Sims 1 Relationship panel
In Sims 1 Legacy the relationship panel shows no more than 5 sims and swaps depending on who's on the lot with you while still only capping at 5 sims on this panel. The Sims 1 missing some of the Deluxe content
While looking around the The Sims 1 installation directory, I noticed that the game is installed with the Deluxe Edition and should bring some new items, but, I noticed some of the Deluxe Edition items and clothes/skins are missing in the game. One exemple would be the new computer and office desk (the three tile long one) included with the Deluxe Edition. Thanks for making a game that was part of my childhood available again, it's honestly one of the best things I could ever ask for. The Sims Legacy won't launch after 02/06/2025 update
Hi everyone, After February 6 update, I still can't launch The Sims Legacy on Ea App. I followed the solutions suggested in a previous thread (Sims 1 Legacy Still not opening despite 2/6 update | EA Forums - 11872708), but unfortunatley, it didn't change anything. I have already updated my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 drivers to the latest version 572.16 and installed Vulkan SDK (as suggested to me by the consultant on EA Help) but the game still won't start. How to split a household in the Sims 1 Legacy?
Elden Hick has decided he wants to become a rock star and move into his own place. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to move Elden out of the house he shares with Mama. I don't see an option on the phone, computer or newspaper. The neighbourhood view only offers the option to move both out (evict). There doesn't seem to be a way of splitting a pair in the Family bin either (I tried with the Roomies). Googling hasn't popped up anything useful although one suggestion was to have another Sim ask him to move in with them - but even if that worked he'd be stuck with a roomie he doesn't want (and a second Sim in the house to play which is what I'm trying to avoid). When I first played this house years ago when Superstar came out I did the same - Elden moved out and became a Superstar. Mama kept her Culinary job, trained all the dogs to the max and went on to win many trophies at the Dog Shows. How was I able to do this back then? Was it a mod? Does their relationship have to be so negative that she asks him to move out (not even sure if that would work)? I just don't remember how I did it. Weird issue SIMS
Windows 11 (‘latest) 64gb ddr5 ram, Asus RoG strix board, Samsung ssd drive, gtx 4000t, 4K rog monitor, sorry, not at the pc so can’t get the exact spec, hard to keep track when you have like 5 computers in the house lol but I have no issues running any sims game or any game graphically. Apologies for the length wanted to include as much info as possible, Hi I will start by saying how happy I am to get the sims 1 and 2 digitally, not only because of all the faffing around you have to do to get them working but because I’m here right from the beginning with the Sims, so I love all the games. i understand that a lot of people are suffering from crashing for various reasons but my issue is a strange one, I’m not one for posting in forums never have but I wanted to put this here obviously for help but also in case anyone else has a similar issue in the future. the problem..or not? well to be honest the sims has been working fine for me, as soon as I purchased it, it started fine, played it a few hours and then turned off the game and tried sims 2, all worked fine no issues, which is great, problem is a weird one so I’ll try to explain the best I can. next day I decide to add a few mods from my old sims 1 collection which was installed, all have been checked prior to being installed years ago, plus well organised, plus my original version has been working fine for years, so I transferred over my saves and my cc, as mentioned you can, in the forums, that it’s possible, so I did that, everything has been working amazing with no issues with the sims 1 & 2 until I noticed one item in my sims 1 cc that would crash the game when selected in the build buy catalog, my game crashed. fast forward two days, as I have all the games installed with cc, my sims 1,2 (UC) ,3,4 have all been working with no issues for as long as I can remember. If I ever have an issue it’s normally to do with mods that need to be updated but I have OCD with my mods folders, they’re easy to find so easy to update. so because all my games are well maintained, I decided with the new release, to start fresh with the sims 1, sims 2 was fine, copied my saves over with my well organised cc folder and it’s been working fine since, clean Ui was effected for some reason so had to install that again due to a black box in the top left on the loading screen, but I reinstalled it and it’s fine, even managed to get ikea stuff back in, played it, everything fine, no issues. so because of the new sims 1 release I decided, I would start fresh with sims, already have my saves and cc backup so went ahead a uninstalled the sims one to start fresh. (which is also backed up) Uninstalled the game, cleaned up file remnants and restarted my pc. Went into the place it was installed deleted any left behind folders so they are recreated on installation. So I reinstalled, now the problem is, when I start the game now it crashes, seems similar to what other people are going through, but if I rename sims legacy to sims legacy old and rename my bloated sims 1 to legacy which I always save a copy of, back into the folder, the game loads, if I Remove all my mods as in a completely fresh install the game won’t start, im absolutely bamboozled by this because you would think fresh files are the safest, cleanest and most reliable but it doesn’t load. Until I rename my older installation to legacy then, the games runs like a dream, except the item I mentioned, despite a fresh installed. No clue why, hoping someone can shed some light and maybe help because ideally I want to start a fresh game, I’ve tried even deleing user data and have the game regen it but still doesn’t work, so seems a fresh install is a no go, and the only way I can continue playing is if I use my old files, I will add though, that this is the second install I’d be doing, because when it released, I installed from EA, worked fine, copied games over, and mods, and works fine, this was not me copying over the complete collection but the new release, still crashed when I try to reinstall but works with my old backup with 8gb of mods fine. again sorry for the length but it’s a tricky one, and I’m guessing not what other people are experiencing or are they? Maybe something in the old files is working, which would have been the files, prior to any updates, maybe something for ea to look in? The Sims Legacy Houses Invisible, Graphics Driver Update Error
