This has been going on ever since I have been playing again so I am reporting it now as it is a real pain in the rear. When a sim is holding their toddler and tries to start tummy time as seen in the photo, an error message shows saying, "You can't do this in water". I used to think it might be the house they were living in, but it has been consistent across houses. Since it won't work this way, my sim has to put the toddler down on the playmat and then initiate tummy time by clicking on the playmat. This is a HUGE pain because my household is so busy that in the short time between putting the child down on the mat and then choosing tummy time as a separate interaction, something can distract my sim in between that short time. And there is enough hang time once a sim decides to do something that they might be halfway across the house before whatever I told them to not do cancels, and they have to walk back again. it is not as bad timewise with my vampire sims as they can get back quite fast, but they're also gone faster. There is just no reason for it when I obviously should be able to initiate the tummy time while they are holding the toddler. Please fix this!!! I started using mccc again yesterday, but the problem goes on in a clean game too because as I said, it's existed since I restarted playing.
Sim Isn't Getting Promoted
I was playing with my family and the sim I was using would reach a certain level in their career and would stop getting promoted. They kept getting raises but not promoted. My sim was on level 7 or 8 in business with +12 raises. When I try to cheat and manually promote her the game freezes and won't even let me save. It's making it hard to play when I'm scared my game won't save and my sim can't advance:(The same butler exists in ALL households
My households used to have a different butler than other households, but something changed, and for some time now, it doesn't matter which household I go to, the same butler guy is there. The npcs that used to be butlers are still around but they're just regular npcs now. It is all I can do not to kill the sim that is playing the current butler because he is a lazy schmoozer. He has the active trait, yet if my sims don't make him get on the treadmill by mentoring him, he will get so fat he probably won't be able to get through doorways if I didn't make them exercise him. If I fire him and then call for butler again it will just be the same guy. WHY can't we have choices. I don't want a lazy, fat butler. Nor do I want to have an elderly broken down and always holding their hip butler either. I used to hate that the butler's changed out every time my sims went somewhere it seemed, but this is much worse always having the same butler across all households. I'm not sure if this was an intended change or something that needs to be fixed. Hopefully the latter.
Reclaimed Woodworking Table Missing?
I can’t progress on the Nature’s Calling quest because the Reclaimed Woodworking Table won’t show up in build/buy mode. I have completed all of the quest parts up until the point where it says to “Buy the Reclaimed Woodworking Table on a Home Lot”. It’s been over two weeks since I’ve claimed the item but it still won’t show up in my game, despite reloading the game multiple times, trying without mods, repairing the game on the EA app, etc. I’ve done everything I can think of, but it’s just not there. Please, I’m tired of being unable to complete the quest because of this bug.Do Mermaids Not Have Traits?!!
So, I've had Island Living from Day One, but somehow never got around to making a mermaid until now. With Enchanted by Nature, I thought it would be fun to make an Irish mermaid, and have her live in Willow Green with the fairies. But to my considerable shock, while I can select an aspiration, I do not have the option to add any traits for her. Is this normal? I don't remember ever hearing anything about this before, and it definitely seems like something simmers would have complained about, a lot. Or could it possibly be a bug related to the new pack? If this is actually intentional, man, what a bummer. I can't imagine why they would have done that.
How do you keep your "guests" little toddlers from destroying your property?
So, a sim (I renamed him John Redcorn because that who he looked like to me) called and said, hey I need some time - can I stay over. Little did I know that he was bringing his entire family (his wife, son and toddler). My sim only had a 2 bedroom house, with a finished basement, yoga studio, and she recently added on an attached greenhouse. Well their little spawn of satan keeps destroying my plant, and my sim can't discipline the little brat because she isn't their parent, and their parents (well they just eat my food, don't clean up, and want to chat all of the time.). How do you discipline another sim's toddler?
