Gallery all red crosses
Had an ongoing issue for about a year with the gallery having spinning loading symbols for ages, then eventually turning to red crosses. Searching for similar issues online suggests it's a firewall blocking it, but I've disabled all firewalls AND added the EA folders and Sims exe to whitelist and still not having any luck. I've also done the repair fix, deleted the cache file, done the EA app recovery, completely uninstalled and reinstalled, removed the SIMS 4 folder from Documents - EA and allowed a completely blank new game to install. Still no luck. If anyone has any ideas at all, I'd really appreciate it.2Views0likes0CommentsPacks are presenting as "Unowned"
Hello, I've scrolled through other discussions on this same issue people were having 3 years ago. However, I am using the correct login, one of my "unowned" packs is literally showing in my "Installed" section and my saved game shows all 7 packs I have bought. Now suddenly my purchase history is blank and my packs are all missing. I have tried every recommended option in the chat and I can assure you I'm in my correct account. I also tried restarting and repairing. Please help.3Views0likes0CommentsMissing Houses and Businesses After Recent Update
After the recent Sims 4 update, several houses and businesses disappeared from my saved game. I manually replaced the missing lots, but I still can't place any houses or businesses in Newcrest. I tried troubleshooting by restarting the game. I also manually replaced the missing houses and businesses in other worlds. The issue with Newcrest continues despite restarting. I'm unsure whether this is related to the recent update.3Views0likes0CommentsGame won't start after installing Get to Work
Good day, I am having trouble to start a game. After buying and installing expansion pack Get to work I cannot start the game. Following things were done Moving whole folder C:\Users\Natka\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 Running as Admin Ea App and The Sims 4 (all .exe files within C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\) as administrator Clearing cache of Ea App Uninstaling and installing the The Sims 4 Installing latest drivers Repairing the game files (2xtimes) I have included main folder of the game and document folder of the game to windows defender exceptions (Also disabled windows protection temporaly) Mod folder was removed before moving the Docment folder. I have attached dxdiag file for this matter. It behaves from Ea App as it is "trying to run" but never truly runs it. When trying to play it from .exe files the Ea App shows "Preparing game" dies and does not start it. Please, take a look into this. After this long debugging it does not make sense that with one Expansion pack is game unplayable. Looking forward to hear from you soon, [CM edit - descriptive title]100Views0likes2CommentsAccess to the content I paid for?
Just a humble Simmer. I play the game on Xbox and I use my main profile (DoloDuceDuke) to do so. I purchased all of my DLC from that profile, but because I got an error code 22 a while back that completely corrupted my save. I started using an older account that is also on my Xbox (TonyDolo 773). Most people will sign in on other consoles in order to “game share” which means whatever I have access to the other account should also have access to. Long story short, I purchased a kit using my main account, but when I went to play it on my backup profile it basically told me that I would have to purchase it again. It was as if it was never installed, even though I know, for a fact, it was. I’ve never had this problem with expansion packs, game packs, or stuff packs. I expect to have problems like this for creator packs, but this was a kit, which is technically through EA. I shouldn’t have to pay for my content twice, and quite frankly, this will be my last time purchasing one of these smaller pieces of content if this problem isn’t fixed swiftly💯adfcf29c25c9b75a8 hours agoRising Novice11Views0likes0CommentsERROR 801
To be clear and short, I tried to move my household from one lot to another (not using the phone), but no matter what kind of lot I choose, whether empty or already built, the game either gets stuck in an infinite loading loop or shows Error 801. I tried deleting the cache file, playing without any mods, deleting the latest saves and trying again, and verifying the game files, which were perfectly fine. I also searched for tutorials or other solutions, but nothing worked. I even created another save and tried again, but that didn't help either. I found out that the game itself has an issue with this type of error, but I'm still wondering when it will be fixed, considering that this error has been around for quite a while.18Views1like0CommentsSims 4 DLC removed from account
So, my sims 4 addon (Cats & Dogs) got removed for suspected fraudulent activity. But I paid for it so I don't understand why they would remove it like that. My only guess is that when Origin moved over to EA that same addon got removed from the files and then I had to buy it again (which I did so recently due to finances). Maybe because I had to buy it twice because it got removed? I tried repairing the Sims but that didn't work, and I don't have the money to buy the pack again. I just want to know what to do because I don't want to make things worse.Solved1.7KViews1like36CommentsSims 4 - Packs missing from EA app