Hello, Im having the exact same issue mentioned here: Sims 1 Legacy Bundle - Houses invisible | EA Forums - 11863132 and tried to update my graphics card as puzzleaddict mentioned in that thread. Sims 1 crash on launch, post Feb 4 update
This thread is for Sims 1 crashing on launch after the February 4 patch. If you're affected, please provide the a dxdiag, a vulkaninfo report, and an EA App error report ID. Please also post a screenshot of any error message you see, or note that you don't see an error. See below. For the dxdiag, click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons. For the vulkaninfo, click Windows key-R, enter vulkaninfo in the run box, and wait for the scan to finish (the scroll bar should stop moving). Click anywhere in the window and click ctrl-A to highlight all the text. Click ctrl-C to copy. Open Notepad and ctrl-V to paste. Save the file as vulkaninfo [your username] , upload it to a third-party filesharing site, and send a private message to EA_Solaire with the link. If you have a gmail account, you have Google Drive too and some free storage. Otherwise, Dropbox and Pastebin are good options. Here's how to create an EA App error report: https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/ Please post the report ID in this thread along with your dxdiag. For the error message, if you have one, you can use Windows key-shift-S to take a screenshot. Sims 1 still has issues and needs another update
After the Feb 4th update, the game finally launches for me, but this weird fuzzy black bar is across the screen during gameplay and it won't go away... it makes it so hard to see their needs and forget about trying to build a house or buy anything because its also hard to see.... and EA almost fixed it. I have never played Sims 1 ever and I was so looking forward to this release so that I finally could experience it. I am having a problem with The Sims 1 Legacy edition. I want to send my sim to travel to Old Town Quarter, one of the lots in the bottom right. However, this lot and the lots near it are unclickable. In fact, all the lots in the right side won't display any info and are not clickable. I Cannot Go to Certain Comunity Lots in Old Town
I was playing The Sims 1 Legacy Collection and I found a really anoying bug. When I choose "Explore Old Town" from a Phone, It opens the map so I can select where I want to go. But for some reason, half of the screen cannot be selectable (bellow in red is the area in which the mouse don't), so I can't go to those places. Even the buttos above like the food and recreacional areas don't work. Also, there is this graphical bug where a large blue square appears behind the map. I already made sure my graphics drivers are up to date but all houses I try to play in show up invisible. The Sims 2 Legacy game seems to be running fine. Has anyone found a fix for this? Sims 1 legacy stuck at vacation load
Hi there I've been trying to get my sims legacy to work. I had problems from the get go. Had to update my microsoft visual drivers 64 and 86, uninstalled the old ones. I installed the game and reinstalled, I run it as admin. I usually have to cut to desktop exit the Sims and then open it again and it works. Well to a point. I've loaded unleased, superstar and hot date and it lets me make a family and go to the other lots except for downtown . Anytime I open downtown or try to click any home lots it tried to download the vacation pack and it freezes. I've tried many times And it gets stuck there every time. The Sims 1 won't play in any resolution other than native.
So, i bought the sims 1 legacy collection on origin/the ea app, but when i opened the game the neighborhood map was ridiculously small and cropped, the ui was tiny, and the game was way too zoomed out for my liking. There wasn't any way to change the games resolution and alt + enter did nothing, despite people saying it changes the resolution, so i decided to change my computers overall resolution temporarily while i play. But when i did that and opened the game, as soon as i enter a family the screen starts flickering black and it continues to do so until i either quit the game, or go in windowed mode. Normally I'd just play in windowed mode and not really care but in windowed mode it doesn't fully fit on the screen (because of an annoying border at the top) and part of the UI is cut off and i can't see the bottom 2 needs. Does anyone have any advice? I posted this in 3 different subreddits and nobody even replied. I was finally able to get the game up and running with one of the solutions posted in the forum and the game itself runs just fine. Able to create sims, do the tutorial, travel, save, etc. BUT! Now there appears to be missing sounds in game. Music plays anywhere its applicable, in build/buy mode and radios. But there are no sounds from the Sims themselves or other objects tv/toilet/phone/etc. So the voices and sound effects are missing. I noticed that some random pets that wandered onto my lot had sounds though. I have repaired and tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game but there were no changes. This is the only game I am having issues with sound so I know its not an issue with my speakers. And I've triple checked the sound options in game as well, there should be sound but there isn't. Where is the saved games location of The Sims 1 Legacy? How can I restore my old games? I tried to put my saved old houses in UserData location as it was and it doesn't work. They don't appear. EA point here https://help.ea.com/en/help/the-sims/the-sims-legacy-collection/the-sims-minimum-requirements/ the save game path is in My Documents>Electronic Arts, but this doesn't make sense. The Sims Legacy - unable to open the cheat console
Hi, I am unable to open the cheat console in the Sims Legacy. The classic Ctrl+Shift+C doesn't work, I tried adding the Windows key to this combination or pressing right Ctrl/Shift instead of left ones, but no luck.
