my game updated and now textures wont load
so i updated my game, and i have NO MODS i only have the expansion packs and stuff packs and stuff like that, but now my packs wont load, i bought my packs off steam and the EA shop, when i loaded in after updateing my steam packs were not downloaded at all so i had to re-download them all, then when i finally thought i could play all my textures and save files were courrupted, showing the missing texture thing, and all my female sims are red and white and no textures load on them, please please please help me. idk what to do, i have no mods and ive never downloaded a mod in my life and i just dont know how to fix this, i dont even know if i have a backup folder. please please please help. and also many times on steam it says the game file was locked when i was updating, idk if thats on your side or steams but i just need help. PLEASE.SMALL BUSINESS IN APARTMENT
Hello! I currently have my sim in an apartment, and i created a business lot for her in the apartment next to hers. Is there anyway to purchase that lot as her business? you can not visit it like normal or change the lot type on it. I already built both apartments very nicely and do not want to have to move her into that lot for the business. thank you!Can someone help me?
So I tried downloading a couple of mods for my sims4 and I downloaded quite a bit but when i tried to load my game it failed. Then I moved all the mods to my desktop and tried to play the game that way but when I opened it the front page wasn’t my household it was some new one that i haven’t seen before. So I pressed load game and pressed on my household that i had saved but it was loading for a decade so I dropped that idea and reset the game now when I try to do the same it won’t even let me go to the game directly but i go to the pick world thingy and when I press on the house where my sims lived at it doesn’t say anything just create a new household to move in even tho i pressed play game for a household already.. CAN SOMEONE HELP???
Corrupted save
Hi, I'm unable to load any household in my save. When I try, game crashes. Other saves work perfectly fine. I have tried: -loading game without mods/cc -creating clean game folder -recovering save - every version didn't work -creating new family and moving them to empty lot - this new household is also not loading. Save loads to the map, I can open CAS (from family menu), I can build on lots. Everything else doesn't work. My game version is 1.119.109.1020. Thanks for the help, this save is really important for me as there is so much I have created
I can’t play my sims4
I load up my game fine I make my sims and save them fine but when I’m ready to get to playin for real like building them there house or whatever it takes me back to the loading screen like I didn’t just click on a world to play I deleted both ea and sims for a few months because I was havin this problem and I just got it back and I’m having the same problem I don’t know what to do I just really wanna play my game
If It's Not One Thing, It's Another . . .
Yesterday, finally, my game was behaving the way it should. My Cantrell family showed Joseph. Sr. and Louise being spouses, instead of cousins. Phew! And she was pregnant with little Adrian. So, can someone please tell me why, when I checked the dynasty tree, Adrian is a half-brother to his older siblings, and he's the son of Louise, yet NOT the son of Joseph. Say, what? Bad enough that when I connected Joseph to his father, King Aaron, I was unable to connect him to his mother. All I got was a blank page on MCCC where the link would be . . . And this is the newest MCCC, too. I'm thinking I should report it on Deaderpool's Discord. (Or maybe I'll just redownload it.) Do you ever think the Cosmos is against you? I'm beginning to wonder. At any rate, today I was ready to play, and things were going along pretty well. I did realize I had still to eliminate the 'other' Joseph, Sr.. I navigated over to Del Sol Valley to their residence and took care of the matter, toot sweet. After, I carefully had him make my Joseph his dynasty heir. (For once I did it before I removed the Sim in question.) It was after that where Erik seemed to freeze in place, complaining things were in the way when I tried to send him to the photoshoot. I reset him and he still complained. I transported him to just outside the gate, and he still decided it was more prudent to go upstairs for who knows what. I saved and shut down, fixed myself some breakfast and by the time I got back upstairs I removed all of the cache packages and restarted the game. (I know there are about four; cache; onlinesimcache; avatar?cache; and the localthumbcache.pachage.) Well, Erik seems okay, but his father, the head of the dynasty was still stuck just outside the fence. I sent him to grab a plate of turkey (it's Thanksgiving in my game) and I find him later, in a very bad state, still stuck outside. Oi! Just when I thought things were going well, too. I really don't wish to start yet again. But these problems make gameplay less than fun. Don't even mention relaxing, it's the exact opposite. Please advise.Can there be multiple highschools at once?