Overview This guide is more up-to-date and covers several reasons DLC doesn't appear in-game, so please consult it first; you can post in this thread if you need further help. ⚙️[PC] [Mac] Sims 4 Missing Content (DLC) | EA Forums - 12636720 jump to: I have the CAS Demo installed jump to: I don't have the Demo or I'm not sure whether I do jump to: I have a Steam or Epic install jump to: I'm lost/please help Before doing anything else, please clear the EA App's cache, repair the game (Sims 4 > Manage > Repair), and restart your computer, then see whether your packs load. Sometimes the fix is really that simple. There is currently an issue with Sims 4 where newly installed packs won't load in-game. The cause is that the EA App installs these packs into the wrong folder. The App shows the affected packs as installed, but the game doesn't read their data. The most common cause is having the Sims 4 CAS Demo installed, but this can also happen if a computer somehow has two copies of Sims 4 itself installed. In both cases, the game is running from one folder but the pack data is in the other. The fix is to find the folder where the packs are being installed, remove or rename this folder, clear the EA App's cache, and download the missing packs again. I have the CAS Demo installed If you have the CAS Demo installed, it will likely be here: Look inside the folder for your missing packs, for example in this case, EP13 (Growing Together) and SP16 (Tiny Living) are installed into this folder: The quick fix, which works at least some of the time, is to move these folders into the folder for the Sims 4's program files. You can find the proper file location within the EA App: open your library, click the Sims 4 icon, select Manage > View properties, and you'll see the file path. The pack folders, in this case EP13 and SP16 , need to go inside this Sims 4 folder; you can simply drag and drop them, or cut and paste. Once you've moved the folders, clear the EA App's cache and repair the game: open your game library, click the Sims 4 icon, and select Manage > Repair. Then load the game and see whether the affected packs load. If this doesn't help, you can rename the CAS Demo folder; any new name or additional characters should suffice. Or, if you have no use for the CAS Demo anymore, you can simply uninstall it through the Windows control panel or Start menu. If you get an error when trying to uninstall the Demo, restart your computer. Alternately, open the Task Manager, find the EABackgroundService in the background processes list, right-click its name, and select End Task, then try again. If you've already moved the packs' folders to the proper Sims 4 folder and it didn't work, it's best to delete these, clear the EA App's cache, and download fresh copies. You can download them through Manage > Manage Add-ons. ↑ I don't have the CAS Demo/I'm not sure If you don't have the CAS Demo installed, or you're not sure whether you do, you can run a search for the missing pack(s). Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, then enter the name of the folder for an affected pack in the search field in the upper-right corner. (See this article for a full list of pack folder names.) For example, if Growing Together isn't loading in-game, search for EP13: You can see here that the folder is inside the CAS Demo folder, but you may also find that you have two "The Sims 4" folders for other reasons; these guidelines apply in any case. You'll also see a folder inside __Installer\DLC, usually a folder inside Delta, and perhaps other files if the pack includes a new world. These can be ignored; the only result that matters is the one directly inside a folder with "Sims 4" in the name, as underlined in red. In contrast, this is the result when searching for a properly-installed pack, in this case EP05 (Seasons): Once you locate the folders for the missing packs, you can try moving them to the proper location, i.e. the location the EA App lists for the game's program files. Clear the EA App's cache and repair the game afterwards. You can find it by opening your game library, clicking the Sims 4 icon, and selecting Manage > View properties: If this doesn't fix the issue, you can rename or uninstall the CAS Demo, if you have it, or delete the secondary folder. (If you get an error, restart your computer, or open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundService.) If this doesn't help either, you may need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of all Sims 4 content, minus your user folder, as well as the EA App. ↑ I have a Steam or Epic install If you've installed Sims 4 through Steam or Epic, but you at some point installed the game through the EA App, the App may be installing packs into an old Sims 4 folder rather than the one that Steam or Epic uses. Here again, the first step is to search for one of your missing packs. Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, then enter the name of the folder for an affected pack in the search field in the upper-right corner. (See this article for a full list of pack folder names.) For example, if Growing Together isn't loading in-game, search for EP13: The only thing that matters here is the EP13 folder installed directly inside "The Sims 4": this is the pack itself, and it needs to be in the same location as the rest of the game data. You can see that above, however, EP13 itself is installed into an EA Games folder, even though other folders labeled EP13 are inside Delta and __Installer within the Steam install's folder. The fix here is to delete the "The Sims 4" folder inside C:\Program Files\EA Games, or wherever that extra folder is. (If you can't delete it, restart your computer, and make sure the EA App and EABackgroundService are NOT running in the Task Manager.) Then clear the EA App's cache, restart your computer, and install only the affected packs, not the base game, through the EA App. If this doesn't help, you'll need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Sims 4 and the EA App. Please see here for more details. ↑ I'm lost/please help If the above doesn't help, please see the accepted solution of this thread, which should appear immediately below this post. You can also run a search for one or two missing packs, as described above, and post screenshots of the results in this thread. If you do this, be sure to list the packs that aren't working and those, if any, that do show up in-game. ↑Solved95KViews20likes1338CommentsDLC wont download and wont allow me to download it manually.
