Crash since update 09/18/24
Hello, Since the last update, my game is unusable. It crashes after a few minutes of play. I'm angry because everything was working fine until this update. I've checked my Windows and my NVIDIA card and everything is up to date. What happened? How is it possible to release such an update? My game starts, my game loads but after a few minutes everything goes black and it crashes. I'm waiting for a quick fix, without which I'm definitively giving up on sims 4 and 5, as this is unacceptable.
Sept 2024 update broke loading screen to main menu and exiting cas
I carried out the update yesterday. Updated every mod I had that I was aware needed updating, at first I could get into the game but the game would crash going out of CAS whether it was live mode, from the household management or a new save etc so I went OK must be a mod. Dragged out the entire mod folder from my game to be sure, tested it. Still faulting. Removed the entire sims 4 folder so all saves, trays etc will be new, still happening while 100% vanilla. Uninstalled and reinstalled sims, repaired for probably the 07th time. Now when I try to go in (still vanilla, no saves or tray files etc, no mods at all) I get stuck at the loading screen like it can't progress to the main menu option. I've managed to get into the game, but after going into CAS still crashes on exit, ticked to use the direct x9 which seems to have rectified the cas issue except every second attempt im still stuck at the loading screen for the main menu to get into any saves. I've already done every basic troubleshooting method I can think of, just wanting to know if anyone else is stuck like this?
Sims 4 not launching
Greetings! I hope everyone is doing great. I just wanted to notify that I haven't been able to play since the Lovestruck EP was released. I have tried everything from restarting my computer, clearing cache, researching on forums and videos, even uninstalling the game completely and reinstalling it with no positive results. I was able to communicate with members of the EA team and I'll be waiting for a solution for everyone who's been going through the same issue.
Error Code: EC:204 (can't play offline, says "game license has expired")
Whenever EA puts out a game update, I don't update immediately and switch to playing offline for a week or more (depending on how bad it is) while I wait for mods to be updated and for the worst of the new bugs and glitches to be resolved. I've done this since the EA App was released without issue. So the EA App updated shortly before the 7/23 game update and when I went to play offline last night, I discovered I suddenly couldn't. I click on "go offline" and it shows Sims 4 as an installed game, but now when I click play, instead of launching the game offline as usual, I'm getting an error message telling me that the game license has expired and that I need to launch the game to renew the license and gives the Error Code: EC:204. I've never had this issue before. So now I cannot play the game at all as I've seen how lit it is out on the bug report forum and there's no way I'm updating my game right now with all the issues the patch has created. And I can't go "online" with the game without it automatically pushing the update. Is anyone else having this issue with playing offline right now? And is anyone aware of a work around? (Note: I have already logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, cleared the cache, restarted my PC, and ensured by XBox and EA accounts aren't linked (they never were).)Sims 4 crashing after Sept. 2024 update when I go into build/buy
My sims game has been crashing since the new update, first the menu screen was broken but I fixed it by removing More Columns and thepancake1 color sliders UI v2o more columns compatible mod. Now whenever I got into build/buy it crashes. I went to save a build and when I clicked on save nothing happened and then nothing worked when I clicked on it and when I went to manage worlds it went black and I can’t exit the game. I’m guessing another mod is the problem does anyone have any idea which one could be causing it?Sims 4 will not save after August 2024 update
Not sure if this is just my game but after the August 2024 update I can no longer place fences?! (but I can place build/buy objects.) I cannot save my game. I click save and I just get the turning circle forever. I don’t play with cc or mods. I play on the EA app on PC. Can anyone help?
Why will my game not save progress any longer?
This is bs. After all the money we have pumped into the Sims over the years... I AM NOT HAPPY! I have over 12, 000 hours of play time and now, it won't save my game. Seriously!? I guess I get this for being a loyal customer for over 24 years. 🤑🙄🤬
Can't download the new Lovestruck Pack
I have cleared my mods file, checked to make sure all game updates are installed (they are) and I know for a fact that I have ample room on my PC to download the extension. I get to the 'preparing' portion of the download tab and then it gives me an error code. I have restarted my PC, retried the whole process of downloading the pack from the start, and have closed and restarted the app (which in itself is buggy as is) multiple times. Starting to regret wasting 40+ dollars on this pack if the downloading of it is this glitchy. I am now extremely worried about the pack itself and if it's even playable if I can ever get it on my PC.
All my saved games are gone
Hi, So i paid for the seasons extension, and at first it didn't want to download at all. I have tons of free space on the disc, and the extension requires about 1.3 Gb After several attempts to download (it just didn't start), I decided to just restart my laptop and try again. After I restarted it, the seasons extension finally got downloaded, but when I enter the game, I see only a "New game" option, with no "Resume". I tried "Repair" command on EA app, but it didn't help at all. What do I do to get my progress back? I've been playing for 300 hours already, as the banner says. But all my saved progress is gone.
August 2024 update broke my game again !!!
August 2024 update Julys update messed my game up so bad took me forever to get it lined out … now I was forced to update today after spending 89 hours on a lot for my Patreon … and again my game is not working .. having to go through files yet again … I took out package files etc only to get back uon the game to see my entire lot was erased back to the original start….. now I’ve spent well over $400/$500 on this game over the years and I want a refund on every expansion pack game pack stuff pack I’ve purchased …. Any known package files conflicting?
My Sims 4 Keeps Crashing
I went from a laptop to a desktop. Ever since the update and change my game keeps crashing, without warning. I have uninstalled it several times, and I am currently playing with ZERO mods. I assumed I had a bad mod or cc.... even after removing ALL cc and mods, it keeps crashing. I attached a DxDiag... please help.
Sims 4 Can't Download Latest Updates
I've been trying to download this dang update since lovestruck came out. I love the sims but holy, ea needs to get it together because it's just broken update after broken update and then broken packs. Anyway, I keep getting an error saying something went wrong. When there is no error, the progress bar (doesn't even get to the actual download, it gets stuck on preparing) the progress bar jumps from 6% to 80% to 30% back to 2% etc before eventually giving me an error or just getting stuck for up to 24 hours before crashing. I've moved my mods out, tried clearing the cache, tried repairing it (That had an error too before it got to finish). i've tried each of these (Except for the mods cause y'know) multiple times and it just doesn't work. Anyone struggling with the same? Seems like lots of people are having problems with the update, so hopefully this will be resolved shortly.
EA wont launch Sims game after 07/23 update
It's been 2 very long, exhausting days of uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, the sims game and trying to repair the game and app. I've tried every recommended solution out there and have completely deleted the mods and CC off my computer (RIP.) Nothing will load or open, the screen shows I've played today when I haven't. Friends on steam and EA both see I'm actively in Sims4 playing but I get sent back to the EA home screen in the app instead of the game. Restarting computer, deleting everything cache related, etc is not working. Send help, i'm going crazy here. I didn't even preorder Lovestruck because this update completely broke my game.
