Sims 4 not sleeping
Hi All I am a long term player 20 + years so I know the sims well. Playings sims 4 currently and my sims are not sleeping the entire night. Can confirm - no mods, no electronics and its every household and every sim. Theres no music or pets. They are waking up when their bar isnt full and I have to put them back to bed maybe 2-3 times. Its only just happened recently. Anyone else having this problem? Wondering if its an update issue? Thanks
How to align stairs to platform
I bought a lot of expansions for The Sims 4 on black friday week. A little later I found out that most of the content is missing. Today I found a "bug" that doesn't fit my mind. You can't biuld stairs aligning to a platform. I can't build glass roof provided in the garden stuff package. My game sucks, and I wanna know why and if I am the only one having such problems.How large is your biggest save file?
Hello, The recent problems with save files make me think about what actually a "large save file" means. In the latest EA article Save File Investigation Recap and Early 2026 Plans | EA Forums - 12987702 they wrote "We’ve found compelling evidence that some cases of missing Lots or disappearing houses may be caused by what we call a Protobuf Overflow - a situation where Lot or save data grows so large it hits its storage limit." How large is too large? My current biggest save file is about 155 000KB. I also remember I've had save files about 230 000KB or even bigger back in 2018. Many thanks for everyone who share with me the size of their biggest safe file and maybe issues they have to deal with!
When a Sim Goes Into the Shower, Cleaner Than When They Emerge Again . . .
I find it a tad fascinating that I recently had a Sim who managed somehow to catch on fire. She wasn't so very charred after the fire was out. But, went to shower anyway. Why not? Yet, when she emerged from the shower she appeared worse off then when she went in . . . What is up with that? Before: And After:Free placement hotkey (shift) not working
I updated my game (for December 2nd 2025 update) and went to go finish a build and noticed my shift key wasn't disabling the snap grid thingy, I assumed it was one of my new CC but when I removed them all, shift still didn't work, so maybe it's a game problem? or me being stupid idk, im on basegame so its not from an addon/mod eitherSplit from Household and Move not showing up
the split from household and move option hasnt shown up in my game for months now and honestly it's starting to get irritating. I've had to use the "manage household" to transfer sims to already occupied lots, despite building an empty one specifically to move young adults out. I don't know if theres some weird glitch thats been happening for months or if its a feature that they got rid of, but i desperately need it back and dont know what to do.Sims detail edit mode is glitching
I noticed that my CAS is glitching. Whenever I go to edit a detail on the face its very jumpy and sort of flickers. At first, I thought it was an issue with the slider mods I have but I've tried uninstalling the game, checking integrity of game files, deleting the thumb file, updating my computer, and moving mods, yet nothing works. It's very annoying and makes it hard to correctly see what I'm doing during editing the face or body. Can anyone help or has this happened to anyone else?Manage Worlds Bug
I just started a new legacy challenge and every time I press save and go to manage worlds or just regular manage worlds my game crashes. This is making it very hard to do rotational game play and play with my sims extended family. Is anyone else having this issue? I play on console btw.
[EBN] Advertised cross-pack feature doesn't exist?
The June 26, 2025 press release for Enchanted by Nature included the following line: With The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack, the Werevolves Game Pack and the Vampires Game Pack, Sims can use Apothecary crafting to create an Elixir that refills all needs instantly for Occult Sims. I can't find any evidence of this occult-specific elixir? Not in gameplay, not in buydebug. I've been able to unlock Werewolf, Vampire, and Spellcaster specific nectars on those occults when leveling nectar-making from Horse Ranch. Moonstone in Crystal Creations is explicit about the effects it has on both occult and regular sims.Build Mode Malfunction
Every time I go into build mode my items keeps cancelling before I place them. I repaired my packs, removed all mods, and tried it on a new save, but it keeps happening. I'm not sure how to fix this. It wont let me place any items and when I shift items already on the map it... kind of resets? Basically, it cancels out. Anyone know how to fix this?
floating water across lot
Hello, I added a house to a 64x64 lot. it is perfect other than the floating water or green stuff floating. I cannot remove it in build mode, and my sims cannot walk through it. unless it is on the same level. It makes my workout room look ghastly. I've done a search on this, and they suggested moving the lot to a new lot. The house was placed backwards on the first lot, and the green stuff was in the front. I moved the house to a new lot, and the house is placed properly, but now the green stuff is in the back. If I delete and level the house and lot, only the green stuff stays. If I rotate the lot, it goes away, but when I lay the house again, it comes back. I can't rotate the house on the lot, for it takes up the whole lot. Issue with the Cooking Together
When you click on the refrigerator to have the family cook together, it doesn't work. I have to have someone cook first, then they can join. I have no mods in my game, and I have also repaired my game, and still no luck. CORRECTION: I guess I did have mods in the game and removed them, but I am still having the issue…😕Will Somebody Kindly Explain to Me . . .
. . . how two average mixed-breed horses breed a Clydesdale? Please see the picture below. I was totally shocked. the parents are in the forefront. Speckles, the sire, bottom left, Moonshine the mare on the right. Bab's Glory, in the background. Take a good hard look at her hooves! That's the mark of a Clydesdale.
Tattoo Artists Automatically Hired
Are there any community lots (aside from small businesses and AA custom lots) where a tattoo artist automatically spawns? I'd read online that Maker Space and Marketplace lots from Eco Lifestyle would automatically generate a tattoo artist if the table is placed but when I've tested it in game it seems I'm still required to hire a sim. Would love to know if there are any confirmed lot types where you can place and automatically have them generate.