I bought the enchanted by nature DLC and activated it on my EA account but it wont download. I've gone in through the manage add on tab and it doesnt give me the option to download it manually. When i launch the game it shows the DLC is owned but not downloaded. Ive cleared the cache, uninstalled and re-installed the game. Nothing has worked and the AI "support" is a joke. My game is consistently going back to an old in game date from when I saved it last. I started the game up to play in which it showed Saturday (in game). After playing through, I saved my game on a Tues (in game) and when I return to play my game the next day my sims are back on that same Saturday I started on. All progress is gone as if I never played it from my last saved game. I then checked to see if it happens just in game and it does. If I go from one playable sims household to another it reverts back to that same Saturday (in game). Anyone know what would cause this?40Views2likes3Comments[CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Problem With Your Game's Setup
Overview There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game. This error has multiple known causes and, at the time of this writing, at least one unknown cause. So if you're not covered by the known triggers, some troubleshooting is in order. jump to: Windows 7 jump to: Windows 10 or 11 N jump to: Other Windows 7 If your computer runs Windows 7, you probably need to run Sims 4 in DirectX 9 mode. The game now defaults to DirectX 11 mode on most systems, but you can force DX9 mode in the EA App or Steam. For an EA App install, open the App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, add -dx9 to the Advanced launch options box, and click Save. For a Steam install, open Steam, right-click Sims 4, select Properties > General, and add -dx9 to the Launch Options box. Windows 10 or 11 N The versions of Windows with N in their names are stripped-down installs, missing some resources that Sims 4 needs in order to run. To find out if this applies to you, click Windows key-R and enter dxdiag in the run box in the lower-left corner of the screen. The dxdiag window will list your version of Windows: If you see N in the name, please install the Media Feature Pack provided by Microsoft. Information and instructions are here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/media-feature-pack-for-windows-n-8622b390-4ce6-43c9-9b42-549e5328e407 Other So far, there have been a few reports of this issue without a definitive cause and where the above categories don't apply. If you're affected, please first confirm that you're running Windows 10 or 11 and not an N version, as described above. The first suggestion I have is to uninstall and reinstall the VC++ runtimes Sims 4 uses. Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall all versions from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the others. You can get new versions here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 You only need the 2022 x86 and x64 versions, not the older ones and not the ARM version. The 2022 runtimes replace everything from 2015 on, although the older runtimes are standalone. Restart after installing the runtimes and before trying to play. If you're using ReShade or GShade, please remove the associated files and repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair OR Steam > Sims 4 > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files). If that doesn't help, close the EA App and kill the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager's background processes list. Delete the Bin folder in [install location]\The Sims 4\Game, then repair as described above. This will redownload the default, unaltered files in Bin, without anything extra. It's possible that the installation of Sims 4 is in fact corrupt or missing some critical files. So you can also try doing a clean uninstall and reinstall, as described here: [PC] How to Clean-uninstall Sims 4 I will add any other known fixes or workarounds here as I find or hear about them. In the interim, if you're affected and nothing in this guide helps, please reply to this thread and provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons. ↑5.3KViews2likes202CommentsGallery Is Stuck Loading and the UI Is Broken
Every time I open the Gallery in The Sims 4, it doesn't load correctly. The text is all over the place, the filter options are overlapping each other, and the Gallery stays on the loading screen forever. I never see any creations because it just keeps spinning. I've already tried repairing the game, removing all of my mods and custom content, deleting the localthumbcache.package file, clearing the EA App cache, restarting my computer, and checking my internet connection. None of those fixed the problem. This happens every time I open the Gallery, so I'm unable to use it at all. I would appreciate any help with fixing this problem.Imtiiii03 days agoRising Newcomer167Views1like3CommentsMissing sims extension

I'm pretty sure its my save. I've tried it with mods removed, I've repaired the game, I deleted cashes, I've restored saves, the whole 9 yards (I think), and I can't get the lots to load - the Gibbi map comes up but nothing is there to click on other than the neighborhood info buttons. However if I click New Game and make a new sim, its there. I am actually able to actually go to the Gibbi lots on the messed up save if I create a hang out, but I can't access the lots from the World Menus so I can't play the households that own the lot. My question is really, is there ANY WAY to fix this save? I have so many custom lots and households and everything and spent so much time on this save moving it all to a new one would...take a soul crushingly long time. Additionally, I have a beloved lot in Gibbi in this save and I really don't want to lose it. If anything can be done, please let me know!JanglyBells5 days agoSeasoned Newcomer37Views2likes1CommentUnable to play Sims 4 at all after 2026 update
