Can’t get onto Play test Hub page
So about a month or so ago i signed up to play test Skate. Did the usual fill out the forum and hope i would get an invite, i didn’t. Fast forward Skate. this last week have come out saying on July 2nd when they do their big update that anyone who has signed up to play test Skate. but didn’t get invited will be getting a invite to test the game, they also added a RSVP forum which is mainly if you haven’t signed up and you’d get a refer a friend code etc. So this is where my issue starts, at first i could simply log into the play test hub with no issue and see available games for play test/upcoming play test games and apply to test these games, i click the RSVP for Skate. and fill it out, get my referral code and then the play test hub website refresh itself, logging me out and now no matter how many times i log back in i am simply met with this message “[Browser] can’t open the page because the server can’t be found.” i’ve tried everything, multiple browsers, VPNs, turning my router off & on, i even drove to my Uni campus and tried on the WiFi their and i’m still getting that exact message. I was so hyped as the new skate game had a new playtest session. I had signed up for all 3 days and I'm so excited I went back to check on my dates just to show there's nothing upcoming. then when trying to contact or connect with EA it shows me that i need to start a case or directly chat with ea and it legit brings me to a full circle while getting nothing done... Remove my goddamn account HOW IS IT SO HARD TO DO THAT cant even do it myself. i get FORCED TO TALK TO SOME ADVISOR. WHY? WHATS WRONG WITH U **bleep**. Why does a company with more money than God limit players to "one Steam account in its lifetime"? I purchased Titanfall 2 through STEAM, went to launch the game through STEAM, oh but that's not okay with EA! I must launch it through THEIR launcher! And a few years ago my partner was logged into their Steam on my computer without me realizing, and whoops, there went my one allotted LIFETIME link. This is a joke and the only other thread that covered this was closed because "EA Forums does not have the 'space.'" Anyway, EA now has more money from me and I'm left unable to play the game I purchased :) I'll be resolving this with Steam as they're more reputable and work to amend customer issues (relatively).matron_grendel18 days agoSeasoned Newcomer29Views0likes0CommentsEA Help Has No Chat Support Option - Bug Report
On help.ea.com, after login into my account, I click on "My Cases" button in the top left corner of the webpage, then select the latest case (#212808348) and click on the blue "RESUME CASE" button. (Please see the following picture). The webpage that loads after clicking "RESUME CASE" button would not offer the option to chat, but only offers to go to EA forums. (Please see picture below). A few hours later, after clicking the blue "RECUME CASE" button, the next webpage would not even load entirely. (Please see the following picture). Troubleshooting: While logged in to help.ea.com, I tried opening a new case for Battlefield 2 and selected each and every options possible, but the "chat" option does not appear for any options. I tried login out of help.ea.com and browsed EA website and it offers the "chat" option for Battlefield 2. From there I selected the chat option, then the website asks me to login, which I do, but after login in, the chat option has vanished. I also tried to resume the chat session for case 212808348 by login in to help.ea.com with another device, but the issue would still occurs; both with Edge on Win10 and Safari on iOS I cannot open or resume a chat session on help.ea.com. (It seems to be an issue with the EA Help servers and not a device or browser related issue). Steps Towards Resolution: I was able to start a chat session by going to https://help.ea.com/en/help-my-cases/ entering the case number and the "unique access key" that EA Customer Experience sent me via an e-mail. Then, the representative confirmed it was a bug: "Technical Glitches: The EA Help site sometimes has bugs or glitches that prevent the chat option from appearing, even when it should be available". Hey all, AC from the anti-cheat development team here. It is normally our preference not to enforce system-wide blocks, so I want to take a moment to explain what's been happening with the Disc-Soft block and why we're in this situation. Last year, many anti-cheat teams, including EA's, enforced blocks on ReWASD software as the community there has been sharing scripts to do cheat-like behavior in games, like disabling recoil in shooter games, or complete skill-based input challenges in games (in FC, called green time), every time without actually completing the physical skill-check yourself. While we understand the need to allow key remapping software for many reasons, including accessibility ones, there is already support for this within EA Javelin Anticheat, such as Steam's Input features configured directly inside the Steam Client, or through Microsoft's Keyboard Manager. Since the block was first implemented, the software developer has adopted new methods of registering virtual devices on users’ machines to bypass anti‑cheat checks, all while ignoring the cheat‑like macros and scripts that continue to circulate. To ensure these cheat scripts are blocked, we have moved to block their virtual hardware and the driver behind it. To continue playing games with EA Javelin Anticheat, please uninstall their software from your machine. I would encourage users to also give feedback to the vendor, in the hopes that their behavior will change. If tools like ReWASD stop using the driver and virtual hardware devices they register, we can resume blocks only on that software, and you can resume using their other software. Never pre-order any game or any app from EA, we have pre-ordered about 4 games in the past, all being more expensive, and the early access being pushed back to the same date as if you didn’t pre-order. Background: I am an IT support engineer and know what it's like with systems like Kaseya and Freshdesk. I am also use to troubleshooting and rarley have to make these type of posts. I am trying to delete this account. However there is NO WAY to do this. I do not want nor need this account anymore. Why not keep it? Games are not a priority anymore and I do not want to nor need EA or most games in my life anymore. I do not want accounts I don't use going forward unless I have invested a lot of money into this. Steam for example. Another reason is I do not want EA continuously changing the T&S on me and have me agree to things I do not agree to especially when this account it no longer needed. Yes, I have tried