Not sure if this is a me issue
I just barely downloaded the game(just finding out it was free on my laptop) and I'm not sure if this is a me issue or what, but when I first created my first sim it wasn't allowing me to make my own name other than pick pronouns. For names it only lets me randomize names even though it's showing I can type out a name for my sim.
Scenario Parenting Predicaments
I recently started the scenario along with High School years. When Leonardo and Sofia aged up to teen, she was able to graduate early but Leonardo who studied everyday, got all A with the notification of valedictorian, hasn't been able to graduate early or even got the notification of the graduation ceremony like I have attended in the past. I don't use CC, mods or cheats.
Specific directions to the Library in Verdemar
Hi. I had my Sim explore Verdemar very recently. There is a lot called hardcover, I believe, that is a library by day and something more at night. This was suggested as the best place to hold a Royal press conference. (It comes with the royal podium.) If someone knows exactly how to get there, I would be very grateful. My poor young regal Sim has to hold yet another royal presser and this will be his third ---- mind you, his scandal is considered a minor one. (I would really hate to see what happens were any of my Sims to manage to commit a more serious scandal.) 😮 😮 🙃 Please, and thank you, in advance. ~GalacticGal
Player Trait Overruled by New Game Mechanics
Multiple messages like the one below are popping up: "Sim X saw Sim Y break her romantic boundaries and is thinking of breaking up." The problem is, Sim Y has the 'Player' attribute from completing the serial romantic aspiration: Players will never cause other Sims to get jealous, no matter what they do. On February 25th, 2026 the player attribute was working fine. But when I started the game today, March, 11th, 2026. The issue started. It is probably related to the "Caught in a Scandal!", unfair affair event. Since it happened right before the messages I mentioned started popping up. Apparently "Caught in a Scandal!" event is not fine tuned to deal with the "Player" trait.
Sims 4 a lot of bugs
- My sims keep getting stuck I am doing a 100 baby challenge (no mods or CC) and I have 8 person household sims keep getting stuck and I need to refresh them every 5 seconds they do not perform tasks. - When giving birth to the hospital the needs get maxed out but as soon as returning back to household they become really low. - Objects keep disappearing. - Game freezes upon opening for a while. I get a dark screen and I have to change tabs in order to get unstuck. My laptop is new and a gaming laptop that runs much heavier games smoothly so that's not an issue.
Black widow challenge achievement reset
I started the Black Widow Challenge not too long ago. I figured I could do the challenge and complete the achievement but for some reason the game keeps resetting my count on the achievement. I have 5 dead spouses. All have died by "natural" means (2 to a meteor, 2 to cowplants and one to overexertion). At the last log in prior to tonight's, my achievement progress was at 4/5. But when I logged in tonight to play, husband number 6 died and I didn't get the achievement, so I checked and it says 0/5. Anyone else ever experience this issue? [CM edit - descriptive title]
Custom Content Creations
My custom Content families I created are all gone in my gallery even the homes I was going to revamp are gone. I need help as to getting them back please and thank you. I truly don't want to start over as a whole new game and create sims all over again. I don't mind adding but creating a whole community of sims household for it to be gone is a lot of work even some families that wasn't mine they were relatives are gone.
remove from family
So I have a bug. When I press shift and left click on random sims there is option called add to family. It's a normall sim none mods have been use to it. When I press shift and left click on sim I am missing the option called remove from family. And for some reason when I press shift and left click and when I press c to take a screenshot it dosen't shows all the options that shows up after when I click shift and left click on the mouseHow to move a sim to a different household?