Renting Apartments making building disappear
A was renting the Fountainview Penthouse from San Myshuno and separated it into two units. I rented both, and all was fine. Until I justly evicted one of my tenants. I can only think that might've been the issue, because a couple of hours later, even after I continued to solve issues for the other rented unit, the problems started not being solved, even when I hired an expert contractor and the rented apartment disappeared from my rentals, so i couldn't visit. When I visited by my own, the whole building had disappeared!! I panicked and went into building mode to confirm it. I tried to build on it, but when I got out of the building mode, the screen looked like it'd crash at any moment. Help😰😰😰😰😰
My own Lot got corrupted while building it ?
So I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem, since yesterday i was building on a lot in Innisgreen (the tree one) and at some point it made my game freeze. I can't save it to the gallery or libary, nor can i access it in build mode, no cc used it's literally just a shell and some terrain. I can't explain to myself what the issue is, it get's stuck in diffrent save files, removing and turning off mods didn't change anything. So it seems like the lot got corrupted but literally like how, I am so frustrated cause i don't understand it and you can't repair the game with the ea issue. If anyone has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated.Pregnancy Issues
I started a legacy challenge unaware there was currently a problem with pregnancy. I quickly noticed that the option to try for a baby is gone, no matter how high the romance level is. I did have a mod for risky woohoo on, so my sim did end up getting pregnant, however the pregnancy test option is gone, and the games not registering that she's pregnant. The little notification/emotion at the bottom left is not there, she's had a baby bump for 4 days. I have removed any pregnancy mods I had on, tried forcing labor, and tried downloading a mod to fix it, bit nothing worked, the options are still not there for future kids and she's still pregnant.
Sims using clothes I have not chosen in CAS
Hi, I have just noticed that my fairy sim suddenly has started wearing an outfit I have not chosen for her. It is nowhere to be found when I go into CAS or choose outfit via a dresser/wardrobe. When I played 2 days ago she did not have this outfit. I have not done any changes to this save, nor have I added/removed any mods. I have no CC, but I do use some mods, like UI cheats and MCCC and some small ones.. I have opened one other savefile but there everything was as it should be. Not really sure why this has happened to only this save? Could it be a resurfaced bug from latest update/patch? I saw one other simmer having a simmilar issue with the game 10 years ago..What can we store in the "Classic Apothecary Cabinet?"
Hello there! I recently tried to store items in the "Classic Apothecary Cabinet" from the Realm of Magic pack, but only a few objects actually go inside. At first, I thought it might be limited to potion ingredients, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, apples don't go in, yet lemons do. Some herbs and flowers work, but not all: parsley doesn’t go in, daisies do, but not begonias? I also assumed we’d be able to store potions in it, but apparently not? So, what exactly can we store in the Classic Apothecary Cabinet from Realm of Magic? Is this a design choice or possibly a bug? I tested this with no mods installed. Here's what I currently have: EP: 02, 05, 08, 11, 12, 13 FP: 01, 15, 29, 35, 36, 37, 43, 46, 49, 61, 63, 67 GP: 04, 08 Thanks in advance for any insights! Hi all, So I have installed the fairies (bought and paid for). During installation it said that I didn't own the digital content and did I want to continue to download or pause (why would it try to download something I didn't own?) So not knowing what it was talking about, I paused and didn't give it another thought. I went back to my game. In the twelve hours since, it will not save (error code 13 - any ideas, folks?) I am currently running a repair for the second time since I installed the new extension pack. I've tried taking some old items out of my library. The mysterious paused download has disappeared. I have no CC or mods, I use the occasional cheat code and they have never caused a problem before. Any ideas, folks?A very dumb idea
I’d like to know who truly dumb idea it was to continuously close the the event menu when you need it the most. I consistently have open the event menu to make sure I’m getting everything done but here’s the problem. It glitches and starts to lag the game every time I have to open it. I had to save my game completely shut down the game because I tried to open it for my wedding. Every-time I tried to open it for the wedding I lost my curser and couldn’t do anything in the game. Why am I going through this problem. If people don’t want the event menu then manually close it yourself. It takes only one second, mind you. Some of us like to make sure we are fully completing events for holidays, parties and especially weddings. Why oh why would this automatically continuously keep closing. I play on Xbox so please no mod suggestions.
