My game keeps getting stuck on the loading screen
Whenever I try to play a my sim family by clicking on a lot, the game gets stuck on the loading screen and I can't access the gameplay. I've already tried the following steps to fix the issue: Deleted the localthumbcache.package file. Moved my Mods to my desktop Repaired The Sims 4. Even after these steps, the issue persists. I can reach the main menu and the map/lobby screen just fine, but as soon as I click on a lot or play game to enter the game, it gets stuck in the loading screen indefinitely. What can I do to resolve this issue ?
Game still crashing
I use to have mods and stuff and deleted them to see if that would help, it did not. Are you using custom content or mods in your game ? Not anymore At what point does your game crash ? Between start and within an hour of playing. Is the crashing random or is there a pattern ? I say random because I can't see a pattern. But maybe if I scroll the screen too fast or I put the game on x3 speed. Is it an occasional crash or constant ? VERY constant.Lagging and Not loading
Everything was fine earlier this morning but now I am having issues. When I could get into the game play it is really lagging and forces me to restart the game. I try and restart and I get the never-ending blue load screen. I've tried everything and I know this isn't an issue on my end.Game pack purchased through EA App not showing in game
I've downloaded the Sims 4 through Steam and have 1 pack already (Poolside - SP44) through a steam code and it works fine. Today, I purchased and redeemed the Lovestruck (EP16) pack through a code through the EA App. I restarted my computer and logged out of the EA app and cleared the EA App cache but when I launch my game, under my pack options it only shows the Pooside pack and shows the Lovestruck is not one I can select to enable. I have the base game only downloaded once via Steam and I believe the new pack I got is downloaded already (I don't see any option under manage in the EA app and it's not in my steam library). I added screenshots of everything I've got so far, hope it helps and someone can figure out why I'm unable to use the pack/items!
Signing In
When signing in on the EA for Sims 4, my PC will sign into show that home screen with a red dot on Shop and a green highlighted home button. The screen appears to have a film over it, and it will not allow me to open my game play. I then have to go to Task Manager to shut down the Sims4 program. There are times that my doing this and then reopening it will allow me to go back in and play. However, after the newest download it has become worse. Could someone tell me why this may be occurring? I have removed all mods and cleaned my CC and done a repair. Thanks so much and onward to bigger and better.
Freeezing
Hi ! I recently bought the new expansion (im total freak) but since the last update something is wrrrong. Im playing and suddenly EVERYTHING IS FREZZE. but the day it still going on, but not the hours, my sims dont move.. nothing works. "I can" save but I DOESNT SAVE, still freezzeee. I even use CHATGPT and according to chatti some factor is andrewposeplayer but i deleted it and NO SOLUTION. HEEEEELP. im sick at home and this is my entertainment.
I can't find the mod folder
Hi guys! I just changed my computer and installed Sims 4, the EA App changed the location of the game from the last computer, but the game still launch correctly.... But i can't find the mod folder in the file... Can someone help me out ? I miss my game 😖 Here's a picture of the folder!!
Unrecognized Video Card
Out of nowhere, I started to get unrecognized video card pops, making my game unplayable. Not sure what happened, but I tried to delete my files and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Not sure what else to do, I have been playing for years and have never run into this issue.I accidentally changed my package files to open with internet explorer…
please help. I accidentally changed my package files properties for my mods and my localthumbcahe to open with internet explorer…. I now cannot figure out how to restore it back to the default app it was using…. My sims games won’t load now, in the EA app the play button for my sims is grey (and with no option to reset or reload the game)… and when I can actually get the game to load it won’t load me into any households without throwing an error and telling me to restart the game.