to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem. I have gone through several times to "Open up a chat" but nothing ever happens. I have disabled Adblockers I have tried different devices (Windows and Linux) I have tried with and without a VPN I have tried different browsers (Firefox and Chromium) I have wait longer then needed to for anything in the browser to work I made sure there are no issues with permissions and no site pop ups being blocked or denied I have tried the desktop edition on my phone as a bonus Also reset browser history, cache and cookies everytime as this is a standard on my set up. Conclution / Conspiracy theory. This is beyond stupid. For a company that claims we need to talk to a rep, these is no literal way to do so. No email, no phone, not tickets system to go back and forth on, no chat bubble like most sites to talk to a rep. Instead I go to a page saying "1 minute" and nothing happens. At this point, I can say without a doubt this is a tatic to keep users on the platform unless proven otherwise. Only alternative option? I am extremely fees up with this and to a point where I will place a 10 minute email on this account and wait for my account to be purged or just ban the account. However either way is not good enough since I want the data deleted, NOT Inaccessible or on EA servers. Why does this matter? Several other times this has been posted on the forms and not once has an actual answer come from EA or anyone from support regarding this issue. Not only are they making it difficult for people to quit, bit they are just lying to us. Why not raise a complaint? Since I literally cannot do this via support. No generic responses please. For anyone in the community, I do not want to hear the generic "open a case here [link]" this does and will not work after all the troubleshooting I have done. If anyone HAS had success please reply. As a long-time EA fan, I have seen the good and the bad. As of recent years, there has been more bad than good. Before I go to the cons, I would like to say thank you for bringing college football back. Also, thank you for the fun you bring to FC and NHL. I hope you can take the effort you put into these games into all of your sports games, especially Madden. Madden has made some needed improvements with the gameplay, but it is still lacking realism and customization. As gamers, we love open-world play. Meaning feeling as if we are the athlete and living in their world, and the only way the game can keep our attention for 365 days is by adding options such as real-life commentary, off-the-field opportunities, and more character customization. Because these sports games don't have storylines, such as the latest UFC game, which is heading in the right direction, minus the profanity, it needs more flair than the repetitive stuff each season. I love how FC and NHL have the Be A Pro Salary Perks, I think this would be a great addition to Madden and College football. It seems like different teams are working on different games, and I think a lot of the main titles are suffering. soo, it all started by i contacted EA help/agent and clicked on "start chat" then, this agent contacted me names Avinash S. or Avinash K. was being rude to me, i explained the issue i'm having with this game called Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare (GW1) soo the issue was i couldn't find any lobbies in the game and he gave unhelpful tips that i tried and didn't work at all, i followed what he said correctly, and here's the screenshots i took of the conversation when he was being a bit rude to me.. he said a problem that was false i said no "it's not that problem.." i said "your not helping.." i kept trying to explain that it wasn't my internet's problem i'm using ethernet.. it was like the agent wasn't reading my texts.. i'm not that person that has these kind of issues with people from EA help nor anyone.. i had a feeling i had to post this on EA forums..31Views0likes0CommentsMy Honest Take on EA
Hello, I've had 5 errors over the course of my time with EA. These errors date back to the days of Origin. I've legitimately never had a proper resolution met or achieved by your 'support' standards. I've never left a review for anything in my life, but actively wanted to take the time to write this post to shame you. I've had nothing but a horrible experience with your company. I'm not even trying to pile onto the bandwagon of the general community hating you for microtransactions - I simply mean to underline that your company is seemingly incapable of fixing even the minor issues with your own app. Let alone issues that arise with individual accounts, games, or alternative software. I genuinely hope that this company stops treating its consumer base like numbers - trading instead, more effort spent in actually helping with support issues. Even your support tickets don't work - I've sat for 3 hours waiting 'to be connected' with a live representative in a chat box with no approx. hold time. Your website is clunky, your app is unintuitive and broken, and your support is a joke. I have to download games through Steam just to run them. Embarrassing. To be honest, with a company like this, I expect to be banned for posting this. I don't believe you're capable of overcoming yourselves - let alone minor tech issues broadly speaking. Firstly, when opening up the playtest site, I can login in the top right corner to EA. I am able to do so, this however seems to have no affect on being able to login/sign up for any playtests. I signed up earlier today for Battlefield labs, and went through that whole process. Was later emailed by EA to adjust and or input some preferences. My EAFC25 has been suspended from online feactures. No matter how I try to dispute, after submitting the form, I'd always get "We got your case. Your case has been submitted, our advisor will contact you soon!" Once I check "My case", nothing appears there. As I've had the same experience before, I know this is telling me that EA didn't get my message. This time I tried starting a chat base on what EA official has answered on this forum. I literally get the same thing, after filling the form, it just shows me "We got your case. Your case has been submitted, our advisor will contact you soon!" again! Even though it has shown me there should be 0 minute waiting time, I still don't get to talk to an agent. I can't describe how disappointed I am, done nothing wrong but lost 2 accounts already, and there's no way I can even try getting them back. Hello, I also have a strange problem, last night I was able to contact the 24/7 support without any problems, and today when I needed to contact the chat again I get this error. How do I fix this problem/bug?
