Game Crashing/Closing
After a failed update and repair then an successful update, the game would open followed by a moment of the screen freezing then the screen would go dark and open to my desktop. When I would open it again, the game would open without issue but the screen would show HDMI input at the top right corner. It would just repeat of freezing after two seconds then close. I repaired four times and same outcome. Updated drivers to see if that helped, cleared out the thumbnail cache and remove CC/Mods. I can't record due to the game crashing so quickly as my Xbox record software requires the game to be open and operational.
Game freezing at opening titles
Hi I've had a bug which has been under investigation for the last few months (caused by B&H), and its also causing my game to freeze on the opening titles. It's freezing on a green screen and I have to put my laptop into sleep mode to get it to do anything (ctrl+alt+del / alt+F4 does nothing), when the laptop wakes up the game is there waiting for me as if nothing has happened. It's more frustrating than anything and ive tried all the normal fixes: Repaired my game Took my game to Factory Settings Loaded with no mods Removed the corrupted save - and then all of them just in case Switched in-game overlay off in Origin And nothing is working... does anyone have any ideas?
Game freezes, crashes or both.
Hello there! I'm writing this as my last resort because I don't know what to do anymore. About two weeks ago, I upgraded from MAC to PC. I transferred my save file and all mod and cc I had been using to the new PC. The only new thing added to my game was gshade since I couldn't use it before. I have never been able to play my game in this PC. (GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5070 Ti). Every time I play the game, it crashes from 5 minutes to 20 minutes into the game. Crashes out of nowhere are rare, what usually happens is that my game freezes, I can't click anything but I hear sound effects like something is happening, even though I can't see it. If I click on the windows key and try to go to the game again, it either crashes or the screen turns completely white with sound effects in the background like before until it eventually crashes. I've tried updating every mod (even though in my MAC they still work fine), I uninstalled gshade, I took my mods folder out, created a new save, tried an older one, the game remains just the same. It runs for 20 minutes tops and it seems that mods or cc are not the issue since I tried to play in a clean save. I also tried repairing the game, and still it did not work. The same issue remains. I haven't had a PC in a good 5 years so I think I might be forgetting something system related. As of now, I made sure the HDMI cable is connected to my GPU, and I also selected the graphic's card on the graphic settings for the game to make sure it doesn't use my motherboard at all. I checked the drivers for my graphics card through the system and it says it's updated. My fangs also seem to be working well, and the RGB on my RAM is on so I'm assuming it's also working as intended atm. I have 32 GB of RAM. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. And if anyone else is having this problem or there's a suspicion that it's an EA thing and not a build thing, please also tell me. If I don't find any solutions I might just return the PC since the game it's working perfectly fine on my laptop/MAC. Is this a good call? Idk

So my game is like broken and won't open. I've tried to open it thru Steam and the EA app, but the same things happen. It starts to load, shows the Sims 4 title screen and starts loading the screen with tips/tricks. After that it just completely stops and closes itself. I've tried repairing the app, restarting my PC, deleting mods that i could remember we broken. Nothing is working and i haven't found any solutions online, can anyone please help 🥲
Where's My Snowy Escape Expansion?
Over a year ago I ordered the Snowy Escape expansion, which was on sale. To this day I have not been able to play the Snowy Escape because it's not installed. I get this message: World not installed. When this pack has finished downloading, restart The Sims 4 to install it. But I can't find the download and I have emailed EA many times, but nothing has changed.
CC Tray files not appearing in-game.
Hello! So I have been having this issue for months, basically if I download a house off the internet and place it in my tray folder correctly, it won't appear. But if I add a lot to my library via the gallery, it will appear. I have removed all my cc and repaired my game, and tested vanilla, and it still does not appear, and I want to fix this. Thank you! I will show pictures of my mods folder below and a screenshot of me ingame with Script mods and cc enabled, as well as in the gallery, and it still is not appearing.
Downloading expansion pack (Cats and Dogs)
hi there, I recently bought the cats and dogs expansion packs, but it hasn't been downloading the map nor the items. I've tried looking at multiple places to where I could look at my DLC packs and download it but I could not see where they are. I've tried Steam but it doesn't give me an option to download it, only repurchase. I've tried the EA website, nothing there but to manage it on steam. I have also tried the Sims 4 app, but again it only tells me that I have purchased it. Could anybody be willing to help me locate it so i could add cute animals to my gameplay? Hi there, for some reason, it’s not downloading the pack and I’ve tried searching everywhere to see if I could download it. On Steam, there’s no option for me to download it besides buying again. On the EA app, it says to handle the download on Steam, but again it doesn’t tell me?!?! On the Sims 4 application, it doesn’t say to download it or not, it just tells me that I’ve already bought it. Can someone help me? Please and thank you!
