Fix for Owned Packs Showing Up as Unowned in SIMS 4 Game Mode
I spent days and finally found a solution to this that EA or any other support forum will not tell you. If you use OneDrive you have to go to your One Drive Icon in the menu bar far right bottom corner, go to settings and make sure to go to "Manage Backup" and turn off "Documents" back up, otherwise when you play the game EA looks at your files in one drive and not the files that are on your "C:\Program FIles\EA Games\The Sims 4 folder. You first need to uninstall everything, your EA App and SIMS4 program file. Then go to EA and download the App and when you run all your packs will download again. Now that your OneDrive is turn off for Documents, everything will get redirected to your C drive and your Desktop Documents. I highly recommend do not turn back on OneDrive for backing up your documents or it will redirect everything again in there and when you run EA it will show your packs as unowned again. Hope this helps, I thought it was worth posting because its a deep dive fix that is not easy to figure out.
How do I stop lessons from displaying on login?
I got Business and Hobbies and it keeps showing me lessons (I think that's what these pop ups are) when I log in. What they are about changes but they are all about B+H content: I have all tutorials and lessons disabled. How do I stop these messages when I start the game? No, removing mods doesn't help.
Sims napping instead of sleeping, even at night.
My sims will default to napping when they have low/no energy instead of sleeping. Some. yes, will use their assigned bed but will default to napping, even at night. I saw someone mention this 11 years ago, that they will nap during the day and sleep at night, yet it's still an issue? It's not just one household, but literally every sim. It's annoying having to constantly make sure they are being "realistic" in their energy levels and having to change them from napping to sleeping.
Sims can hug while in different rooms
Don’t be fooled when they said they fix some bugs. They didn’t, when my sims interacted by hugging they both stood in two different rooms and their arms extended to each other. But other then that my game is somewhat playable like if i ignore when my sims interact with hugging someone, I haven’t seen how it looks to kiss or physical affection someone but ea once again didn’t fix stuff that has been in the game before. sims 4 cottage living why do verdant mushrooms turn to wild mushrooms?
I have specifically planted verdant mushrooms on my lot but when it comes to harvesting them the option is "harvest wild mushrooms" instead of "harvest verdant mushrooms". In the screenshot you can see the mushroom is labeled verdant mushrooms but when I click to harvest it says "harvest wild mushrooms" and in these screenshots you can see it is labeled verdant mushrooms as well but it says "harvest verdant mushrooms" When my sim harvested them they both show up as verdant mushrooms in his inventory, but I also have had them show up as wild mushrooms. What gives?
"Content not installed" error in EA App
I am having a similar problem, except I don't have any CC or Mods. I've been trying to build a new save moving my older lots and sims into a brand new save -- and it was working perfectly up through the March 17 update. Then the March 18 one started causing issues on my Macbook laptop. When I try to download content I saved on March 17 it says I own everything when I open it in my library, but when I try to download Sims it says "Content Not Installed". It's worse with lots. They won't load at all. They just get stuck in a loop after that "Content Not Installed" message and I see a little red "System Error" message flash as it tries and fails to load a lot. I am beginning to suspect that it has to do with the Sims 4 Bonus Content which now says that it's available on PCs only? I have done everything to try to fix this, including a full uninstall, reinstall, but I'm still having issues. I asked AI and a solution it came up with was just going into an old save and resaving the lots after the March 18 update. So I tried that and the game crashed. This March 18 update may have fixed things for console users, but it has definitely messed things up for Macbook users.Can't Download Stuff from the Gallery.
Hello, I do own most of the packs and kits before this Marketplace showed up. Yesterday when I was downloading rooms from the gallery, I got this message: I did try it with one and only one or two items showed up. But, I should let you know that this happens to some of the stuff from the gallery and not all. I am wondering if the reason why I can't download some lots or rooms from the gallery is because some people already bought stuff from the Marketplace that are in the gallery, or that they do custom content that can't be downloaded. In the case of the one room that I did try to download. I don't think any of the missing items were ccs. I should also mention here, that I did try to look under bugs, but I don't know if I am not using the right key words, but I can't find the information for this issue. But, I did manage to download the rooms that can be downloaded from the gallery. But I am wondering if this is going to be fixed in the next update.
