Issue with Makeup Selection Highlight in “Create a Sim”
Dear The Sims 4 Support Team, First of all, thank you for continuously providing an amazing gaming experience. I recently noticed an issue in the “Create a Sim” mode where the selected makeup items are no longer highlighted with a green outline. This feature still works correctly for clothing and accessories, but it does not appear to function for makeup items. I have tried restarting the game and other troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. I wanted to bring this to your attention in case it is a bug. If this is indeed an unintended issue, I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider addressing it in a future update. Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response. Game not functional
Hello, I've never posted on the forum before but I'm hoping I'll get an answer. My game updated, I updated it yesterday, but now it is no longer functional. I opened it and on the main menu page it gave me the notification that my mods/cc had been turned off for the update. No big deal (aside from the fact one of my Sims on the preview is bald and shirtless). I turned them back on and loaded my game, but it was totally dysfunctional. I can't open cas without it sitting on the load screen and having to force quit the app, when I open bb the menus are a total mess, I can't open other households (when I click on them, the play option doesn't show up, but when I click empty households they still show the option to edit or make a family). Worst of all, my sim is still bald when I go back to the main menu. Also, as far as I was aware, the burglar update was supposed to be base game and I didn't need the new expansion for it, but the burglar setting isn't in my settings, and my pack settings aren't there. This has never happened with an update before and I haven't seen anyone else dealing with these issues. All the possible solutions I've found are for older versions of the game, or were made for if I still had Origin (which I obviously don't). This was a lot so if you've read this, thank you, any help is appreciated. I have over 800 hours in this game, but I'm not super tech savvy so I don't want to uninstall or push buttons and lose my progress or anything.game crashes after a couple minutes no matter what
My game keeps crashing only a few minutes after opening and playing each time; I attached the last crash report I got. I have a mod that detects broken mods, which I've used and removed anything that I thought could be the problem and still nothing. If anyone knows how to read these that would be greatly appreciated as I'm not about to take all my mods out to see if the game still crashes, as I would then have an empty house/no clothes on my Sims. I just have no idea what the problem is. Looking this up: Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) told me that it was like bad memory access or something. I don't really know what that means though or what to do about it ☹️
Sims 4 Not functioning on mac
i recently downloaded mods on my macbook, i put the mod files into the mods folder and checked the right boxes in settings but once my game updated any files i added or deleted didn’t change what was showing in my game, so if i added anything new it never registered and essentially didn’t work and the same if i tried to remove anything. i have since cleared the mods folder and tried to go back to my game as normal but now it won’t even start up, tried looking for my electronic arts folder and all i can see is the sims icon and nothing else, no mods folder etc. I have also tried deleting and re-installing both the sims game and the ea app, nothing works at all no folder anywhere, No one drive enabled, and whilst trying to figure out mods before, i disabled icloud storage too, so it should be on my laptop somewhere, can someone help this is the most annoying thing ever not even an exaggeration lol
The buildings on my lots won't load.
I do not play with mods or CC. My Mac and Sims4 have also been updated. However, since the new Sims update, none of the buildings on my lots will load. It is like this in every save and new game. The world lots and the residential lots are all empty, but the map shows that there is a building there. I can't play the game right now. Hopefully, this can be fixed before the new expansion pack. I restarted the EA app and repaired the game, but nothing changed. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do next, other than wait for a new update? Thank you in advance!

Hello, I have a problem with my custom content (CC) in The Sims 4. Mods work fine, but CC does not show up in the game. I have already tried the following solutions: Enabled mods and CC in the game settings. Placed CC files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Checked that the files are in .package format. Deleted localthumbcache.package and cleared cache files. Tested with only one CC file in the Mods folder. Verified that my game is up to date. Reinstalled the game completely. Despite trying all these steps, the CC still does not appear in the game. How can I fix this issue?

Recovering 'My Library' Households
Hello Simmers, I borrowed my laptop to a friend over the weekend, when it returned she had ''accidentally" deleted the Sims 4 folder on my computer, thus uninstalling it from Origin also .. I lost 537.5 hours of game time and safe to say I (not even dramatically) cried :( I've reinstalled all 39 games & the only option it is allowing is to start a new game. If there's anyone who knows a magic solution I would be so grateful!!
