Urn mentions wrong name?
My sims friend died in a fire he started on my lot and I wanted to ‘release his spirit to Netherworld’ However, after clicking the option to do so, he spawns on my lot and the urn still has the option to release him- but, when hovering over the option it mentions my sims name when before it didn’t mention a name at all? Is there any way to fix this? I’ve tried reloading the game already.
How to Stop my Sims from Changing When They Go to School
This isn't a bug but it does annoy me. Every time my sims go to school or university, they will change into their Everyday Outfit Slot 1. This happens even if they are already wearing an everyday outfit just a different slot or they are wearing their hot or cold weather outfits. Is there anyway to stop them from changing? It always creates more laundry lol and I spend a lot of time on all their outfits just for them to put on their default one.restaurant plot won't open, others will
I've tried resetting cache, gone through the mods better exceptions has been telling me is the problem. And now I'm stuck. on the restaurant zone director and I haven't been able to get off of that. Its been on 10% and nothing else is working.. I really don't want to lose the restaurant I worked so hard top build. “failed to load saved data” error when downloading from the gallery.
This query is on behalf of a friend: Their lots shared to the gallery, from a particular save file, are yielding a “failed to load saved data” error when either they or others try to download & place them. For context of the trouble shooting list below One of the problem lots is a rebuild of Municipal Muses with a ghost attached to the lot The save file is base game only, using James Turner’s pack disabler. BBB, MCCC, UI Cheats, and Larger Households mods have all been enabled in the save as well, and a CAS background replacer. Trouble shooting notes: Opened a new-ish save, made around the same time as the save file ❌ Place Municipal Muses (new version) on Municipal Muses lot ❌ Place Municipal Muses (new version) on a different lot ✅ Save OG Municipal Muses to the library ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses on the Municipal Muses lot ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses on a different lot Opened the oldest save I have ❌ Place Municipal Muses (new version) on Municipal Muses lot ❌ Place Municipal Muses (new version) on a different lot ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses on the Municipal Muses lot ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses on a different lot ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses, but as a Residential lot, on the Municipal Muses lot ✅ Build and save a New Residental lot ✅ Place the New Residential lot on the Municipal Muses lot Created a brand new save ❌ Place Municipal Muses (new version) on Municiapl Muses lot ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses on the Municipal Muses lot ✅ Place OG Municipal Muses, but as a Residential lot, on the Municipal Muses lot ✅ Place the New Residential lot on the Municipal Muses lot ✅ Kill someone on the New Residential lot so it has a free-roaming ghost ✅ Can still place the New Residential But Now Haunted lot
Ice texture appearing over garden plots.
Has anyone experienced this in game & knows possibly how to fix it? I've done the normal trouble shooting of removing all CC/MODS & slowly going through my mods folder to find the issue. Even with Mods/CC removed & a new save is started this bug happens. You cannot delete the ice texture and a weird floating happens. This is in moonwood mill happens over the public garden area of the map. As far as I know this only happens in moonwood mill The current season is summer so I have no idea why this ice texture is appearing.
Un-corrupt a save?
Is it possible to repair a possibly corrupted savegame? My problem right now is my save wont load. Household loading causes the game to crash. I can enter cas but leaving it can crash the game. Creating a vanilla household and trying to move into a lot crashes the game. The last time I was able to play I immediently created a seperate save file for that savegame. But now I cant even enter live mode anymore. At the presumed end of the loading process I hear a notification popup sound and then it crashes. I already removed all CC and mods, repaired the game, removed setting files to have them created fresh... I even went through several backup saves (those .ver0-5 files in the save folder) which all have the same issue. I create a savegame of my current one at the beginning of the month. The one from end of november works fine. Everything works as expected. But the current december save doesnt work. So worst case scenario I lose three weeks of progress. I cant do anything with the lastcrash file. Its completely unreadable for me. Which probably means my december save is broken. Is there any chance to save it? Update: After some testing I found the oldest automatic backup thats just a few hours older than the initial save. It allowed me to load my favourite household again. It seemed it worked or wasnt corrupted yet. At least I thought so. I made a seperate save in a new slot again just to be sure. I managed to get into live mode. But it crashed when I entered & left cas. Now its crashing when I try to load the household.
[HSY] How to change active lot type in Auditorium venue through build mode
How do I change the active sub-lot type (Auditorium, formal dance, graduation day, career day) to make it ACTIVE. I know how to change between each one, but how do I make it the current active lot. The problem is I last edited career day lot, and switched back to auditorium, but the game keeps marking the career day lot as active. Through the world map, it marks it as the career day auditorium. the big problem is if I travel there with my sim through a regular basis (no events), it will still treat career day as default since it was the active one.How large is your biggest save file?
Hello, The recent problems with save files make me think about what actually a "large save file" means. In the latest EA article Save File Investigation Recap and Early 2026 Plans | EA Forums - 12987702 they wrote "We’ve found compelling evidence that some cases of missing Lots or disappearing houses may be caused by what we call a Protobuf Overflow - a situation where Lot or save data grows so large it hits its storage limit." How large is too large? My current biggest save file is about 155 000KB. I also remember I've had save files about 230 000KB or even bigger back in 2018. Many thanks for everyone who share with me the size of their biggest safe file and maybe issues they have to deal with!
[EBN] Advertised cross-pack feature doesn't exist?
The June 26, 2025 press release for Enchanted by Nature included the following line: With The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack, the Werevolves Game Pack and the Vampires Game Pack, Sims can use Apothecary crafting to create an Elixir that refills all needs instantly for Occult Sims. I can't find any evidence of this occult-specific elixir? Not in gameplay, not in buydebug. I've been able to unlock Werewolf, Vampire, and Spellcaster specific nectars on those occults when leveling nectar-making from Horse Ranch. Moonstone in Crystal Creations is explicit about the effects it has on both occult and regular sims.
Tattoo Artists Automatically Hired
Are there any community lots (aside from small businesses and AA custom lots) where a tattoo artist automatically spawns? I'd read online that Maker Space and Marketplace lots from Eco Lifestyle would automatically generate a tattoo artist if the table is placed but when I've tested it in game it seems I'm still required to hire a sim. Would love to know if there are any confirmed lot types where you can place and automatically have them generate.Error code 111:6a137a9c: 5102d3ec.
Please help-this error code keeps popping up and won’t let me launch game. I have tried deleting any empty plates in my lot to which they just end up in my inventory so I can’t really even delete them. I have also tried loading a saved version of this sim from a couple days ago, to which I got the same error code. Please help
Eyebrows automatic selection mismatched
The eyebrows of a brown hair sims were automatically assorted to his hair. After the last update, it was still clicked but his eyebrows where blonde. I unclicked and cliked again and it was fixed. The same happened to another brown haired sims who had eyebrows switched to black. I had pictures of those sims before and can confirm they had the right colour before the update. It happened to alien born of an abduction. No CC no mods.The sims 4 Adventure awaits costume
I have an issue where whenever I go to the Fitness Fest during Wednesday, my sim wants to put on a costume as it’s suppose to be but I can’t find any way to do it. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or I just don’t know where to look?? Other sims are wearing their costumes.BUILD SOS! Can't Click Second Floor
Where are my builders at??? Hi! Please help me with this issue I've had for days now. For some reason the second floor of my remodel is disabled? "Go Here" doesn't appear when I click on it. I've tried deleting the stairs, using ladders, rebuilding the walls/floors/ceilings. Nothing is working and I don't understand. I even tried moving the stairs to a completely different location.