My teens keep turning into vampires
Since starting up the game today sometimes when my teens travel out of the house they turn into vamps with the thirst need red. Discovered this when he traveled for the prom (Glad its back) but arrived as a vamp that was very thirsty. I switched to his brother and then back to him a few minutes later and he had switched back but its happened a few other times since then with other houses and I had to go to CAS to fix them. I have no clue what to even tag this asOffline
I tried everything to find out why, but my game tells me I am offline since months. I wanna use the gallery too bad, but I can't because It will search for a connection, until I stop it. I once tried to let It search for 3 hours, carrying the MacBook through the house, ending up placing it exactly next to the wifi router, Notihing. I deleted and installed again, searched the internet for ideas and tried a few, an still found no conclusion for the problem. When I tried to contact support about it, I ended up here. Maybe someone can helpsaving lot in B&B doesn't actually save
Hi :) I was continuing to work on a build and while building I saved around 3 times. I saved once more when I turned the game off, and when I came back the build looked like it did before I made all the new progress on it. I tried to recover the saves, and nothing has worked. The funny thing is, I can see the progress in the Manage Worlds tab, but actually opening it reverts back to how it looked before hand. Is there anything I can do to get my build back? (attached is a picture of the lot in manage worlds, and then a picture of it right after in build and buy)
Autonomous Cleaning when clicking auto solve Fun Need
This has been happening for a while, but since autonomy is a focus of the Sims team at the moment, I thought I'd mention it. All of my sims (including slobs) with clean autonomously quite frequently, but specifically when I click auto solve for the fun need they will empty the trash bins.
Burglars no longer appear in any of my saves (2026,march 18)
(Keep in mind that im a console player so I can't use mods to fix this) So i really really like burglars , i have heist havoc on all my households across multiple saves . for some reason burglars suddenly disappeared since like three weeks ago irl , on all my saves old and new ones , no matter what i do they don’t visit my lots ever . Robin bank cant be found in manage households but i can see her in the world . i thought this was an issue with auto generated npcs but father winer , police men ,librarians , etc spawn just fine . I deleted the game and re-uploaded it , didn’t work . I thought this was an issue from the packs so i tried playing with a different account that had no packs , it didn’t work too. I tried enabling and disabling the “allow burglars” also didn’t work Tried removing the lot challenge then adding it back but nope Tried adding robin banks to my household then deleting her so new burglar would generate but nope nothing works . I WANT TO BE ROBBED PLS I BEG U [CM - Edited title for clarity, CAPS]Sims frozen in place and disobedient since 3/17/26 update.
I updated my game today 3/17/2026, and within a second said "something went wrong try again later". I exited out of everything and restarted my computer. Once everything loaded up I got clicked on SIMS4 and it didn't have an update. When I went into the main menu it has updated. I have Moola now. I entered the game. My Sim is standing in the kitchen getting hit on by her room mate. I stop those interactions and try to get my Sim to change her outfit. She will not do it. She is moving her hands head and stuff but she is frozen in place and will not take a step. No other Sims will move or follow commands either. I exited the game and went to google for information. From there, I tried repairing the game, to no avail. I left it alone for a few hours (had to go back to work) and when I tried again the same thing is happening. My Sim can carry out being serenaded by the roommate but after that first predetermined interaction they are all frozen. The infant is stuck on the floor in a tummy time that will never end even if I try to stop the action. I have also reset objects and they are still frozen.
Event Missing???
It says all over the internet and the EA Sims page that "The Lost Legacies Event" is supposed to end on the 16th/today and that it is still running until a certain time today- i dont have any mods that would remove the event or effect UI or similar things at all. Why is the event gone early??? This sucks. I had the event earlier and havent changed anything to my game. I havent had time to play again until today and was about to bust through the entire event before the next game update but now its gone and i cant.Royal Envoy NPC never spawned– Royal Legacy event/missed rewards Xbox One
During the Royal Legacy event on Xbox One, the objective “Play chess with the Royal Envoy” could not be completed because the Royal Envoy NPC never spawned, due to lot NPC overflow, even though the marker appeared on the chessboard. Causing missed event completion and rewards. The lot had many NPCs present. I tried calling the envoy, leaving the lot, switching Sims, and traveling worlds, but nothing worked. Because of this bug, I missed the Royal Envoy reward when the event ended. This is clearly a spawn bug, not player error. I’ve already opened a support case ([Case #240199634]) and hope reporting it here helps the team track and resolve the issue. As the title states: Children cannot play with doctor playsets (neither human or teddy). The only options on it when I click with a child are, "add to favorites," and, "put in inventory." But my teens and adults DO have the option to play with? They even glitch through the floor to play out the animations. XD I've tried everything from 50/50 mods, new save, cleared all caches (including those in the %appdata folder). I thought it must be a mod going out of date, since it sprang up after having changed nothing, but if it is, I think it must be a setting left behind by one of them somewhere that I don't know to look for. I'm on PC, using DX 11, if that helps anything. Anyone experience anything similar, or have any suggestions for something else to try? Thanks so much, in advance!