An error on our end caused the launch to fail try again a little later
I've had the same problem for the last 2 months of the same error no idea to how to fix it the game starts for a few seconds see the starting loading screen before the start game menu and immediately crashes I've looked up any and everything I've removed my mods nothing reinstalled them nothing uninstalled the ea app reinstalled it nothing installed it on the ea app nothing installed it on steam nothing deleted the ea cache nothing used task manager to stop EA backgrounds then manually start the game nothing make everything administrator nothing make sure all the distributibles are not only working and repaired nothing Repaired and checked the integrity of the files I'm lost beyond lost I want to play the game that I have spent money on but whatever they did Is not allowing me to When Is later EASaves wont show in game
Yesterday I loaded Sims and my saves were just gone? I played the day before that and had no issues. It said "unrecognized video card" at first and my laptop needed an update so I thought that was the reason but I updated it and it was still not working. It also said I have no cc and mods. I have all my mods, saves and tray in my EA folder in Documents so I don't understand why they aren't showing in game. I tried deleting localthumbcache, repairing, reinstalling but nothing works.Autonomy keeps turning off in every new save
Every time I start a new game, the option “Disable autonomy for selected Sim” is automatically turned on. Because of that, my Sims don’t do anything on their own, they just stand still. I’ve already tried the following: – Deleted the entire Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder to let the game recreate everything – Repaired the game through the EA App – Cleared cache and tested without any mods The issue still happens even on completely fresh saves. I’d like to know if there’s a configuration file that keeps forcing this setting, or if I need to reinstall the whole game to fix it.Pixelated screen on game launch, screen goes completely white and cannot play
Been dealing with this issue for a while. When I load the game the home screen is extremely pixelated, then entire screen goes white and I cannot play the game. I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled, tried to repair the game, updated my drivers, installed each expansion pack one by one and cannot figure out which pack in corrupted. Don't run any mods on my games or anything.
Lagging Making Game Unplayable
can anyone please help me I have severe lagging in the Sims4 in Live mode and Build mode it only started a couple of weeks ago. It happens as soon as I open the game and it's so bad I can barely move the screen, press anything or even click the three dots in the upper right corner. This problem seemed to have just appeared out of nowhere and was all fine before. I have a brand-new laptop with the right specs to run the game, and the lagging appears with and without mods. I have tried everything, and I don't know what else to do. I have also attached my dxdiag I don't really know what I'm looking at so if anyone could tell me if there is anything wrong, I would appreciate it. Honestly I don't know how it happened, but now my TS4 says my notebook doesn't have enough storage to run the game when actually it has more than 90gb free. I had the game ever since 2023/2024 but something happened and I had to uninstall it, but I installed it again on the same day (today). It was kinda okay when I had it, I uninstalled because of a bug that I didn't had patience to solve. Okay. I tried running the game but it was lagging and it said that I didn't have enough storage to run with my DLC. Mind you, I tried delete some DLC but the window still shows up when I open my TS4, only when it doesn't have not even one DLC that it's okay. I also tried changing the graphics config. but nothing happened. One time a window popped saying I should play with origin because my pc didn't support the x64 version (my notebook is x64) . I don't know what origin is, I don't know what to do, I don't know how to use a origin (?), and I really don't want to play without my DLCs. I hope you guys can help me. Ever since I purchased and downloaded Get Together on 10/6, my game has been crashing. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I'll be happily playing, and then the game will freeze for 2-ish seconds before the program shuts down. The game has crashed while I'm" Preparing a meal in live mode Interacting with Harvestfest gnomes in live mode Declaring weather preference in live mode In CAS trying to set up a save In build mode Probably others that I'm not remembering at the moment. I have tried all of the following to no avail: Reinstalling base game + all my packs. This was the first thing I did after the game crashed the second or third time, because I feared that Get Together had corrupted in the process. Running a full system scan via Malwarebytes to make sure there isn't a virus on my laptop Closing all other programs on my laptop, in case for some reason my laptop has decided that having the Sims + Firefox + Discord is too much and it's going to start making the Sims crash instead of just running at a snail's pace Running a Better Exceptions report and removing any mods it suggested might have issues Moving my mods folder to a different location on my laptop Deleting the cache folders Starting new saves (which is difficult when the game sometimes crashes while in CAS) Turning off memory boost Disabling Get Together via the -disablepacks:EP02 command in Advanced Launch Options I have included my two most recent most recent lastException.txt and lastCrash.txt files. For the first pair, the exception occurred about 20 minutes before the game crashed. For the second pair, the exception occurred about 40 minutes before the game crashed.
Sims 4 Keeps Crashing
Please help; my Sims 4 game keeps crashing. I'm not sure why; I did the 50/50 method, and I have tried with no mods. I cannot get past the loading screen unless I recover the game from a different point. Even then, if I progress in the game, it will crash randomly after opening a save.
