My Sims game is very laggy after installing the game again.
Hello, my Sims game is very laggy after reinstalling the game after not being able to play the game due to an error code that happened saying my drivers could not run the game. To help this issue, I then moved my Sims game off of my hard drive back to my C: drive. After reinstalling the sims, it finally worked, and I was able to play again, so I thought. The game became very laggy. I do play with mods, so I removed them, and it was still laggy. I've tried multiple solutions, but nothing is working out. Game crashes after Life and Death update
I updated my game and mods a week or two ago and I've not been able normally since. I've tried playing without mods, taking my saves out, playing a new save etc. but the same thing happens: I load my save and it crashes within 10 minutes. At first, it only happened during loading screens but now it happens randomly. I've done everything I can think of — a clean user folder, driver & Windows update — so if anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it! Installed Game pack not showing up
I had a small problem with my sims 4 when someone else login in on my computer to play. After playing my game kind of crashed when I login back in after that the game pack Get famous is no longer working and all it says is to restart my game. I restarted my game multiple times, and it still won't work. This is the only game pack that isn't working which I suspect it's because it the only one that I bought in real life and use a download code for. Please update your game via Origin to play
I have only gotten to play this game maybe once since June. It is a different error every time. Please someone help me figure out what is going on and why there is always something wrong now. I simply can not keep doing this every update and get no help from EA anymore. There must be something we all can do as consumers. Anyway, I have never used CC or mods. When I first logged in i didn't get an error message the game just wouldn't open. I had a driver update so I did that. Then I got this message: "unable to start: there was an error processing the startup configuration script." I deleted cache and repaired my game. Now I get "The contents of your user data directory were created by newer version of the Sims 4 and cannot be loaded. Please update your game via Origin to play" which seems to be an old error message. We don't use Origin anymore and any posts I see are from at least 3 years ago. I deleted my sims files completely and redownloaded the game. I am still getting this error. Here is my Dxdiag. Crashing problem -- tried clean booting & reliability monitor
For about a month my game has had a consistent crashing problem. In the beginning it was maybe an hour or two before it started acting up; lately it's maybe 10-15 minutes before the game crashes. I've tested with updated mods/cc, no mods/cc, and even emptying my saves and tray bc that seemed to help (but didn't in the end...). Sometimes it'd crash before even opening probably, but that occurence is in the minority. After going through some of the threads here I tried clean booting both with and without wifi -- still crashed -- then finally reliability monitor. Sims 4 gaming hours changed after latest update
So I had nearly 18000 played hours and now after the latest update on november 7 it's showing around 5000 hours instead. I'm not alone in having this issue. Bug Fix-Malware- 11/7/24
Downloaded and installed the bug fix today. When completed I attempted to open and play game, but both Norton and MalwareBytes blocked the action. I have been unable to launch the game at all. Sims 4 won't launch, tried everything
Heya! So I've only recently had this issue. Recently as in, I was playing The Sims 4 earlier this morning, and maybe for the last hour and a half, I haven't even been able to get the game to start up. The EA app will go through the motions of launching the game, try to launch it, then the EA app will pop back up and the game will not. I've gone through Steam as well to see if that could kick start it, but Steam shows me as playing a game, not playing, then playing, then not playing again. I've tried the general solution of moving my Sims 4 folder from the EA documents folder, no luck. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Nuh uh. Repaired the EA app multiple times and restarted. Nope. Tried running the EA app as admin. *sigh* In all of this, I haven't gotten any error messages or anything. The game just won't launch. @puzzleaddict please would you mind helping me as well? Attaching my dxdiag, My game was closing initially within 10 minutes after opening when id place a plot from the gallery, so i decided to build a plot myself and lasted about an hour and then it still ended up closing abruptly while in build mode. i do use cc and gshade. Yesterday i attempted removing sims folder onto desktop so it made a new folder and its still crashing even after repairing game in EA. I recently got the new expension so was wondering if that's what's causing the issue? Hey, I am desperate for a fix. I just bought Life and Death earlier, everything seemed normal when installing it on my laptop. When I tried to load into the sims it crashed when I would select a household and try to play with them on the lots. Build mode works fine, but when picking a sim it always crashes. Also my game shows no items from Life and death at all even though I bought it and installed it, and when I started up the game it showed me that I downloaded it with the little info card, but in game no items or anything. I've updated my drivers, i've uninstalled and reinstalled the ea app and the sims 4, i've removed all mods, i've removed all my saved progress, i'm not sure what else to do to stop it from crashing. It's 4:39pm EDT, and I see lots of others playing the game, but I still cannot open it, as it says this: "World Not Installed. The Sims 4 Life and Death has been preordered and is not yet available for download". The circle on the worlds screen doesn't have a lock on it, but is greyed out. I've restarted the game four times, restarted the EA App repeatedly (I bought the pack through EA instead of steam). Restarted computer. What gives? game status disappeared
Hello, I last played Sims 4 at the beginning of October. When I started my game again a few days ago, my entire save game was gone. There were no old save games under the "Load Game" button either. I had always saved my game when I left the game. When I look in Windows Explorer under Documents, Sims 4, Saves, there are several files from 10/9/24 that I think are old save games that the game cannot load. My game was updated a few days ago. I had also used mods. I have already contacted EA Help and chatted with EA. They checked my game but could not find any errors, but they suspect that my game has a bug, which is why I should now report here so that the Community Manager can deal with it as a priority. Hello beautiful sims family, I have been experiencing this issue since the update in which when I start the Sims game via EA app or desktop, the screen opens to white (as though its getting ready to load) and then it crashes to desktop. No error or anything notification after the crash. I have removed all mods, repaired the game, and tried a fresh reinstall with no success. I will also attach my dxdiag text file to this as well. I've been having this problem since the update when through without my permission a few days ago. Every time I start the sims my screen flashes white and black and then the screen goes white and it won't leave the screen unless I restart my computer.
