Holiday stuck on repeat
In my most recent save, something happened and now it’s repeating the last holiday (my creation - Gnome Patrick Fools) anytime there is a new holiday on the calendar. This started when I downloaded the new expansion pack. I tested it by creating a new holiday to start on an empty day and sure enough, Gnome Patrick Fools again. I have tried ending it early, playing it all the way through, waiting for the year to come around again and deleting it entirely etc etc. Nothing has worked. The specified holiday activities are also stuck on in the action menus - regardless of whether there is a holiday scheduled or not. Holidays work as expected in a new test save but I don’t want to forsake my save!! I do not use any mods.

I know the update is messing alot of things up but im not sure if this is a part of it or not but IM NOT HAPPY. I cant do anything at all , the game will open but it wont open my saved games up. i keep getting this error error 111:5a137a9c;bbfd31be says to uninstall EA and i did but it didn't fix it. Im sick and tired of EA not having a REAL PERSON to talk to when we have issues, we { I know I have } spend too much dang $ for them NOT to have better customer service... does anyone know what i can do besides taking computer to the GEEK Squad?
Holidays are missing entirely
I honestly don't know when it started, but I just noticed that my game is completely missing all holidays. It seems like all the festivals still show up, as well as school events, etc., but none of the *holidays*: Winterfest, Harvestfest, Spooky Day, Love Day, New Year's Eve, etc. I noticed it on my PC where I have mods and CC, so I removed it all and checked - still missing. So I moved over to my laptop that is 100% vanilla, with no mods or CC, and started a new save - still missing. I went digging through the forums and found a couple of people commenting about something similar: Missing holidays | EA Forums - 12072971 Re: holidays disappeared | EA Forums - 9221973 The second one in particular, it seems that this issue was disregarded and closed because there were focused on the inability to take vacation for holidays. I own all DLCs and packs, and haven't experienced this before (I'm guessing based on looking at videos I recorded previously) about ~1 month ago.
WHY!!!! Why Why Why Why Why!!!!
I have been awake since 7:00am mst. I made breakfast (two pieces of toast and cottage cheese), created a house, decorated it, made it into a home a sim would like to live in. I started playing the game, started doing some of the quests available, and BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM! The game froze... I could not restart, I could not pass go, I could not collect $200. All of my hard work Gone Down the drain Deader than the grim reaper or my love life. Deader than my youth, hopes and dreams, etc.Game is broken
Game is broken. Can't elope on the sims 4 console. It seems like they fixed some issues but my Sims can't elope, and my dead Sims when they come up to a sim wanting to chat with them their picture shows that they are a living sim instead of a ghost in their wants. Plus the gnomes are still dancing in my game on the console.Mermaid Occult needs gone
I moved my sims into a new home, suddenly my mermaid sim's needs look like a regular sim (no hydration need and regular needs present.) I had her jump in the water and her tail is still there and she transformed, but still no hydration need present. I do not have any mods downloaded. I recently downloaded the nature pack a couple days ago. I saved and exited, saved and went to manage worlds, all the different options, but it didn't fix itself. I've had a couple other random glitches as well since the new pack/update. The fairy's wings randomly disappear even though they are out until I have her fly. Another sim got abducted by aliens and she was invisible until I had her eat something.Can’t select rental properties
Hi there first time reporting a bug so sorry if i’m missing anything, I play on xbox series X, which means I’ve never downloaded mods on my game before, i have quite a lot of packs. The issue i’m facing is that i created a rental property for some sims, moved them out, and now i’m trying to move other sims on the lot but i can’t select it at all, i’ve tried from manage households, i’ve tried straight from live mode and i’ve tried just going to build mode straight from manage households and nothing is letting me go into the lot, every time i click on the lot and go to select the key inside a house icon, it backs me back out onto the world view. sorry for this wordy paragraph, just trying to be as precise as possible to help anyone who can help understand :)Can only get promotion tasks if use Sim Story
Hello! I have a 100% fresh install of the base game—no mods, no packs, no custom content, literally just downloaded the game two days ago—and if I make a sim using the sim story, getting a career in the sims panel, I get promotion tasks. If I attempt anything custom, only getting a career once moved into a place in-game, then I do not get promotional tasks. Also, the jobs only pay $1 if I try a custom career, but if it's from the sim story then I get the full amount. I also never seem to improve in performance with the custom career. I have tried: quitting and restarting the game repairing the game working from a clean game (same issue in new folder) quitting one career and starting another grabbing the same career as a sim story character this issue has happened over like 5 different sims, across two game folders, and four different careers. I have MacOS Monterey, M1 Pro chip
Can Someone Please Explain to Me . . .
Why it is that after I save my game and exit for the night, with my Sim having 2 days left of an Ailment, he has 3 days left the very next day when I power up again.? I'm really cheesed off about this. This isn't the first time things have gone slightly wonky on me. This is just the latest incident. I know I'm not doing this to myself. Let's be clear not all those who get older grow addlepated. Just thought I'd get that one out of the way. 😉 I would just like to know if there's a way to stop this madness. The same butler exists in ALL households
My households used to have a different butler than other households, but something changed, and for some time now, it doesn't matter which household I go to, the same butler guy is there. The npcs that used to be butlers are still around but they're just regular npcs now. It is all I can do not to kill the sim that is playing the current butler because he is a lazy schmoozer. He has the active trait, yet if my sims don't make him get on the treadmill by mentoring him, he will get so fat he probably won't be able to get through doorways if I didn't make them exercise him. If I fire him and then call for butler again it will just be the same guy. WHY can't we have choices. I don't want a lazy, fat butler. Nor do I want to have an elderly broken down and always holding their hip butler either. I used to hate that the butler's changed out every time my sims went somewhere it seemed, but this is much worse always having the same butler across all households. I'm not sure if this was an intended change or something that needs to be fixed. Hopefully the latter.How do you keep your "guests" little toddlers from destroying your property?
So, a sim (I renamed him John Redcorn because that who he looked like to me) called and said, hey I need some time - can I stay over. Little did I know that he was bringing his entire family (his wife, son and toddler). My sim only had a 2 bedroom house, with a finished basement, yoga studio, and she recently added on an attached greenhouse. Well their little spawn of satan keeps destroying my plant, and my sim can't discipline the little brat because she isn't their parent, and their parents (well they just eat my food, don't clean up, and want to chat all of the time.). How do you discipline another sim's toddler?
Renting Apartments making building disappear
A was renting the Fountainview Penthouse from San Myshuno and separated it into two units. I rented both, and all was fine. Until I justly evicted one of my tenants. I can only think that might've been the issue, because a couple of hours later, even after I continued to solve issues for the other rented unit, the problems started not being solved, even when I hired an expert contractor and the rented apartment disappeared from my rentals, so i couldn't visit. When I visited by my own, the whole building had disappeared!! I panicked and went into building mode to confirm it. I tried to build on it, but when I got out of the building mode, the screen looked like it'd crash at any moment. Help😰😰😰😰😰Pregnancy Issues
I started a legacy challenge unaware there was currently a problem with pregnancy. I quickly noticed that the option to try for a baby is gone, no matter how high the romance level is. I did have a mod for risky woohoo on, so my sim did end up getting pregnant, however the pregnancy test option is gone, and the games not registering that she's pregnant. The little notification/emotion at the bottom left is not there, she's had a baby bump for 4 days. I have removed any pregnancy mods I had on, tried forcing labor, and tried downloading a mod to fix it, bit nothing worked, the options are still not there for future kids and she's still pregnant.
