My game keeps getting stuck on the loading screen
Whenever I try to play a my sim family by clicking on a lot, the game gets stuck on the loading screen and I can't access the gameplay. I've already tried the following steps to fix the issue: Deleted the localthumbcache.package file. Moved my Mods to my desktop Repaired The Sims 4. Even after these steps, the issue persists. I can reach the main menu and the map/lobby screen just fine, but as soon as I click on a lot or play game to enter the game, it gets stuck in the loading screen indefinitely. What can I do to resolve this issue ?
Game still crashing
I use to have mods and stuff and deleted them to see if that would help, it did not. Are you using custom content or mods in your game ? Not anymore At what point does your game crash ? Between start and within an hour of playing. Is the crashing random or is there a pattern ? I say random because I can't see a pattern. But maybe if I scroll the screen too fast or I put the game on x3 speed. Is it an occasional crash or constant ? VERY constant.
Unrecognized Video Card
Out of nowhere, I started to get unrecognized video card pops, making my game unplayable. Not sure what happened, but I tried to delete my files and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Not sure what else to do, I have been playing for years and have never run into this issue.
An error on our end caused the launch to fail try again a little later
I've had the same problem for the last 2 months of the same error no idea to how to fix it the game starts for a few seconds see the starting loading screen before the start game menu and immediately crashes I've looked up any and everything I've removed my mods nothing reinstalled them nothing uninstalled the ea app reinstalled it nothing installed it on the ea app nothing installed it on steam nothing deleted the ea cache nothing used task manager to stop EA backgrounds then manually start the game nothing make everything administrator nothing make sure all the distributibles are not only working and repaired nothing Repaired and checked the integrity of the files I'm lost beyond lost I want to play the game that I have spent money on but whatever they did Is not allowing me to When Is later EA
Lagging Making Game Unplayable
can anyone please help me I have severe lagging in the Sims4 in Live mode and Build mode it only started a couple of weeks ago. It happens as soon as I open the game and it's so bad I can barely move the screen, press anything or even click the three dots in the upper right corner. This problem seemed to have just appeared out of nowhere and was all fine before. I have a brand-new laptop with the right specs to run the game, and the lagging appears with and without mods. I have tried everything, and I don't know what else to do. I have also attached my dxdiag I don't really know what I'm looking at so if anyone could tell me if there is anything wrong, I would appreciate it. Honestly I don't know how it happened, but now my TS4 says my notebook doesn't have enough storage to run the game when actually it has more than 90gb free. I had the game ever since 2023/2024 but something happened and I had to uninstall it, but I installed it again on the same day (today). It was kinda okay when I had it, I uninstalled because of a bug that I didn't had patience to solve. Okay. I tried running the game but it was lagging and it said that I didn't have enough storage to run with my DLC. Mind you, I tried delete some DLC but the window still shows up when I open my TS4, only when it doesn't have not even one DLC that it's okay. I also tried changing the graphics config. but nothing happened. One time a window popped saying I should play with origin because my pc didn't support the x64 version (my notebook is x64) . I don't know what origin is, I don't know what to do, I don't know how to use a origin (?), and I really don't want to play without my DLCs. I hope you guys can help me. I bought a new gaming laptop and immediately started having weird mouse issues in the Sims 4. When I click on terrain to try and rotate the screen, my clicks don't register two-thirds of the time and I'm not able to rotate anything. I tried using three different mice, including a wired gaming mouse, and had the same result with all of them. I also don't have anything weird going on with mouse clicks in anything else on the computer, just the Sims 4. I tried updating all my drivers and they should be up to date. I did notice something weird with this laptop, and its that Sims thinks it has a much larger screen than it actually has (my 13.5in laptop has a 2256 x 1504 display, which is probably why). It has kind of a weird aspect ratio, too. I manually chose a different and lower resolution and adjusted the UI elements to scale them up, but I'm not sure if this is related somehow? Does anyone have any ideas or advice? I set my computer display to have 200% scaling, but the Sims doesn't recognize that and I can't set the scaling that high in the game without it scolding me repeatedly. Edit: after doing some more testing, this is definitely related to me changing the display resolution to something other than my laptop's actual resolution. When I use 2256 x 1504 and manually set my UIScale to 50 (I think that's 200% scaling? That's what my laptop is using.) then I don't have the mouse click issue. However, I still have the issue of the game thinking my display is twice the size it actually is and scolding me and trying to get me to revert back to no scaling. It asks me this every time I open the game which is why I changed the display resolution to begin with (I already had auto-adjust turned off.) High-resolution displays on laptops are becoming more common, so I'd like to suggest allowing a larger curve of acceptable UI scaling, or at least a setting to let us turn that off permanently. Hi, i had to uninstall and then reinstall my game but after reinstalling none of my kits or packs are being acknowledged in game. On the actual EA app it says they are bought and installed, but in-game it says i need to restart everything for them to show up. Even after trying that, they still wont show up in game. My saved games look so ridiculous standing around essentially naked. I bought the extras and my base through EA, so it isnt some mix up with steam and EA. If i go to any of my previoisly purchased pack, i can purchase them again and they show up saying "installed" and yet i cant actually access them.all saved and prev saved games gone after update
I didnt play the game for a few months, logged on a few days ago, did all of my updates and my game is completely new. i only have 1 account, so i know im logged in correctly. when im on the main menu, there is no load previous games, my entire gallery is gone. i went into my file explorer, went into sims4, saves, i can see but they arent openable documents, going to attach a snippit of what that screen looks like. im not sure what to do to find my game :(
black screen between each action
When my game starts, my screen turns completly black. Then, in between each action (making a new save, putting new clothes on a sim, modify his appearance...) i get a black screen for three or four seconds. I have tried everything : deleting my mods and cc, disabeling them, reparing my game, switching it from french to english, deleting all my saves and reshades... Nothing works. I also made a lot of space on my computer, disabled some packs and lowered the game performances. Nothing changed.My save has changed completely
This morning, when I opened the save I'm currently playing with, I randomly got a lot of achievements I absolutely did not get, all my sims' abilities were gone, they were unemployed, and they all had just one personality trait that was not what I chose for them. Also, the moment I started playing, they all got older. I already tried to repair the game, but it didn't work, and now I don't know what to do. I've really put a lot of effort into this save, and I don't want to lose it all. Any suggestions?
Game crashes when going on Getaways
Ive been really wanting to send my child to Camp Gibbi Gibbi so I set up the lot and assign the schedule, location and rules. I click to start the getaway and it loads. FOREVER. After a while my game crashes and lost 2-3 ingame days of gameplay. I catch up and try again and save twice before setting up the getaway. It starts loading forever again and then crashes. This is the first getaway I've tried since the pack released and I've planned a few for my sims so I hope I can get it to work. Any help please? (Im only using MCCC and UI Cheats plus a few smaller mods that dont break in updates.) (Edit: I managed a work around by travelling to the lot and then setting up the getaway but it would be convenient if i could do it from my home lot)Game stuck at camp Gibby Gibby
Been playing the new pack, no mods installed. My kid sim went to camp Gibby Gibby, but now she's stuck there. First the getaway ended naturally, and crashed twice that way. Then I tried ending the getaway early, it crashed. I tried switching control to a family member at the home lot, it crashed. I'm able to go to manage worlds and enter other households, but not the one I was playing. It just crashes again. I tried waiting in a different household until the getaway should have ended, but the kid was still there, and the game crashed trying to enter the household. Repairing game files didn't work. I dunno what's going on but it's super annoying.Disappearing UI after entering BB mode
Hi, I'm not sure what information is relevant to my issue so I'll just include everything I can think of. I have The Sims 4 installed on both EA app and Steam, I have purchased most of my EPs through EA but a couple through Steam and it is accessed through Steam. I have a couple of issues - one is that despite updating the game every time there has been an update, it says my menu is out of date. This may or may not be related to the main issue so thought I'd mention. My main issue however is that if I go into Build/Buy and then into live mode, it shows me this image (I will attach), my UI disappears and I am unable to do anything at all. I have: deleted all mods I used to have, turned off mods altogether, uninstalled and re-installed, verified game files, done the clean folder method, deleted localthumbcache, turned off OneDrive, and probably a million other things I could think of or found online that could potentially help but the problem persists. I'm hoping it's a very simple thing I'm just overlooking that someone may be able to answer, I have no idea what the pop-up I'm getting with the llama means. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I miss my game! Thank youCan't click on second floor or have any sims access it!
The second floor of my build can't be clicked on to say "go here" nor can any Sims do anything on the second floor. I've tried removing fences, walls, removing stairs, using ladders, removing 1x1 tiles, moving picture frames, removing roofs, EVERYTHING!! I'm losing my mind! I figured this one would need the gallery, so it's called "pls help my second floor" by junebuggle-taken As far as I remember, only the Sims outfits have CC, but the build is non-downloaded if that helps!