Game crashing after exiting CAS
Hello My game has been repaired through EA app, I have removed mods and updated all mods, I have tried this both with and without mods and the problem still occurs. My game loads fine, plays fine, but if I use CAS and then exit from CAS, the game crashes. How can I fix this?? Thanks
Sims 4 Furniture CC
A few days ago my sims game stopped loading into the game, so i moved my sims file to my desktop and opened a brand new file, i transferred everything back one by one and everything worked until i added my furniture folder, when this folder is in my mods folder the game refuses to open at all and, for me, this is infuriating because every house in my game is covered in furniture cc, it was working fine a few days ago but now it isn't! i'm not sure if there has been an update within the past 7 days where it could have conflicted with the furniture, any help would be appreciated as ive tried everything i can think of, thank you!sims 4 wont start with any mods
So my game works perfectly fine with out any mods, but as soon as I put literally 1 file, it doesn't work. I tried downloading a brand new cc and it still does not work. I recently had a problem with this, but somehow fixed it, didn't touch it, went to play and realised my mods just disappeared from my sims 4 folder? and now every time I try to add any, it does not work. WASD and arrow keys not working for navigation
Since the Update that i installed a few days ago, the WASD and Arrow keys wont work for the navigation of the camera. i have tried reparing the game, i have tried redownloading it, i have tried resetting the settings, but neither the sims 4 cam nor the sims 3 cam seem to work with WASD or the Arrow keys, even tho things like pressing T for Top-down-View and G for enableing or disabling the grid still work just fine. Navigation with mouse also works fine but especially in build mode its a hassle. I also dont have any mods installed. Does anyone have an idea? (I have recently purchased the Lovestruck bundle, the Kitchen clutter, sleek bathroom and country kitchen)Game crashes, fades to black then white screens with black lines.
Hi!! I'm autistic and very anxious with computers so this is all new to me, My issue started last night with the game in build mode after I downloaded a few new mods on curse forge, It was only a few clutter mods, kitchen things and a house, my file for sims mods isn't large, only 3.5GB max. When I'm playing, the screen will lag and fade to a black screen before going white, and when I drag my mouse, black lines appear where its dragged. I know its the sims because its not happening on any other game. I've re-installed all of the mods Curse forge had flagged, but some mods aren't shown on curse forge that I had downloaded on SFS or Patreon. Any advice for situations newer players don't know about would be great!! Any help that wont scare me would be amazing!!! I opened my game for the first time in a while and got this pop up message, telling me one build item has been removed because I don't own it? I have no idea what item it's referring to, or how I could suddenly not own something on the same account that I've been using for years Anyone know how to fix this?Sims 4 Crashes When Launched
Hey guys! I have an issue I've been trying to solve for 4 days now and could use some advice... I try to load up my Sims 4 game, and when I click it, it loads, but before it reaches the menu, it crashes and exits the game completely. I feel like I have tried everything that would show up on Google, I've talked to an advisor on the EA tech support, I've followed what others have shared on the Steam discussion threads, and more. What I have tried includes: Restarting and updating my laptop Uninstalling Sims 4, the EA app, and Steam. The reinstalling them one by one. Verifying the integrity of the files Moving files around and connecting my hard drive back up to my computer (it isn't connected to my computer) Updating every app I have Uninstalling any mods or DLC connected to Steam and Sims 4 (including the EA app) Repairing and restarting the EA app Updating my graphics card and changing it to other options Open the task manager and end the process of the EA background services and more... If you have any other support ideas or ways to fix this, or try to fix it, please let me know! If anyone else is having this issue, please let me know as well because I am really stressed out and would love to know if I am not the only one... Thank you...
OneDrive - Personal deleting Sims 4 files.
I've been playing on my windows 10 laptop for quite a while now, and have never run into this problem until now. It doesn't seem to be totally uncommon, but I'm still worried. The issue started a few days ago, where I'd be taken to my home screen while playing (not fully exited out from the game) and OneDrive would ask to confirm the deletion of 300+ files. I ended up clicked keep and went back to playing, hoping to ignore it and that it'll just go away. This morning the same thing happened, but it was literally asking about 1314 files. Pretty daunting for someone who doesn't know a thing about PCs, folders, or OneDrive. I've read different discussions and a reddit thread, and it seems to be an issue where save files are being synced up funny, but I'm not totally sure. It's all just "zoneObjects09b214c649d02f5f-..." Or a bunch of numbers and letters uploaded to online thumbnail cache. I also see mod logs, but it's mainly zone objects or lot thumbnail with a similar number and letter pattern uploaded to scratch_3936. How on Earth do I fix this??? I'm also momentarily pausing the syncing of my OneDrive for 24 hours. Please give me some guidance :') TY!
Items placed in a room "flicker" when placing/deleting windows and doors.
I don't think I've seen it reported yet but I believe that it started after the newest patch. I noticed while I was renovating a build that whenever I place/delete new windows and doors, all items placed inside a room in all levels would flicker/disappear for a split second along with the windows and doors around the rooms. Upon testing I noticed that it affects all windows and most doors (some doors are fine when placing them and some doors will make the items flicker). Windows/doors placed on a single wall are unaffected by the flickering but deleting them will still affect windows/doors + items placed in a room. I've uploaded an unlisted video of the brief tests that I recorded through the in-game screen recorder here: https://youtu.be/QjQkRtyTcEA The video has my mods loaded in but the same issue also happens when I tested it in a fresh sims 4 folder/new save/newly repaired game. edit: I also discovered that while not a window, "The AirCycler", wall decor object that looks like a wall exhaust fan from Greenhouse Haven kit also causes the flickering issue.
