Sim Won't Sit to Write, But Will For Everything Else
Hello! I was playing on a new save when I tried to make my sim write, yet she refuses to and glitches out. However, when I try to make her do anything else on the computer, she's just fine. I would have bug reported this instead, yet it only happened on this save. I tried it on my 100 baby challenge and my sim could write just fine. Any help would be appreciated! I use a Macbook, with no mods and no downloadable content besides the free holiday pack. I would add a video of it occurring, yet I can't. But, I can at least tell you that she at least tries to sit in the chair before the animation just cancels and she can't sit. She was able to do it just fine yesterday evening before I went to bed.
Tend Tattoo Table Not Working
Whenever I try to get my sim to tend the tattoo table, he just goes on his phone or starts reading a book. I've tried doing this both with and without mods and it doesn't seem to work no matter what I do. I've also tried making sure the areas with the tattoo tables are set to public (it's a small business) but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Does anybody have any solutions for this?
Save file issues
I play on PC, no mods installed. I have most packs but barely any kits. I get these issues with every new safe file. I repaired the game endless times, deleted caches, completely deleted everything and reinstalled everything. Nothing worked. There is a huge bug with the for rent pack. Installing some rental units from the gallery leads to not being able to edit lots in the same world (that are original, untouched lots). I get an endless loading screen. Only removing the rental unit in the world helps to resolve the problem. There are also a few lots with no rental units in the world, that aren't loading and I get an endless loading screen. I haven't found anything that works for it so far. Right now they are in the Lovestruck world. There is also a huge issue generally with gallery builds, leading to all lots in all worlds to not being editable anymore. It's a lot of builds in the gallery, that can lead to this problem. I haven't found anything in common with them so far (packs etc.). If I place a wrong lot, no lot in the whole save file can be edited anymore. I can delete or change or place exactly one item, then have to switch tools to do exactly one action with them and then I can switch back to the former tool and have a single action again. It makes it impossible to play the game. Already send you a game file over a year ago with this issue. It's been here for at least over a year.
Why can't I ask the Gnome Enthusiast about his fable?
I tried asking the Mystic Fairy for a fable and she gave my sim one, but it required the solving of a fable from the Gnome Enthusiast first before I could solve her fable. So I sent my sim to meet the Gnome Enthusiast. I found him at his booth but everytime I was going to ask him about his fable he would shut down his booth....even though his hours were clearly posted and it was in the middle of those hours. Eventually I lucked out and caught him but then there was no option to ask him for any fables at all?
The Gallery
Okay I have had major issues with the gallery lately, to the point this time my screen was in build mode with that blue tint you get when opening something like the gallery over the whole screen. I waited for half an hour and nothing worked, so I had to close the program, and I hadn’t saved any of my progress on a large build that I was working on for 2 hours. Anyone know how to fix this without having to lose progress?Has the frequency of random events, like lotto, changed?
I'm trying to work out if I'm having an issue with the random events (e.g. lottery, skill day, etc) or if it's expected behaviour. I usually start new saves in Spring and was sure that I used to always get a lottery event in the first Sim week of gameplay. However, I recently installed on a new laptop and have not had the lottery appear at all. I had played my first save for about 2 full cycles (i.e. Spring through Winter) and have since started 3 different saves and also had no lottery event. I also don't think that other random events are working properly but tend to cancel out ones like Neighbourhood Brawl and Talk Like a Pirate, so can't say 100%. However, I'm sure I've had ones like Skill Day and Rebate Day appear in the calendar but then the little pop up hasn't shown on the day. Recurring events, like Winterfest and Love Day, appear in the calendar and work as expected. I play on PC with mods, but have tested by moving the mods folder to the desktop and starting a brand new save and still ran into the issue. I've tried starting a save in a different season and tried a different season length in each save. I have also tried repairing the game and clearing the EA app cache.Sim No Longer on Soccer Team When Reopening Game
My sim joined the soccer team via scholarship application. Everything operates fine while playing - she gets the tasks, goes to practice and games, and is even in a club where being on the team is a requirement. However, every time I save and close the game the next time I go to play the soccer team is gone from her school / careers tab and the club is gone. Even weirder, one time I saw one of her teammates and was able to ask how the club was going from the social menu and they replied that I was doing a great job running it even though I was no longer in it.
A Plethora of Issues...
We will start with the time freezing while my game continues to move. I'm not able to make my sim do anything and I have to force quit the game. Second issue is that I'm not able to save. I get the 'cannot save' error code. Both of these issues have happened in 2 different saves. I have also tried starting a brand new save and it did not correct anything. Please don't tell me to remove my Mods or delete my cache or last exception as I have already done all of those things. I repaired my game. I restarted EA. I've done it all. My game has been unplayable for over a week now. and I did not change anything.Event parameters not appearing
For the past few months ive noticed that if I plan an event (such as a dinner party or ranch animal day for example) when the event happens none of the parameters show up, making it impossible to get past a bronze level. Always on the move keeps being stuck in the corner of even though I’ve done the event multiple times, so I wonder if that’s what’s making the planned events steps not showing up?
Inheriting question
My sim has been awarded all the medals in the military career, is there a way for my sim to pass them on as a set? If they are all in the case does that mean I can make sure the medals stay together as a set? or will my sims child just inherit the case? There are 10 medals and I would like them to be kept as a set but a sim can only name 5 items that are inheritable. Does anyone know?Can a ghost still make a will?
I have a ghost in one of my families and one of his wants is to make out a will. I guess better late than never? Except I can't find any options on either the phone or the computer that would let him do that. I guess I should check my living sims first and see if they can still get to the Make a Will page Not sure if that is under "Household"? If they can then I guess it is just ghosts who miss the boat on wills? I coud alsways resurrect him back to human form and then fulfill the want?Household inventory
I moved my sim family and kept all their belongings in the household inventory. I placed them in Newcrest temporarily, so that I could fix their house in Chestnut Ridge. When I brought them back to Chestnut Ridge, I had a lot of trouble putting everything down in the house. Every time I would place something, it would disappear, and I would have to use the back arrow to get it back into the household inventory, and then I was able to place it without losing it.
