The game gave my spouse roommate a random partner
I let my spouse in game live in my house as a roommate so I don't have to control them. But one day some random character hovered into my house and started kissing my partner... What? I can understand this is a feature in the roommate gameplay because I've seen it earlier but please don't make this happen so often (almost certainly happen) on married sims. Not specifically my partner. Is there any mod or something to prevent this from happening? I can accept completely removing this game feature.
[RL] Can't have a deceased married couple display as such in family tree.
Okay, so you if you have Royalty and Legacy, then you're probably aware that a number of Sims in the game (mostly the pre-made Sims for this pack) have a number of predeceased ancestors that appear in their family tree. And if these ancestors were married, the family tree clearly indicates this. For example, the parents of Tybalt Capp and Juliette Monty were Caliban and Cordelia Capp. They don't exist in the game, but the Capp family tree shows that Tybalt and Juliette's biological parents were married to one another (rendered as a line between them through a pair of wedding rings). The problem I'm having is that I'm unable to simulate this sort of thing with living married couples in the game upon their deaths. I'm trying to kill off Cordelia V and her husband Thiago because I'm playing out a storyline involving their children (which I created since they didn't have any) squabbling over inheritance. Now, killing Cordelia and Thiago isn't the problematic part. That's easy enough to do. The problem is that once they're both dead and gone (netherworld), I can't get them to display as a deceased married couple in the family tree. It only indicates that they were biological parents to their children, but it doesn't indicate that they were married to one another. I've tried everything I can think of, but it seems the mechanics of the game don't allow for this (I'm on a console so I can't use mods). Once one of them dies, the marriage immediately ends. You can kill them both and have them remarry as ghosts, but I'm also trying to send them both to the netherworld and once one of them goes to the netherworld, the marriage between them dissolves once more. It's just frustrating, because I want Cordelia V and Thiago to appear in the family tree as a deceased married couple, not two unmarried people who had children together. Can this be done?
Unable to give out residence keys?
I have been going out of my mind for weeks now because of not being able to find the option to give sims a residence key. Even went so far as to go through a full reset of my game with no luck. So I went through different households, even ones that I do not play. A few sims were able to give out the keys and others were not. So today, I was sitting here banging my head over it again, as it is one of my favorite things. I am used to it being found under friendly then more choices. And that is where it was on the sims that were able to give them out. Then I started looking through additional options in the friendly social menu and found it in in the getaways options. So for anyone else that might be having this same problem, look in both places and hopefully you will find it in one or the other the same as I did. It has been absolutely maddening 🤯 Best wishes!!
is it possible to delete/add relationships after Royalty&Legacy?
Is it not possible to delete/add a family relationship after the R&L update? if so, why isn’t this considered a bug? MCCC was the most efficient way to do so, as going into cas you get “cannot edit pre-existing sims” but deaderpool released a statement saying they were removing the feature due to R&L. I’ve searched the internet for an alternative and found nothing, so does anyone know a solution? I was trying to remove a parent/child relationship so I could add a new one (Birth parents of an adopted child) but cannot figure out how. The best solution I can think of is to save everyone in the family to the gallery individually and THEN add family relationships but then all other relationships, degrees, milestones, etc will be lost and have to be replaced so I don’t want to do that and then it not even work..The job tab appears empty and I have a job
Hello community, fisrt of all, english is not my native language so I'll try my best. The job tab is empty in a lot of my sims, even when they have a job. I've tried: - Removing all mods - Repairing the game - Quitting and getting another job Nothing works, please help.
Gibbi Point Beach
I am unable to set any lot in Gibbi Point as a beach, even if it has waterfront (which isn't a requirement, only a suggestion) Is there a reason for this or is this something overlooked by devs? There's no reason you can't have a beach on a lake. Is it possible this will ever be fixed? (I have no mods or anything that would affect this but I am now looking for mods to fix it of course)Text options don't exist
Hi everyone! So I just found out today that when texting another sims options like send flirty text or send happy text should appear. This does not work for me, and generally when my sims send texts, nothing happens, and I think this might be why..... I tried to clear the cache, tried to fix it from Steam, I also tried to get mischovious skill to send texts, which also did not work (found out I am missing the trolling forums option as well, though), I also tried making a new sim, but it also did not work for them. Did anyone have this problem and could give me some pointers on what is going on?Vanishing Lot contents
Sims 4 - since the March 23rd patch I have suffered disappearing buildings, despite frequent saves, especially from the Newcrest world, but elsewhere as well. For example, my Washburn family live in Newcrest and own two restaurants and a skating rink spread around several worlds. Their entire empire has vanished which is most annoying. All was perfectly fine after all the recent updates until March 23rd. Anyone any ideas? Is this me, or have others found this happening?For Rent: Residential Lots
I have For Rent, and I did play with it before. I did both residential and rental residential—both in Tomorang and in other worlds. I did have more than 13 residential rentals. My save got corrupted. I started a new save, and I’ve not played in a residential rentals nor in Tomorang. I know EA released a statement about acknowledging the issue, but I don’t recall there being any further statements about the issue. Is it safe to play the world and/or in residential rentals?My sims won't react
When I play sims and I try to get them to do stuff, they just stand and look stupid. They take forever to do what I want them to do. it's annoying. They might stand there and just "glitch" in 2-3 minutes before they move again. They also cancel the quests I want them to do. And they do it a lot, please fix it, I hate playing when this issue is going on. Thankyou :)
If I install R&L and not touch the world or its people, will it corrupt my save?
Hello Mac Users of the Sims! I'm one of the lucky folks who's save file got absolutely murdered by trying to edit the R&L world and it's townies. Thankfully, I have back-ups and didn't lose too much data. If I were to install the pack, but not touch anything other than the pack content (CAS, Build/Buy), will it corrupt my file again? Thank you in advance!my game updated and now textures wont load
so i updated my game, and i have NO MODS i only have the expansion packs and stuff packs and stuff like that, but now my packs wont load, i bought my packs off steam and the EA shop, when i loaded in after updateing my steam packs were not downloaded at all so i had to re-download them all, then when i finally thought i could play all my textures and save files were courrupted, showing the missing texture thing, and all my female sims are red and white and no textures load on them, please please please help me. idk what to do, i have no mods and ive never downloaded a mod in my life and i just dont know how to fix this, i dont even know if i have a backup folder. please please please help. and also many times on steam it says the game file was locked when i was updating, idk if thats on your side or steams but i just need help. PLEASE.
