infrastructure and stability, I have some suggestions which might seem counterintuitive. Players often misconstrue issues with mods and the game itself. Some don’t know how to determine whether it’s a mod which has broken after a patch has been applied. Others consider the mod in question so essential to their gameplay that the patch has, for all intents and purposes, “broken the game” until the mod creator can fix it. But things don’t have to be this way. What I and some other creators have been considering for some time is creating a large library script mod which would create, in effect, a massive shim or API layer to surround the simulation’s internals. The goal would be to give this thing a well-documented and stable interface using object models and event systems such that when a patch is released which must make changes to those internals, all the mods requiring it wouldn’t break—only it would. The ultimate objective would be to make even the most complex script mods fully forward compatible. Then we were going to attempt to get as many advanced mod creators on board as possible and establish a transparent communal process for maintaining this layer and even deploying it rapidly to players using player companion desktop apps. However, you would be in a much better position to do this than us. I’m not suggesting that you attempt to intervene against script mods performing injections. But if you did create something as I’ve described above, I am confident mod creators would favor it over more brittle methods. And I think you have multiple reasons to do it. On the surface, it would relieve significant pressure on players, mod creators, and yourselves which has resulted from mods breaking because of patches needed. In addition, it would help you test things mods are likely to do without having to test the mods yourselves. Finally, zooming out, it could do a lot to distinguish between trouble with the game versus trouble with mods, which I understand has been a particularly nasty thorn in your side. I have also requested that you share technical resources and documentation in the past. That request still stands in addition to this one because they complement each other. I understand that doing either of these things is not free for you. But they both will allow us to do our part in contributing to improving player experience with The Sims 4, which we definitely want to do.CodeBleu13 days agoRising Rookie96Views3likes0CommentsWhen to use an injector?
Can an experienced modder explain to me, when do I have to use an injection vs when tuning is enough? For example, I created a custom CAS trait. The trait and its buffs work in the game without any issues and no injecting into CAS was necessary for the trait to appear in the game. But then I added custom jokes. I added them under the game's pie menu Funny subcategory expecting that it would show up there but it doesn't. Is this when I have to use an injection to inject into the pie menu? What is the difference in these two scenarios? Unless the second scenario should have worked without injection but I didn't do it right - always a possibility. My game has been moving very slow. It takes FOREVER to load and when it finally does load me into a household it takes forever to get my sims to move/complete tasks and also delaying menu selection. It's making it very difficult to play my game. Hey everyone! I have just updated my game for the latest update/patch and thought that I was stuck on an infinite loading screen, but finally got through it and it brought me to choose worlds. My current household are located in Chestnut Ridge. Clicked on my household, brought to me another loading screen and then back to choose worlds. I thought maybe it was just an issue with Chestnut Ridge so I tried to play my old household in San Sequoia but the same issue is happening! I do play with mods in my game but I have updated all my script mods. I have so many mods where I couldn’t go through them all. Game launches but will not load any households in any words. I can click "resume game" and it just keeps going back to the world view menu. I cannot get any save file to open to check what else is missing or wrong in the world. Hi all! I am thinking of jumping into creating CC for my sims game! So I make LOW-Poly 3d models in my spare time. I sell them on Second Life and my Patreon for anyone to use. But I would love to put them in my own game! I have been reading and researching how to do this and so far I think I have it figured out! Doesn't seem to complicated, but we will see once I dive in. But of course there are always some handy and helpful tips and tricks that might not be in the guides and how-tos. Does anyone have any specific tips and trips, or favorite how to guide videos that really helped you out that you might want to share? I am so disappointed in this update that nobody asked for. This update has ruined and broken my mods. I try and have my sims read and eat. They can't even do that; they just put their meal on the ground. I have a lot of scripted mods, and supposedly, EA has banned scripted mods. This update has ruined the fun of Sims 4 overall! Any current version of Tray Importer for Macs?
I can't find current information on whether any version of Tray Importer can work for Macs. I have read several year old posts relating problems and solutions for installing it, but the latest info I can find says it no longer works for Macs at all on OS versions past Monterey, and I'm on Sonoma. Does any one know any current info on this? I searched and did not find anything on where to post when you stumble upon mod information. So, if you need to move this somewhere, please let me know to where, if you would be so kind. On a whim, I decided to open up Sacrificial's site. I had checked it a couple of times, since the August 29th- I-eat-mods-for-lunch-Patch that dropped. And, yes, it ate the mod I need the most, Road to Fame. Well, when I looked Tuesday and yesterday, the mod ID hadn't changed from the broken mod I had. And in order to be able to get into a lot, I had to remove it. Sadness. But today, to my great surprise and JOY, there is a new ID. It went from Road to Fame v0. 5_d10 to Road to Fame v0. 5_d11 I tried to look up the change notes but got fed up as I scrolled down endlessly without finding anything. Oh, well. I went ahead and installed that puppy and decided to give it a quick spin. Mostly I was checking to see if it would even work. Yes, it did. I got into my lot, no problem. I clicked on my Singer Sim to check his album royalties. YES, it showed he had released 10 albums for 750 Simoleons, each. I will further test the beejeebies out of it tomorrow, as it's late and close to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in my house. But, if you're upset because Road to Fame is broken, you now have the ID for a newer version of it. I send you forth to find it. Happy Days are here again! ~GalacticGal89Views1like0Comments
