Unable to Play Saved Game With and Without Mods
I have tried everything. After the recent update my game will not open my current household, it will only open the load worlds page. At first, I thought it was my mods, so I tested every single one. It was not an issue with my mods. Even if I take all of my mods out of the game, I still cannot open my household. So, I looked to see if the Sims team solved this issue and, in this post, (that I also commented on) When Loading Household Game Returns to Neighborhood Select Screen I decided to see what they recommended since, apparently it isn't a game issue. So, I clicked onto this link Solution where it gave me many different ways to solve this issue. As stated, I already knew it wasn't a broken mod because I tested the game with and without mods. Then as recommended I decided to rename my Sims 4 folder "Old" so a new folder would populate creating essentially a blank slate. I did this. It worked; I could open this new game exit out of Sims then reopen back into this household. So, then I went on to the next step of moving my Save file in the "Old" folder into the fresh one. This is where I found that I could not open the household like it had been doing before. I didn't have any mods in my game and cleared out my localthumbcashe.package and of course repaired my game via EA app. I was given this code: 110:bleeeb7:b90b4979 but I am completely lost how to fix this issue. Now, this would not be a big issue if I didn't have my legacy save game. I have worked so hard on this file and would hate for it to be gone completely for an update that occurred recently especially because I have never had an issue with my mods nor my household since this update in prior ones.Sims 4 PC fishing with a buddy
Hi I'm trying to complete the Critter Hunter aspiration that came with the new expansion released yesterday and I am having a problem with completing the Go Fishing With A Buddy. It seems pretty easy just join someone fishing or invite someone to fish. I tried it all and it won't complete. I have no mods, restarted the game, tried in different locations, tried with a sim that was already a friend and one that my sim has not yet met. The option is there but it won't fill. Anyone know how to complete this without cheating? Thanks!!
How do I turn off the screen comments?
Someone told me before how to disable the mouse/keyboard comments that pop up on your screen when you are playing the game. And I had it disabled. Then when the new pack uploaded it is back. I don't need to have comments on my screen telling me how to use my mouse or keyboard. Thank you very much. I know it is something you have to uncheck under Game Options but it slipped my mind.
Toddlers food ends up on floor
After the Adventure Awaits expansion pack was installed, toddlers food ends up on the floor while eating from the highchair. The toddler doesn't have to push their food off the little table of the chair. Totally annoying. Someone please fix this. Version 1.118.257.1020 DX11.
lost families and reverting lots
I can not find my family that was living here. this lot reverted to a vacation rental and it says I cant change it back because it's own. Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't own vacation rentals. I cant find how to sell it to change it back nor do I know where my family is off too. This happens a lot It would be cool if you could own lots but that the family is missing is traumatizing. this happens with other lots too. Game is in infinite ways broken. I spend all my times trying to fix in in very long loading screens and barely playing. For how no complex the game is, it really ought to work.
Sim stuck in "work normally" mode; but at home and unemployed
My sim for several in-game days has been stuck in "work normally" when I hover over her tab in the bottom left. I've made several attempts to fix the issue, but nothing has worked. I have: Removed and disabled mods in my game (Was only using UI Cheats and MC Command Center prior) Sold my Sim's small business so they are no longer "employed" Travelled from home lot , travelled back Taken my Sim's family to a vacation lot Reset Sim Restarted game I saw a post online from about 7 years ago saying there should be a "Leave Work Early" option when I click on my Sim, this interaction is not available when I click on her. Because she's been stuck in work mode, she has the burned out moodlet, which cannot decrease enough to go away. It is almost constantly increasing unless she is doing an activity that decreases it, like sleeping. My game has all DLC except a few kits, I've only been playing this specific save for about 2 days. I tried to see if this bug has been reported before, but could not find a recent occurrence of this issue. I play through EA App on a Mac.
Outfits messing up in Adventure Awaits getaway
I am having an issue where my sims outfits are random or not working on a getaway - e.g. if I select to go into swimwear, it will be one of their everyday outfits instead. Or if my sim goes to bed, instead of switching into sleepwear it will put them in active wear. In the outfit selection it still shows that they are in the right outfit, however that outfit preview is now changed to a duplicate of a different outfit. It doesn't show any issues when I go into CAS. I have no script or gameplay mods only CC. It's super annoying as I really like the CAS and outfits I selected and want to use them during the getaways. Any help appreciated.
Just a question on tin-foil hat in Strangerville
I have a question for Strangerville, I have a sim that is in the military and she went to The Curio/Conspiracy Shop, has anyone actually got a tin-foil hat for their sim and have them actually wear it on their head? Because when my sim's got it..it doesn't show her wearing it. Why? Just curious.
Jealousy - causing anger for no reason
Sims 4 - I am seeing this again and again so I am reporting. My Sims - male and female - are reacting with anger from seeing their spouse flirt with someone - but it has not happened. I could not have happened. So the angry spouse is in a bad mood for no reason.
Lots are not being placed
Please Help, I am having issues with placing lots from the gallery. Launched Sims 4 after most recent patch (October 2025). Attempted to place lots from Gallery or My Library in any world. Tried multiple lot sizes and funds available. Game freezes or refuses to place the lot. - (no pop up occurs when lots refuse to be placed) Gallery loads normally, but when attempting to place any lot (player-made), the game hangs or does nothing. This happens on new saves and in every world, even with sufficient simoleons and correct lot sizes. What I have done All mods/cc have been removed Tray files have been removed Cache was cleared I have repaired the game (x3) Restarted computer. Created new saves. Used sims.reset_all and households.autonomy_reset. Removed reticulatedSplinesView folder. Still unable to place any lot.Sim's inventory disappears every time I leave the lot
Before I begin to say anything about this, I have researched what is happening, and many people I have seen are having similar issues. It is NOT a CC related bug, which EA support tends to blame their own issues on. My Sims' inventory deletes itself every time I load into a game, leave the lot, or interact with anything other than that specific item. For example, my sim has written many books, none of which I was able to publish because they disappear as soon as I'm done writing. Another example, my teenager's homework books disappear every time I leave the book in his inventory. Yet another example, the leftovers in the fridge disappear every time my sim leaves the lot, even though I know I made enough for multiple days.
Sims on getaways won’t change to/from hot/cold weather clothing
Hello, I made new custom lots using the new Adventure Awaits pack and I’ve noticed that sims sometimes won’t change to (or from) their hot/cold weather outfits and die. So far one sim died outside the resort in their daily clothes and one sim died from overheating due to wearing cold weather clothes in a heated room. I’ve had this issue before as well but now it seems more extreme. Platfom: PC mods: none
