Crashes
Sorry but I can't play the holiday event. I tried. The game crashes everytime I try to save my progress. I also didn't get to play the last event because of the crashes and there were items in that event as well as this one that i really wanted but couldn't save my progress to even get the rewards. Sometimes I feel like at this point you should just gift us these items instead of making us play an event in order to get the items knowing how messed up this game is especially with the crashes. So many of us had been missing out on so many items over the months because of not being able to play the events due to the crashes or the bugs alone. Also I feel like you should have the game auto save like every 3 to 5 minutes so if the game crashes we'll still be able to keep our progress. We also wont have to be afraid to save the game because of the crashes. Just saying.

It occurs randomly during gameplay on my console after a few hours. What happens when the bug occurs? In the middle of gameplay the game stops suddenly and I get a blue loading screen with spinning plumbob and a message that says "We are updating your graphics settings so that you can continue to enjoy playing The Sims 4". What do you expect to see? If there is something I need to change on my console settings myself, I expect it to tell me what to do to avoid this happening. I haven't changed any settings myself and can't find any mention of this message anywhere affecting others. I've done a console reset twice and reinstalled all my content twice. I've power cycled numerous times. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes Please describe the patch or change you made. It started a few months ago around the time I started to get a lot of crashing on save and exit and sometimes on travel or CAS then eventually on loading too. I already mentioned this on the feed about crashing on save and exit but it was suggested the 2 things weren't linked. It started after installing cottage living if memory serves me correctly. I'm extremely unhappy with the stability of the Sims 4 especially after purchasing a next gen Xbox specifically for this game after my Xbox one couldn't cope with all the content I had, it works fine for it's new owner with several games installed. I've had months of crashing on my brand new console and the feed on that subject has had no serious engagement from the Sims team, I've even reached out directly. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it myself but a lot of the research I'm doing mentions that graphics issues can cause crashing. So I want a definitive answer from devs or someone on the subject. I've spent so much money but every day I have issues, it takes 3 attempts to load my game now and I often have to restart my console in the middle of loading as it freezes. I play around 4/5 hours every single day. The 2 things did start around the same time so instead of putting up with the message I'm trying to get it resolved. If there is something that I need to change on my console to avoid this then I need to know, I've had enough of it now. If it's not linked to crashing then ok, that needs investigation for all of us separately as we have already reported. But everything I'm reading says graphics issues are a big factor in crashing. I had no problems with my brand new console before Cottage Living. I'd uninstall it if I hadn't used it in so many households. Edit by PoptartJuniper: Added tags, adjusted title.
[PS4] Game shakes, stutters and is unplayable
This is the first time in years I've had to completely stop playing the Sims 4. Every time I load into a save on my ps4, I direct the sims to complete an action and the screen starts stuttering like there's an earthquake happening. The console locks, menu and options are unavailable. The only thing that'll work is closing the game. This started happening very recently, end of October 2025. I haven't bought a pack since Life and Death. It may be related to an update. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. If this has been mentioned in another thread, do let me know. Thank you. [BG] Child Sim Action Queue Filling up with interactions
This is to do with the base game. My child Sim’s Action Queue keeps filling up with the dancing interaction and then the actions delete themselves. I’ve got a video showing this. Listen please don’t ban me I beg. I am low key heartbroken 😢. My man signed out my ps5 account on ps5. Normally when you do this everything is still saved. But when I logged back in everything from sims was gone. Fully. Nuttin but start new game. The saves I spent years building… all my sims. Gone. Like thousands and thousands of hours no cap. All of the limited edition items I spent time doing the challenges all gone 😢 do you know if there’s any way I can get it back ? The saves anything? At the very least the limited edition stuff? I’m an OG sims 4 player since day 1 but now I feel like a freshie 😢I really don’t know what to do or how to fix it. I beg 😢 all my families , houses , apartments , buildings 😢😭😭 💔💔💔 like frfr 😭 please help yes I buy all the packs, I even have two copies of most cause I brought them on Mac too so I can play when my man’s on ps. I know I haven’t invested as much as shareholders but I’ve defo invested more than your average customer 😭 I’ll do anything I swear .. I’ll even do all those challenges again to get the limited edition stuff if you let me 😭… but if that’s just to rack up game play hours i swear I give you more game play hours in build mode and cas.
Gallery family’s missing
Sorry if this has already been solved I can’t find my original post and I really want to fix it because it’s been making avoid playing the sims😭. But ever since the update all of the families I’ve saved into my gallery are all gone with just the base game families remaining. I’m not sure what’s wrong since all the homes I’ve made are still there just my families from the gallery are missing and all my saved games have all remained the same it’s just my gallery??Issues with the sims 4 on Xbox/anyone have any advice?
Hey guys, I’ve been playing the sims 4 on my Xbox one s since 2017ish I don’t remember exactly when cause it was such a long time ago. I have a lot of packs installed but not all, as I’ve had it for so long and it’s always been my favourite game. However recently I’ve been thinking about upgrading in the near future to an Xbox series X. I know that the Xbox isn’t the ideal platform for the sims 4 but for my current situation, it’s the only option as swapping to PS5 or PC is financially out of reach. If any of you have been playing this game for a long time like me and have ended up upgrading to the series X, would you recommend it? have you come across any issues (major or minor)? My Xbox one doesn’t run the game very well anymore and I think that’s a mix of the console being old and the sims not being built for Xbox. Everytime i try to start up the game, my Xbox tells me that’s it’s taken to long for my game to start and gives me an error code. This has been happening to me for a long time now and nothing works to solve it other than waiting a long time and repetitively trying to open the sims or launching another game before trying to launch the sims. Is this still an issue on the Xbox series x? i have come across some forums reporting issues of the game not launching and constantly crashing and tbh I'm not willing to risk all of my saves, packs, creations and money if the series x isn’t significantly better than the one s and carries the same issues. I also don’t want to end up with some unsolvable issues as I know that contacting EA about technical issues and in game issues rarely get anywhere (especially for console players) Im not very tech savvy so upgrading to a newer Xbox is intimidating to me but id be willing to do it if it made my gaming experience (especially with the sims) run smoother. Im currently researching if the upgrade is worth it and if there are any current major issues with the Xbox series x running the sims 4, but can’t come to an answer. That’s why I’m asking anyone who has upgraded to try and offer me some advice. sorry I know this is quite long. Hello everyone!! I am currently getting into the sims again, and I am starting with a legacy’s gameplay. However, I have run into the issue of when clicking “WooHoo with…” or “Try For Baby With…” my sims either: A- cancels into a whole different “conversation” / “flirt” animation or B- sims do the asking / excitement animation then go idle or C- the action won’t even queue properly and nothing happens I have nothing in the way of their bed, or shower for their actions to be canceling in the way that it is.. not too sure if anyone can help me out, or if anyone has any tips or tricks for me but let me know if there’s something I can do, or if this is a known / active bug for anyone else :,).
Game won’t load
Hello, recently since the November update and release of new game pack add one, I haven’t been able to get passed the blue loading screen in Sims 4 for Xbox Console. I haven’t already tried all the troubleshooting steps of restarting the console, deleting the saved data, disconnecting from network which just kicks me out completely and uninstalling/reinstalling game. I haven’t been able to play Sims for over a month now.Disappearing pictures and blank funeral photos
Pictures that I take with cameras/phones, always disappear whenever I save my game before getting off, and log in the next day the pictures are all blacked out. Also for funeral pictures, I select a sim and then the frame goes blank. Before it was working fine but now everything is disappearing.
