The Gallery Isn’t Working
I updated the game and everything worked fine immediately after. I come back now and the lots that I’ve picked off of the Gallery have the faded green download arrow saying Lot already saved. When I go to my library, the lots are there. The lots I chose do not have CC and I have zero mods. I have closed the game and the app several times. I’ve repaired the games and updated the EA app. I’m unsure what else to try.
Losing the will.....
Like many others, my game hasn't worked since the update. The update to the update didn't work either. I've repaired the game, done the EA app recovery, tried all CC removed, tried adding it all back, I've checked all my mods are up-to-date, reinstalled the game and relentlessly searched the internet for some information, all resulting in NOTHING. I can click on the game icon, I get the loading screen with the plum bob, then I get the dreaded black screen with the music is playing. I cannot remember the date of the first update that did this, but it has been far too long with no update or solution. Why is there a lack of communication on this? You cannot stick your fingers in your cyber ears and just ignore all loyal players. I paid for a game, I paid for multiple add-ons and EA did something to screw that up, so its down to EA to hurry up and fix it, or at least have some communication with the loyal players that have just been dumped on. I'd be happy with an update that undoes the previous update, because I don't even want this overpriced and pointless marketplace. ....And yea I'm ranting here, but that's because error reports, installing, uninstalling, repairing, recovering, attempts to contact/speak to anyone, or even track down some useful information online is utterly impossible. I'd even be happy with a message saying "sorry its slow, but we are on it" rather than all of us being ignored. Someone sort it out. so i updated my game, and i have NO MODS i only have the expansion packs and stuff packs and stuff like that, but now my packs wont load, i bought my packs off steam and the EA shop, when i loaded in after updateing my steam packs were not downloaded at all so i had to re-download them all, then when i finally thought i could play all my textures and save files were courrupted, showing the missing texture thing, and all my female sims are red and white and no textures load on them, please please please help me. idk what to do, i have no mods and ive never downloaded a mod in my life and i just dont know how to fix this, i dont even know if i have a backup folder. please please please help. and also many times on steam it says the game file was locked when i was updating, idk if thats on your side or steams but i just need help. PLEASE.SMALL BUSINESS IN APARTMENT
Hello! I currently have my sim in an apartment, and i created a business lot for her in the apartment next to hers. Is there anyway to purchase that lot as her business? you can not visit it like normal or change the lot type on it. I already built both apartments very nicely and do not want to have to move her into that lot for the business. thank you!
No heatwaves in Sulani
Hi, there hasn't been a heatwave in Sulani in my game for the last two summers but when my sim visited Oasis Springs there was a heatwave there. I do have the weather set to just rain without thunderstorms in the game settings so my lot objects don't get destroyed by lightning but would that stop the heatwaves from appearing specifically in Sulani? 🤔Can someone help me?
So I tried downloading a couple of mods for my sims4 and I downloaded quite a bit but when i tried to load my game it failed. Then I moved all the mods to my desktop and tried to play the game that way but when I opened it the front page wasn’t my household it was some new one that i haven’t seen before. So I pressed load game and pressed on my household that i had saved but it was loading for a decade so I dropped that idea and reset the game now when I try to do the same it won’t even let me go to the game directly but i go to the pick world thingy and when I press on the house where my sims lived at it doesn’t say anything just create a new household to move in even tho i pressed play game for a household already.. CAN SOMEONE HELP???
Is it possible to turn off updates permanently?
My game has gotten big enough that I'm not interested in more packs, and I'm tired of regular patches constantly breaking my mods and my gameplay. I've turned off the auto-update option in the EA launcher, but recently the launcher has started to try to update TS4 every time I open it (the launcher), even though the option is still turned off. I always have to hurry to cancel the update and then put the launcher in offline mode so I can play. Is it at all possible to permanently "freeze" updates on the game so I don't have to do this every time I open the launcher?
Corrupted save
Hi, I'm unable to load any household in my save. When I try, game crashes. Other saves work perfectly fine. I have tried: -loading game without mods/cc -creating clean game folder -recovering save - every version didn't work -creating new family and moving them to empty lot - this new household is also not loading. Save loads to the map, I can open CAS (from family menu), I can build on lots. Everything else doesn't work. My game version is 1.119.109.1020. Thanks for the help, this save is really important for me as there is so much I have createdFailed to Load Game/ BUG
About two days ago, mid game I got a pop-up that said, "Failed to Load Game" and that they recommend that I restart my game. I have restarted my game plenty of times and even let the game sit for a while. With absolutely no fix. But every time I load in, it gives me the same pop up. I do not have an CC or Mods; I play base game with packs that I have bought. I saw some posts saying that it happened to other people, but they have CC or Mods. Please fix this, I miss my game.