Hello! I am not a smart man. I made a household with one Sim that was supposed to be a lone adult, but I decided to make him a family and put them across town in Willow's Creek. He has a mother and a brother and I have no idea how to fix family relationships to make him related to them, so they're just two separate households. I also want to know how to transfer the brother over to my main household, or if it is possible, is it possible to shift between two households and move his brother back and forth. Is it also somehow possible to control a random sim from a different household, cause I want them to level up with the same skill and go on adventures together and then drop him off at his mother's house, cause both of them are unemployed losers and the joke is that the brother is older than my main sim and neither of them will ever accomplish anything, but I don't want the brother to stay in the main household cause he's a background character in his story. I wanna pick him up and drop him off in another household after every adventure to places like the Jungle Adventure pack. CC is acceptable as an answer too! About a week ago my save file corrupted (lots surrounding revert back to EA originals + infinite loading screens). I had plenty of back up saves (technically the same save, just earlier versions), but even after removing cc, clearing cache, removing localthumcache, repairing my game and creating a new sims folder, all earlier saves were also retroactively corrupted, which I know were not corrupted before. This came completely out of the blue, one moment I was playing the next it corrupted. I wasn't updating the game or adding any cc/mods. I decided to cut my losses and decided to move over my lots and households to a brand new save, admittedly almost every lot. However I got up to about the last four worlds and noticed that it began to corrupt again. I could revert to an earlier save and it would be fine, but the minute I tried to place a new lot it would corrupt again. It doesn't matter what lot I place, or which world it just corrupts from there, like it hits a certain amount of lots and then it is done, but it is not exact. I am looking for a solution to this so I can continue to place the rest of my lots :)
Kids keep getting taken away
Hey! This issue has been occurring for a while now I took a long break because of how frustrating it's been. My sim kids in the game keep getting whisked away for no reason. This is happening to ALL sims in my game for some reason. Evry single time I load my game if there's a child or multiple children in that family they get whisked away one by one. Then I go to a different sim family and the same thing happens. Please someone help.outdoor enthusiast aspiration unidentified plants
In the outdoor enthusiast aspirations wilderness explorer milestone identify all unidentified plants remain incomplete. I have identified all of them and have them all in my inventory but it remains 8/10. here’s the list: 1- chamomile 2- toxic chamomile 3- fireleaf 4- poison fireleaf 5- morel mushroom 6- false morel mushroom 7- huckleberry 8- muckleberry 9- elderberry 10- noxious elderberry and i have all of them. please help me solve this problem. (a cheat will also work!)
Quick question about pufferfish
hey has anyone experience or know if its possible for a sim to make pufferfish nigiri autonomously? And to note, i know they have to eat the recipe first to even to be able to make it - but after that - is this a meal they could make at random without being instructed to? Curious for my gameplay. I wasn't sure if only specific meals are cooked autonomously or any meal could be. Thanks!Secret Lover issue-Bug or intended?
My sim is getting around town to stir the pot, and im unsure if its intended but when he has a secret lover, over time [or in my latest case almost immediately after] ill get the notification that my sim and secret lover sim are official partners...without the 'go steady' or 'go official' from the secret lover stage, which i think is why the secret children never seem to be secret since by that point the game reads them as being in a relationship, regardless if the secret lover is married or not. Just a bit confused if that is intended or possibly a bug, or if the secret child thing is different from the dads perspective since I'm playing him atm. If it is intended; 1. Does the perspective effect the mechanic? 2. Is there a cap to Secret Lover sims? 3. is there anyway to 'back track' the 'exclusivity' and back to secret lover stage? Some info; the first 3? ish sims that were secret lovers, all became 'official partners' from the notification [similar to the first kiss notification] that 'X sim and X sim are now partners' at the exact same time when loading into my save without those sims being on lot So i dont think it was autonomously chosen to become official especially with 2 'secret' lovers at the exact same time. I did notice that the 'memory' or connection thing on their profiles [where it could say things like 'deeply connected' etc] still had the 'Secret Lover' memory/relationship thing on the sims profile. I'll try to give more info if anyone can confirm they have faced similar issues, Thanks for reading!! 🙂Sims 4 Gallery won't load.
I've been having this problem for a while where I go to play the sims, and I load into the gallery and it freezes. I stopped playing after this happened last year, and just recently I wanted to check back in on it. Tried to play it again and it crashed like usual. I used mods and updated them. I've done a bunch of checks this past few days on fixes, like 50/50, removing all my mods and running it vanilla, repairing my files, creating a new file, checking any antivirus software, updating drivers, I even went as far as to delete my save and start a brand new one. However none of it has really worked. Eventually I got it working last night, playing with mods that I checked every few downloads. I created my sims and then got off for the day. Today when I got home from work, I checked back in and the gallery froze again. No warning, no "the game has crashed unexpectedly", just a endless white screen and a frozen sims game.
