Infinite Loading Screen
EA figure this out please, I have tried everything I have found with your responses to people having the same issue! I have had the infinite loading screen problem for five days now, I have tried deleting the app, all my mods, the EA app, and then reinstalling everything and nothing has worked. This is so frustrating that no one on your team has given any other advice or things to try. Stop giving every single player with this issue the exact same answer, and then repeat your selves when it doesn't work, or thinking we did something wrong when we did everything you have said to the last key. Again, please figure this out, and stop giving people the same advice.
Many many (many) crashes
My game has been unstable for several months now. It's not consistent. Sometimes it crashes immediately on load. Sometimes it crashes when loading a save. Sometimes it crashes after playing for 10 to 20 minutes. And sometimes, just sometimes, it will play for hours without any problems. Oh, and I don't have any mods or CC. I've repaired the install. Many times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Multiple times. I know The Sims 4 isn't the most stable game ever made, but this is ridiculous. I have run DxDiag, which hasn't found any errors. I have run Windows Memory Checker, which hasn't found any errors. I ran Alienware's system diagnostic tool, which didn't find any errors. I don't know what else to look at. Cant tab out of sims4
Whenever I try to tab out look at Google, or discord, or anything really it just won't let me. Instead the sims 4 window stays on screen. It doesn't matter if the game is frozen or glitching or what, the game can be working just fine and it still does it. I don't want to buy a second monitor just to play a game I bought with my own money, because yes, I got sims 4 when it still cost money.
Issues with deleted mods reappearing
Hi, Seems I've got a bit of a rogue mod situation. I modded in a UI cheat a little while ago that turned out not to work so I deleted it. But now it keeps reappearing in my mod folder. It's not backing up to one drive so I'm unsure the cause of the issue? It's the only mod that I've had do this as well, I frequently delete and replace other mods and never have this issue. Anyone had anything similar happen and know how I can stop it? It's not much trouble once I start up my game and notice it's bugging out I go in and delete the mod and I'm free of it until I next fully shut my laptop down. Just keep forgetting to check in the mods folder to see if it's there or not before I start my game up so I've been getting jumpscared by my game bugging out semi often.Looking for a laptop suggestion to play the Sims4. I just need something that will run smooth and without lag when I have all the expansion packs downloaded. I'm also open to other suggestions. I've been trying to contact EA but i'm not getting ANY help what-so-ever and I'm going insane. I think my account got hacked or something because all of Sims 4 DLC is gone. I can't find any support, and I've spent alot of money on that game. Can anyone help??? I've done all the basic stuff. I just want to contact EA and I just need some help.
Glitching Game (pixelated) Freezing on start up
Hey everyone! I need some help fixing my Sims 4 game. Every time I load it up, the graphics get pixelated, and when I try to create a Sim, the game glitches out. It ends up freezing on the main menu or in Create-a-Sim, and I have to force quit using Task Manager. I’ve tried everything — cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, even reinstalled individual packs to see if one was corrupted. I’ve repaired the game multiple times and gone through all the troubleshooting steps with EA Support. I’m also not using any mods or custom content. My drivers are up to date, I’ve scanned for corrupted files on my computer, but the game still won’t work. At this point, I’m wondering if the issue is with the EA App itself. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d really appreciate it!
Sims 4 Crashing on Launch
This started about a week ago. No matter where I launch Sims from (Steam, EA, Desktop), the screen flashes black and white and then I get stuck on a white screen. I have over 600 hours of this game with no issues. I have tried: Resetting my PC, uninstalling/reinstalling Sims, installing just the base game with no DLC, Restoring my laptop to factory settings, clearing the EA cache, clearing the Steam cache, downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver, turned off cloud backup, moved sims to desktop, removed any and all mods, verified gaming files through Steam. I'm on a Victus laptop, intel core i7 13700HX, Windows 11 10.0.22631, Driver: Game Ready Driver Version 566.14 I'm not very well versed in computers so please helpsims 4 won't start
I just got a new laptop since I needed more SSD room for everything. I installed the ea app and all of my sims 4 expansions and base game and kits, all of that stuff. Now it is saying that it is damaged and I need to repair it because it won't start. I have repaired it 3 times and reinstalled it twice. It still will not work. Any idea on what I can do?
