TS4 won't launch
hi everyone!! I haven't played in a while and last week I decided to regain the habit of playing more frequently (planned on creating a new save file and everything). so I got a 1T SSD card where I installed the game (through the EA app) and created the EA folder with all my mods and cc. I reorganized my whole mods folder, deleted and upgraded every mod I had and deleted a bunch of unused cc, but when I tried to open the game I kept getting this error upon launch (the app wouldn't even open) 60c399f9:29f00e76:00000000:4b0d852b so I tried removing the said corrupted file but it would just show the same error over and over again with different files. I then did a clean boot, and the game finally loaded. so then I tried to add my mods again, tried doing the 50/50 method, tried creating new folders on the new EA Mods folder and added de files one by one, I even tried just adding the files, no folders or subfolders, and I kept getting the same error every time. now I know for a fact none of my mods are broken or in need of update, like I said, I updated everything and thoroughly checked every single mod I had before, so I really don't know what could possibly be the cause for this. I've read every single forum thread, reddit thread, watched a bunch of videos on YouTube and nothing helped. I really miss playing :,) has anyone found a good solution for this? fyi. Taking photos almost impossible since June 30th update
I'm on a fully updated M1 Macbook pro. I've been playing the game for years on this Mac and never had any serious issues but since the last update the camera mode to take photos ingame has been a real headache. After "locking" the camera in to frame something I can't get rid of the framing/can't change the faming anymore. Before I would click inside the viewfinder and it unlocked so I could adjust the faming but that doesn't work anymore. I don't use any mods that weren't cleared and I don't use any mods that change the behaviour of the photo camera/camera in general. Repairing the game and a fresh install didn't change the behaviour. Since the June 30th patch I haven't been able to create any new saves in Sims 4. I can open to the gameplay menu and open my current saved files but anytime I start to create a new household in CAS the game freezes for a few seconds and then my mac restarts. I am able to open Create a Sim when in any household, and can move between households easily when playing with an established family. I recently downloaded Enchanted by Nature and Life & Death and was super keen to try out the new gameplay with a new save file. Missing saves
I recently deleted everything sims related off my mac because I was having troubles with disk space. So I redownloaded to put everything on a hard drive and repaired it so I’m able to play but now I have none of my previous worlds. I tried seeing if any were in trash and I don’t think those are the files. I was wondering if there was anyway to access them still though my account or if they’re gone completely. I’ve only played my household a couples weeks/month so I won’t be torn up but I want to recover it if anyway possible. I’ve been having issues with disk space on Mac because of gb of sims. So, I got an external hard drive and that worked for a bit but the other it said problems with disk space. So, I deleted everything from my computer. I redownloaded ea and installed sims and packs which took like 14 hours. I have it set to install in the hard drive, and move everything I saw to the hard drive. Then I go to play and it says I’m unable to open the game because of an ea issue, and try later. But an error popped up saying the issue was code 1 missing from library so I have no idea what the issue is. I tried contacting ea and they said a couple mins and no response about 40 mins later. Saves gone
Hey, after exiting my game (saving the household I was playing), I downloaded some new mods, and when returning to the game, all my saves were completely gone, and my two households were also. I was having issues with the game not loading, so I ended up re-downloading it. Seemed to work well at first, and the game plays well now, but none of my packs from before this are available. They say they're still installed, but won't let me uninstall/reinstall them to try to fix it that way. I tried repairing the game, but that didn't do anything either. I purchased a new pack since then, and it works fine, so it seems to be just the earlier ones. Any ideas?Solved70Views0likes3Comments
EA "play" button resetting
I have been having trouble trying to get into the game for the past 2 hours. Yesterday my game was fine. I tried pushing the play button in the EA app and it greys out normally. It usually takes a while for the actual game loading screen to pop up considering the amount of mods I have, however after I while I noticed that the button was once again blue. I pressed it again and after a while it did the same. I have been going through my mods trying to find out what the possible cause could be, deleted many, redownloaded, but still no luck. I have also tried to open the game through my external drive but am met with the same results. I have also tried repairing the game through the EA app many times. Sims 4 keeps crashing and closing unexpectedly
hey everyone! so basically, after the last update, my game keeps crashing. after playing for about 10 minutes (sometimes less, sometimes longer), the game randomly closes and i just get an alert from my computer that says "The Sims 4 Unexpectedly Shut Down". Sometimes it literally takes 5 minutes before randomly closing. I do play with mods, but I have checked various times with Better Exceptions and have updated all of them, so I don't think the problem comes from a corrupted mod. Also, other times when I have had a problem with outdated mods, it didn't randomly close, this is completely new. I have repaired the game, and I'm unsure if maybe it has to do with my computer instead of the game? I have done research about this problem, but nothing seems to work and I don't know what to do anymore. I followed the advice under another post where it said it helped to delete from the last exception files, and so I did, but it keeps crashing. Of course, this is extremely frustrating because the game simply closes and nothing gets saved, so I have to do everything all over again. I was hoping anybody could help me. okay so I downloaded sims4 through steam on a Samsung windows computer and bought the "get together" pack and got the holiday celebrations which is free. I just got a MacBook and transferred everything over to the Mac but the only problem is both of the packs keep saying "available on windows". I don't have steam on the MacBook since I knew steam doesn't support Mac and Im pretty sure I've done everything you can do lol. Whenever I play a specific household in a specific world, the game shuts down randomly after about an hour. While other households in the same world autosave, this one doesn't. Loading screen keeps getting stuck after i create a character making it impossible to save or play. Even a character that did end up saving disappeared later. I can't even quite game properly and am forced to "force quit" ever time i get stuck on that screen I have a 2025 MacBook air, latest model of game with no mods and three expansion packs. Hello my fellow simmers,im having a huge problem and I came here too see if anyone is having the same issue or found a solution,ive stopped playing my game for months and just recently decided to start back playing, I tried to launch sims4 and it was giving me the different color spinning wheel, which eventually caused me to "force close" the app, I've been trying to find solutions for weeks from deleting everything to reinstalling it and nothing is working, I'm at my Witts end and at this point I'm about to Strat pulling my hair out!!! can someone please help me. thank youSolved70Views0likes1Comment
Game keeps spinging! Need Help!
I have tried everything I can think of. updated macbook repair game uninstall and reinstall uninstall and reinstall EA games app fixed some settings to decrease graphics removed all mods and CC restarted computer my game just spins and spins, it was not like this 2 days ago. A girl just wants to play sims. Any one have ideas what I can do? I can get into build mode but I cannot get into game play.SolvedTS4 stuck on "verifying" and doesn't open
My game sometimes loads and allows me to play but mostly gets stuck on "Verifying 'The Sims 4'". I recently moved my game to an external hard drive to save storage on my Mac, and I think this is the root of the problem since it never happened before this. Is my only option to move the game back to my regular applications folder?
