The game crashes after undoing the construction of the stairway.
It’s happened twice since the last game update, after I accidentally removed a stairway by mistake (built a wall and the stairway was removed automatically). When I try to undo the action, the game crashes, and I can’t save, undo, or exit. I have to force end the game through the task manager.
memory boost option gone since months
hello, the memory boost option is gone from my settings since months, it used to work fine and one day it just disappeared i clean reinstalled my windows a couple of times including 3 weeks ago, so i doubt than any game files are corrupted because i had to reinstall every program and game anyways, for this reason i also rule out a mod issue dx11 is activated, it always activates by default, i never manually clicked the dx9 switch
Oasis Springs Map Not Loading- Stuck on Blank Screen
Oasis Springs opens to a blank white neighborhood screen, but the top-right menus still respond (gallery, manage households) I will attach a screenshot. The issue remains with all mods removed and cache deleted. The suspected issue is the Arid Ridge lot as I made it into a Residential Rental a while back and I developed a phantom unit with at least $4 million rent, could be even more I just remember a ton of numbers. But the problems began when I deleted several units on that lot, bulldozed/replaced the lots, and the save failed to complete properly. Save recoveries up to 8 days old show the same blank Oasis Springs map. However, I didn't face this until like Sunday/Monday. I will attach my LastException report as well. All other worlds load normally.
Game Not Loading Menu After Update May 2026
I took a couple months break from playing the game and when I came back, it was time for an update. So I downloaded the update, and now the game launches and shows the regular loading screen, then turns black with the in-game cursor and will not do anything else. I’ve cleared all the caches, repaired the game in the EA App, deleted all mods, even uninstalled and reinstalled just the base game and nothing has changed. I have almost 10,000 hours in this game, please help!Most recent Save file Deleted after most recent update
I've been playing this particular save file for months. Don't mind me, I'm crashing out a little bit because last night I played my save like any other night, and saw we had an update. So I hit update and went to bed. I woke up this morning to my save file, gone. I've been legit on the verge of tears all day because one little backup folder before last nights update would have fixed everything, but, I did not back it up. So now I'm just here begging for some sort of solution, if this has ever happened to anyone before, and if anyone can help me. It also happens to be the ONLY save deleted. All of the other old saves I don't play are still there. Don't know how to fix this or if I can, but ant advice would be helpful. 😢😢
Game crashing after 1.124 Update every 20(ish) mins
Hello there! I need some advice please if anyone can help. Ever since the 1.124 update released the game suddenly closes itself from anywhere between 3 to 20 minutes? maybe less? maybe a little more sometimes?, I do not have any mods or CC, just a bunch of expansion packs, but I can run the game on ultra graphics and it runs smoothly and loads fast. Here are my PC specs: Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700KF (3.60 GHz) Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable) Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (8 GB) Storage 1.08 TB of 2.73 TB used System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Please see attached crash logs: (if more are needed I have more)
Random Crashing
Hi, the last few days my Sims 4 game keeps crashing at random times. It started on the 13th where it crashed at 16:23, 16:57 and 17:09, on the 14th there were crashes at 11:47, 12:26, 13:15, 13:43 and 14:14 and today I've had crashes at 9:44, 9:54, 9:59, 10:23, 10:28 and 11:25. As you can see it's not letting me play for long. I had no problems with it before the 13th, I've tried without mods and still experience crashing. I've also tried repairing the game which hasn't helped. The game will load in fine but after playing for a short time it will just switch off. I bought 3 expansion packs on 12th but had no problems playing with them installed that day. Please help me sort this out, I've only recently started playing the Sims 4. I've attached a DxDiag.
sims will not load to main menu
posting in hopes of someone having a solution or someone experiencing the same issue in case this is an issue only for me. since the newest update, my sims cannot open to main menu at all. it is stuck on the loading screen and will not go to main menu (i've let it load for 30 minutes and it still won't get to the main menu). i've tried everything i can think of to fix this issue-remove mods and cc, repair all of the sims packs, repair the ea app, cleared cache, et cetera. however, nothing works! i don't know what else to do, i believe my game won't open due to the newest update because beforehand, i never encountered issues in the game loading. i'm tempted to just completely uninstall and then reinstall the game, but i'm so annoyed i don't even think that will work. any advice or is anyone going through something similar?
Sims won't connect to internet/go online
I've had this problem since the big update with marketplace that messed up all my cc and how my library would load (this has been fixed though). I've tried multiple things, changing wifi, restarting everything (laptop, ea, steam, sims), removing all mods, even waiting 20 minutes just for it to tell me it failed. It effects both the gallery and the marketplace. I'd like to be able to use at least the gallery (though marketplace would be nice too). Any tips? I'm open to anything as long as it doesn't crash my laptop lol.
Camera panning not working
So I keep trying to use camera panning woth WASD or arrow keys in the game. My settings are set to Sims 3 camera. But nothing works. I tried to toggle it on and off. The only way for me to move camera is by nearing the edge if the screen with edge scrolling. The keyboard keys do not work. I have checked that my keyboard works and functions. Moreover, I can search in the game for objects or type freely using WASD or even using the arrow keys to shift through the letters typed. Keyboard shortcuts also work fine. It is the camera panning that refuses to. I have tried all the fixes found on the net and they do not work. Even going into game files and adjusting/deleting etc as google search suggested. I did a clean re-install too after fully uninstalling. Still refuses to work. I am at my wits' end. I never had this issue of camera not being able to pan.The Sims 4 save doesn't appear in Resume but works in Load Game
Hello. I have an issue with The Sims 4. One of my save files does not appear in the "Resume" menu, but it does appear in "Load Game" and I can play it without any problems. I have already removed all mods, deleted the localthumbcache.package file, used "Save As", and restarted the game, but the issue remains. It only affects this specific save. This has been happening to me ever since they updated it last time. Could you please help me?Household Invisible on Main Menu?
I have tried troubleshooting this as many ways as I can think of. Since the June 30th update, my most recently plaid household does isn't showing up on the main menu. The file is playable, it's as if the family is just invisible? I'm not sure if this is some UI glitch or what. I have tried with mods, without mods, repairing my game, clearing the cache, trying different save files, creating new save files, trying save file backups etc. The only thing that has worked is if I load a game file through 'load game' rather than 'resume'. Even then, if I close my game, my most recently played family does not show up in the main menu. I'm at a loss of what could be causing this.
Help...I can't play
It's been a really long time (probably a year) since I've been able to play because the game will either crash before I even get to the main menu, or just start up on a white screen and load for eternity. Sometimes I will see the popup for "New from Makers", but when I click exit, the game freezes. I have restarted my computer, uninstalled/reinstalled the game, removed all mods, unlinked OneDrive, updated my drivers...I don't know what else to do. I have no idea how computers work, but I've attached a DxDiag here.
Sims 4 won't run properly
I had a PC that is above the required Sims 4 specs by a good shot, home built, sims 4 kept on crashing during game play. I do not use MODs and never have. I tried uninstalling EA, and all of the officially licenced packs I have, but ti did not help. The crash codes I put into Chat GBT and tried everything suggested. I took my whole PC to two repair shops incase it was a hardware issue, however the whole PC and each individual part worked well. They even wiped my windows and reinstalled everything but nothing has helped. I was so sick of it, I have now bought a brand new prebuilt PC, again well above minimum specs, and STILL SIMS 4 CRASHES DURING GAMEPLAY. I don't know what to do anymore, I can't get in touch with EA even though I'm sure it much just be a corruption within my account or purchased games.