Game will not launch
I was playing my game perfectly fine with no problems a few days ago. Today I opened the EA app, went to go launch The Sims and it freezes. It is an all white screen with the dial spinning and spinning but it never opens or responds to anything. I end up having to use the task manager to close the game. I tried repairing the game as well and it still does not work. I do not use any cc or mods. From reading through this forum it seems I am not the only one having this issue but I though maybe posting something will catch enough attention for The Sims people to figure this bug out.Game freezes on opening loading screen or main screen
Whenever I open sims 4 (whether through double clicking the desktop icon, through EA or steam), the starting music will play and the game will either get frozen on the loading screen or will get frozen on the main starting screen. I have to go into task manager and click end task to close sims 4 because even trying to press stop in steam won't do anything. This issue started at the start of the year, so I stopped playing for a few months. Sims 3 also had the same issue. After uninstalling sims 3 on my laptop, I stopped having issues and could play again. However after only a few months of it being functional the issue returned. I had to eventually uninstall the sims 4 to be able to use photoshop on my laptop, but now that I dont need photoshop, I uninstalled it and reinstalled the sims 4, but still have the same issue. I have stardew valley on my laptop as well, and it seems to be running completely fine. I've tried deleting all of my mods and seeing if thatd help but nothing changed. I also renamed the sims 4 file on my laptop so that when i relaunched the sims 4 itd create a new sims 4 file so that I could see if it was an issue with one of my saves, however the issue remained the same. Is there anything else I can try???Stuck on save
I'm on a new save, building a house for my sims. Everything works super great and smooth, but the problem is that when I go to save i get stuck on the saving screen infinitely. I can close the game fine by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and opening the task manager to close sims, but it's just really annoying and hard to make progress. I'm assuming the issue is that when I go to save, something isn't fully loaded in and it freezes the game. I've found that making a few changes in build mode, then waiting for my computer to sleep a little, then going back to save works better but it's still excruciatingly slow to get anything done. I have CC and mods, which to be honest I totally need to clean out (I just don't know how lol) but other people that I found online that are having the same problem, had no CC and no mods so I'm not sure that it's the issue. I only started having this problem after installing the Life or Death expansion pack. I know a lot of other people have been having bugs with the pack but the posts I read from my specific problem were from a couple of years ago. I'm not sure what to try next, please help if u can <3
Game won’t launch
I just bought the game, as well as the games license along with it- but it keeps saying the EA app can’t read my game license, to relaunch it in online mode and to clear my cache. Well, I’ve been trying to launch it online, I’ve clear my cache about 4 times- I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled- I’ve repaired the app, the game, and even restarted my computer. And it still won’t launch the game? Customer support has been 0 help.
Trouble with EA APP
Is anyone having trouble logging into their game from EA app? This is the second time that I had repair my Sims4 game and I got two error messages. I followed all the instructions the first time and I got it working but it happened again today. First error message: Failed to create folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\ and here is the second picture below: in tiny red print Permission Error So far I had to uninstall both Sims4 game as well as EA app. and then reinstall it and it worked fine until now. And now its doing it again. So what is going on?
Laundry Day Stuff Pack Not Showing
At some point earlier this year, I added TS4 to my husband’s Steam account from EA so I could play on his computer. I’ve since gotten my own PC setup and redownloaded TS4 using the EA app. Every pack is visible and playable except for Laundry Day, and it’s driving me mad. It says it is purchased but I must have bought it through Steam and it can’t be transferred back over to EA? Is this the case?? Can I seriously not play it unless I’m on Steam? Because now I have bought MORE expansions through EA and its just a mess. My immersion is ruined without a functioning laundry room in my house builds ;-; I am seriously willing to pay for the pack through EA if it would let me but I’m afraid to try and have it waste my money if it doesn’t work… Can anyone help with this? I’ve tried reading up on it but nothing has helped or was for a different console outside of PC.