I've googled this plenty of times, but all discussions are years old, and I'm not sure if they're relevant anymore. People said there's no option to build a highschool on a different lot, however, I have the option, and I believe I can do so while Copperdale is running, but I'm unsure. Does anyone know? Has anyone tested it? If so, is there any way to choose which school a sim goes to?Host of Love Highland bringing children with them
I sent my sim to Love Highland Romantic Competition and upon arriving one of the hosts has their toddler and 2 infants with them! I would expect in this type of situation that children should not be brought along here. Is this a game bug that needs to be looked at?Households Disappeared From Main Save
I’ve managed to open the game with no problems at all but for some reason in one of my save (my main save I’ve been playing for two years now 💔) all of my households have completely dissapeared. My mods, builds and other saves are working completely fine but just all of these specific households are gone and I don’t have a backup anymore since it got corrupted and I didn’t manage to create a new one in time before this happened (cm edit - updated thread title for vis)
MISSING BLUEPRINT ISSUES
Missing blueprint I Cant place my lot because the blueprint is missing. which make no sense BEFORE U ASK (B4UA) No Mods. The only reason why I have to make this particular build a lot is because its a penthouse lot and the only two way to save the build was to make either a room or a Lot. I chose to make a lot because I have platforms and stairs and I wanted a easy way for downloaders to download the build. EA had ENOUGH time to update the game for this LUDICROUS EXPLOITATIVE Marketplace that NOBODY ASKED FOR. (Btw they could give console player CC for other games have done it, or with PC they could add a setting that when connect a controller to PC it changes the gaming format to gaming console format. No excuse)! Now I can't even place my build. FOR YEARS people have been asking for MAXIS to update gallery for apartment lots especially penthouses, having to find their own work arounds, for a thing that shouldn't of even been a problem in the beginning. I have posted about them updating apartments for the gallery numerous of times. Even when they asked people a questionnaire how to update the gallery numerous of people said apartments. I Don't even have a another version of this particular build that a balcony design or the paintings in this build.Residential lot says “No valid lots available” to open small business
I downloaded a venue from the gallery, placed it in Nordhaven, and my Sims in Del Sol purchased the venue to open a shop. Well the shop wouldn’t open (open signs would turn green but business would say it’s closed). So to resolve the issue, I changed the lot type to residential, moved the business owner sim in, and then tried to open the business. But now the business panel gives me an error that my business can be assigned to “0 of 0 lots” because “No valid lots available.” The game suggests I purchase another venue to open the business🤦🏼♀️ I’ve tried evicting and resetting the lot in build mode, as well as selling and re-creating the business, and nothing seems to work. I don’t have the For Rent pack, CC, or Mods, but is this lot now permanently corrupted because I switched it from a “venue” lot to “residential” and now the game won’t fully recognize the residential status for small business purposes? Is the team working on a fix? I see lots of people have had this issue and I don’t see any fixes that could save the functionality of the lot. Thank you for any help!
Corrupted lots solutions?
Hi! I recently started a new save file with my sim-self and friends, but when changing the lots I picked from the gallery, I have at least 1 or 2 lots that are corrupted... Where I can't access to it because of the infinite loading screen. I'm genuinely tired of this bug, it's not the first time I have it, because I love custom save with custom builds and family. I tried deleting the cache file, move the mods and tray files but nothing help, I need to either restart a new save/use the basic one, or find which lot is breaking my game but it take FOREVER. If anyone have a solution for it, I would be glad to hear it, it would really help for my future other saves too. Bye!
Alien Sim Suddenly Skinny
Hello, I've been playing with a different family and while doing so I met one of my sims, hanging around and being extremely skinny. So I changed household to that sim to see what was going on and after I entered CAS full mode and the sliders are greyed out, so I can't do anything about his disguise (he is an alien) He was quite musclar and I'd lik ehim to go back to that. I don't use mods not cc. Help? ToKi
Error técnico EA App al arrancar Sims 4 tras apagón (Mods/CC corruptos)
Hola, se ha producido un error técnico en la EA App que impide el arranque de Los Sims 4 después de que mi ordenador se apagara repentinamente en medio de una partida el día 20/03. He identificado que el problema está relacionado con la carpeta de Mods (especialmente Ropa y Pelos), pero el error persiste de forma intermitente. Pasos que ya he realizado sin éxito definitivo: Limpieza de carpeta Bin: Eliminé archivos de ReShade (dxgi, shaders) y archivos de volcado de memoria (.mdmp) generados por el crash. Reparación y Caché: He reparado el juego desde la EA App varias veces y limpiado la caché de la aplicación (App Recovery). Reset de Carpeta de Usuario: He borrado los archivos localthumbcache.package, Options.ini, UserData.lock y avatarcache.package. Pruebas de Mods: Al quitar el CC, el juego arranca. Al intentar el método 50/50, el juego a veces funciona y otras vuelve a dar el 'Error técnico' incluso con pocos archivos, lo que sugiere una corrupción profunda en la caché o en los permisos de lectura de la carpeta tras el apagado forzado. Comandos de inicio: He probado los argumentos -w, -f y -disable_mod_loading sin que solucionen el bloqueo cuando el CC está presente. El juego funciona sin mods, pero al reintroducir el CC (que antes del apagón funcionaba perfectamente y ha sido pasado por Sims 4 Studio Batch Fixes), la EA App se bloquea al instante. ¿Existe alguna forma de resetear el registro de la App o el motor del juego que no sea la reparación estándar?
How do I stop lessons from displaying on login?
I got Business and Hobbies and it keeps showing me lessons (I think that's what these pop ups are) when I log in. What they are about changes but they are all about B+H content: I have all tutorials and lessons disabled. How do I stop these messages when I start the game? No, removing mods doesn't help.