Sims 4 graphics keep glitching
First there are tiny graphic glitches like small white spots in the background. Then graphics go completely out of whack like this. Sims get frozen or move weirdly then vanish with the different menus. Then I can't click anything. I can't use keyboard commands to pull up anything. Then the screen goes black. And the only way to close the game is to force quit using the activity monitor. This keeps happening since the update before the most recent one. I tried the instructions on how to fix these kind of graphic issues from a different thread (with the options.ini file), multiple times but to no avail. It kind of working until the Sims 4 updated again to add the burglar, then the graphic issues came back.save not loading
Every time I open Sims 4 and enter the main menu and go to resume games, the loading screen apears and it never finishes. I've repaired so many times, like more than 6 times, restarted my computer, emptied my mods folder, updated the game, and it still doesn't work. What should I do? please helpGame won't open
This has been going on for at least a few weeks now but anytime I try to open the game through the EA app, nothing happens. I get the little icon that shows up at the bottom on the screen saying it's running, but there's nothing actually happening. I've tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating my computer, restarting it a few times, and nothing seems to work. I've tried launching the game and letting it sit for a while in hopes it would launch eventually and it doesn't. Running out of ideas and need suggestions..Game crashes and quits to EA app after 10 minutes of gameplay.
I have had this issue since the new update released yesterday. I have a Macbook M2, 2022 with the most recent Sequioa 15.3.1 update. Whenever I play the game, everything loads absolutely fine and then after about 10 minutes of gameplay, the game just quits with no warning and takes me back to the EA app. I have checked the recent crash report and it says it is an issue with 'Metal'. I have lowered my graphics, repaired the game and this keeps happening. Can anyone advise me, thanks!
sims cant travel
trying to catch up on the rewards quest and travel to the library but every time i travel the game freezes. this was happening before the newest update too but i held out on trying to fix it until now as i hoped it was a game issue that would be fixed with the update. ive removed my mods folder from the game entirely, have them all turned off, started a new save, everything i can think of really. when i go to travel i get to the loading screen and the plumbob disappears. no choice but to force quit the game. any ideas on anything else i can do to fix would be great :)ALL Mods are being flagged as corrupted. Help please!!!
Hi everyone, I recently got a MacBook and I went to download sims, which it downloaded and everything is good. I put my mods into my mod folder and went to open the game but it popped up that a file was corrupted, so I went and deleted the mod and tried to open my game again. Same thing happened, I deleted the "corrupted mod" and tried again. The same thing happened to me about 6 times, so I just decided to move all of the mods out of my mod folder and started up the game. I started up perfectly. I, then only placed one mod, that I knew was updated and shouldn't be corrupted into my game and boom, it pops up that the mod is corrupted again. How do I fix this problem, I've deleted the ea app and downloaded it again. I've deleted everything connected to the ea app and downloaded it again, and the same thing happens. I am not transferring any data from an old computer, I am not using an external hard drive. I am simply downloading mods straight from their owners and putting them into my mod folder. I am unzipping everything beforehand, I am doing everything like how I usually do and it's not working. I don't know if I have to do something differently because I am on a MacBook, but please help me so I can play Sims.Help
I play the Sims 4 on a Mac and absolutely love it. For the past couple of days I haven’t been able to play. I launch it and it goes Straight back to the EA app. I gave it full disk access EA and the Sims 4 but nothing will work. I’ve gotten rid of all of my broken Custom Content and Mods. What should I do?
My graphics in tab mode are terrible
I have my graphics settings to ultra but my graphics in tab mode are absolutely awful. It looks like I have them on the lowest setting. It looks fine in game it is just in tab mode that they are bad. The camera has also been acting very weird which causes things to disappear when I am a get closer them. I’m just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this because it is really annoying when I’m trying to take screenshots in game. Also I don’t use any graphics mods or reshade or anything. I play on Mac and I don’t have many mods installed, all of which are up to date. This has been happening since before the update. So I don’t think it’s related to that.
