Downloads not working
I have bought 3 expansion packs a few months ago, downloaded them via EA app, sims 4 shows new content and tells me to restart but when I restart they are still showing as downloading. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no joy: can’t find anyway to actually contact EA/Sims can anyone on here help please?
Sims 4 on my PC crashes constantly!!
I play sims 4 on Pc. And since the last updates my game wont start for 2 or 3 tries. And when it does load it crashes when i travel and anytime i try and save. It crashes when my sims are walking around their home too. it just crashes constantly! I did have mods in a t first and it crashed. So i took out all my mods and started a new vanilla save and it still crashes! I need help!
After Aug 2026 update, bottom-left UI is cut off, hindering gameplay.
After the August 2026 update, the UI started acting up—the bottom-left corner was cut off, and with a large family, the interface became too small and hard to navigate. I’ve tried removing mods, repairing the game, clearing the cache, adjusting the UI scale, and changing the graphics settings, but nothing fixed it. This screenshot shows a new household I created in vanilla mode. If updates are going to introduce bugs like this every month, they might as well stop releasing them.Severe lag when starting game since last update
Ever since the last update just after Bridgerton, my game has been completely unplayable. It lags so badly, from startup all the way until I close it. I have tried removing mods, packs, DLC, etc. Nothing worked. I have also uninstalled it completely and did a fresh reinstall three different times with full system restarts. My graphics card is an NVIDIA 4090, and its drivers are all up to date. I also selected the option to force the game to use the graphics card and not the automatic/integrated graphics. I am at my wits end with this. I can't play at all, despite having no issues at all prior to the update even with a bunch of mods and all the DLC.
Smaller slanted sunshine windows consistently crash game
In build mode when trying to place the smaller slanted sunshine window from the eco lifestyle pack, the game crashes quickly. I can place a few of them and move the camera around a bit, but every time within about ten seconds the game just freezes or I'm suddenly back on my desktop. There is no error message, not from Sims4, the EA app, Steam or Windows. Installed DLC's: Werewolves, Cottage living, Eco lifestyle, Cats & dogs, Perfect patio stuff, Tiny living stuff, 4 Seasons, Get together, City living, Vampires, Island living, Strangerville, Country kitchen kit. No custom content or mods. I have verified the integrity of the game files (Steam) and tried it on different saved games and different worlds -it keeps happening. The larger versions of the slanted sunshine window seem to not cause this problem. System: Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core (4.70GHz), Graphics AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT, RAM 32GB (31.1GB usable), 64-bit, Windows 11 Pro (25H2)
Sims Not launching from the EA App
I have not played the game in over a month. I do see my game was updated and since the game has been updated, I can not open the game. I click launch, it will look as though it is launching, but it ill go back to the EA App screen. I have completed the below to troubleshoot took out MODS folder repaired the game cleared cache uninstalled/reinstalled app and game Ran under as administrator You name it, I did it. Please HELP!!
Save not working
I just updated my sims 4 game today to the most recent update. I've been having issues saving it all day as it constantly keeps loading anytime I try to save while I'm in build mode. I've had to restart my computer (7 times) entirely just to get out of the game as nothing would work to get me out of the app (on PC). This most recent time I was able to save while in build mode with no problems for about 40 minutes until I put some clutter down in a bedroom and tried to save again. The screen proceeded to have the loading symbol and I couldn't exit out the game and had to turn my computer off. I have already checked my tray, my mod folder, etc. to find out if it's a mod issue and nothing. Any help on what I can do to prevent this from happening every time I place clutter would be greatly appreciated.
Unplayable before and after 08/06/2026
I have been having trouble playing the game before and after the update on 08/06/2026. My installation of the game has been fresh. I've tried renaming the Sims 4 folder to generate a new clean folder. The game starts, gets to the loading screen with the spinning green crystal on a blue background and crashes to desktop. This is on a clean install. No mods. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Keyboard stops responding in game after playing for a while..
my keyboard stops responding in game after playing for a while. yes i made sure it was connected properly, no ive never had this issue outside of the sims with this keyboard, and no it has never happened before. and no the keyboard is not new. same setup etc. it does it with and without mods. and happens every day i play. i have full functionality otherwise and have to restart the game to move the camera again. im on PC.
Game crashing when opening game after August 6th Patch
Hi ! I hope someone can help with this or make sure it gets where its supposed to! ^^ I just updated my game to todays August 6th Patch update & when I tried opening my game, it got stuck on loading screen for several minutes, I decided to force-close the game, remove my mods, repair the game, delete all things related to cache & lastthumbnailcache & tried again WITHOUT any mods or CC at all! Zero, zip, nada! And the game still stuck me on an infinite loading screen that lasted for exactly 3 minutes before the game crashed itself. So, to summarize, I tried twice. With mods & then without. I also am very diligent about what & where I download stuff so I know its not a mod or I would've already updated/removed it. EDIT: Attached the DxDiag !SAVE ISSUES
Hey guys, can anyone help? I have two separate games on sims 4 that I use and both were manually saved however the other day after using one game for most of the day when I went onto the loaded game section to find the other game it had disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. I tried to use EA support but nothing they suggested worked. Only the other game appears even through recover save.travel crash
whenver i try to make my sim go home, my game stays on the loading screen and it crashes. i'm unsure how to troubleshoot it or just to stop playing entirely. I've tried managing it, but since i got the game through steam, I'm unsure what to do. I know about the fix today, so hopefully that helps. thank you for your time!
My sims wont save if I put down game clutter?
Ive had this issue since the update, because right after it was when I completely wiped all my sims data, fixed up my mods and started sims new, but since then ive had issues where my game just refuses to save after I place down clutter items? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I can put down game and cc beds, bedside tables, counters, toilets, ect - all that necessary stuff including things like couches and TV's, but as soon as I put down clutter or plants, it just wont save?? Idk what to do
Game Crashes In Build Mode
Does anyone know what build mode Mods/CC are broken after about fifteen minutes of playing in build mode my game freezes and crashes I don't think it is any of my mods, but I just am unsure if there is one that I don't know about. I was having this problem without mods last week ever since the last update with the auto save, but now it seems when I have mods that it crashes.For Rent Corruption
Does anyone know if For Rent is still corrupting saves if you have a lot of clutter or a lot of rental properties? I stopped playing a year ago because of it and having kept up with the updates to know if it’s been fixed or not. If it hasn’t, does anyone know if there are certain ways to avoid save corruption besides using no decor or rental properties? I’m a big decorator and planned on making a legacy/storyline save using one (JUST ONE) rental property.
