Sims 4 Video Card Not recognized
Hi! I got a new computer with a newer graphics driver and sims 4 isn't recognizing the video driver (it says) I know there are ways to fix this I just couldn't find the fix for my specific graphics driver, a NVIDIA GEFORCE / RADEON 740, I am including the dxdiag box and the config from my sims game if anyone would be kind enough to help, thank you! If there is even a human left on the payroll to feel shame, which I doubt. I have most of the packs. OVER AND OVER AGAIN I have spent hours playing, building up characters only to have them mysteriously vanish from the map. They are in my gallery but supposedly can't be moved to the map. No fixes available online work at all. When I try to use the tech support from the menu it just takes me to an error page. I have tried every solution I can find and nothing works. What is the point of paying all that money for games that literally do not work? Spending hours on a scenario just to log in the next day and it's all gone? I'm done. It's not worth it. EA is a scam and all that money we have all paid for glitchy barely functioning content should be refunded. What an absolute joke. But they can spam my email constantly wanting me to buy more. The constant pop ups seem to function just fine. But emails to "tech support" go unanswered or are obviously canned useless copy paste from I guess a bot? Pathetic.
thousands of Sims 4 files automatically deleting from onedrive
Hi there. I'm having some strange issues with the sims 4 and onedrive -- I looked through a bunch of previous topics but none of them were specifically this issue. I keep getting notifications from onedrive that thousands of files are being deleted every day, which is alarming -- and when I look further, they are all sims 4 files. The vast majority of them are files called zoneObjects with some numbers and the ending .sav -- are these save files? Does anyone know why they are automatically deleting themselves? I'd like onedrive to keep backing up my documents as I have more than sims on my computer, so I was wondering if there's a solution beyond stopping backup. Even that wouldn't explain the deleting. I have the sims 4 downloaded on an external hard drive, while most of the EA folders for it are in my pc's disk's documents and if that's the problem I can move my EA folders over, I'm just afraid that will mess something up or make the program lose track of where the files are. Would a location issue like that be the cause of mass deleting files?
Game slow to respond
I play with no mods or cc. I have all the packs. I play on a 2023 ASUS Tuff gaming laptop with nothing on it but the Sims 4. For some reason my game is acting up. First I couldn’t take things out of the geology table and other storages. So I deleted the onlinethumbnailcache folder. Cleared EA app cache and repaired the game. But still had the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled both game and EA app. Still had the problem. So I completely uninstalled and deleted everything and reinstalled both. I deleted my saves but kept my tray file which I add to the Sims 4 folder after launching the game fresh. This worked for a while but then it started again with the gemology table being a problem. Now the game is supper slow to respond if it responds at all when I click on a Sim to interact. I don’t really have any screenshots to show you because you can’t see the problem in screenshots. I recently just bought 3 add-ons through the "bundle" promotion, and the werewolves and supernatural packs downloaded with no issue, but the For Rent pack never showed up in my library. I have gone into my manage add-ons, and it is not there, and I have "repaired" my game, and that also did not fix it. I am feeling frustrated because that pack was the bulk of the money in the discount, so I want to know how to access it. In the shop, it still lets me add the pack in my cart and proceed with purchasing. I do have a receipt saying I purchased all 3.Game Crashing when Accessing Various Lots in Newcrest
EA_Cath As suggested in my previous post, I'm starting this thread for my Newcrest lot issue. I'm having this issue as when trying to add residential lot builds in Newcrest for my latest game save. The game crashed when trying to enter the Lookout Cookout lot and did it as well when trying with the Sandy Run lot. I don't use any CC in my game. Have been playing in Sims 3 until Newcrest is usable again. The newest patch did not fix this. I have been able to add three of the game's venue lots and one residential on the Rippling Flats lot. The main lots that crash are Sandy Run, Lookout Cookout, Hillside Highlands and Oak Alcove. When entering build mode on these lots it fails to load and the game stops working. It's been happening for awhile so I've gone back to playing Sims 3 while this is being sorted out. I've tested it after the last two patches but it has not been resolved. I do not play with any CC or mods. Some lots I've been able to enter but when placing one of my lot builds the game crashes as well. About two months ago, I got a new gaming laptop but when trying to share the builds from my households to transfer to the new game save, the gallery stopped accepting lot saves but would accept individual rooms and households. I really didn't want to have piece together my previous builds, especially the large ones. I hope these issues are fixed soon, so that I can get back to playing Sims 4 with the households I have lots saved for. Thank you.Expansion Pack not synced to PC from PS4
My cats and dogs expansion pack was bought from my ps4. I logged onto my EA account with my ps4 log in and the EA app uses steam to launch the app. It seems like it uses a different account and no past saves or packs are there? How can I get the expansion packs onto the game?
Suddenly packs missing from my library
Was just playing for a little bit, doing my usual post-game repairs, and 11 packs are suddenly no longer listed in my library. The ones that are left aren't packs I enjoy playing with necessarily, so it's extra galling to suddenly see them listed when the packs I like aren't. Like, you had to take Get to Work and Lovestruck and leave Vampires? Whatever.
Misaligned Cursor in Docked Window
Hi, I've had this problem for a few years already so I'm not sure when it started. It's become quite bothersome because I only play The Sims 4 in this manner but the misaligned cursor is highly infuriating to deal with. If you play the Sims 4 in a docked window (meaning the game window is fixed to one side of the screen / one half the screen), the cursor is severely misaligned. For example, on the main menu screen to open the options, I have to actually click about 2-3cm below the ellipsis (the three dots) for it to open. When in-game, in order for me to click on the cellphone, my cursor needs to be about 1-2cm above the cellphone and the same thing applies for the needs, job window etc. This happens both with and without mods. Entering and exiting fullscreen does nothing and changing the UI scale also does nothing.
My game keeps crashing randomly !
Hey, so my game has been crashing for a while. There is no specific action or thing I do that makes it crash it just does and it's making my gameplay so draining and I keep losing progress if I dont save in time. I don't know if it has anything to do with mods, cc or just my pc in general. I have windows 11 and I play on a AMD mini PC. I can send more info if you need it but please help me figure this out because I've had enough of this. I've attached my dxdiag.Sims 4 packs unavailable in game?
So yesterday I bought both the high school years and seasons pack from the EA app. i downloaded both of them but when i went into the game only high school years was running and not seasons. I checked the pack selection and seasons was up under the 'owned packs' category but when i tried to press it it said it was unavailable. does anyone know how to fix this? i've cleared the EA app cache, repaired the app, and restarted EA but nothing has helped
I lost my game data- How do I restore?
Sometime yesterday I was having a problem with my Sims 4 game. I would try to go onto the game but my PC would give me the message “Unable to start, the file appears corrupted.” As one would do, I researched how to get my game to load and came to the conclusion that it was probably an issue with my cache. I cleared the cache for the most part, and then started patching the game. (I use Steam to launch the Sims so I went through the “Verify integrity of game files” process.) Now I’m not a super tech savvy person, so I’m not sure what exactly when wrong along the way but I followed exactly what it said to do on a forum I found. So when I go to play the Sims 4 this morning it takes me to the Main Menu, per usual. However, it only gives me the “new game” option and won’t let me retrieve the game I spent 200+ hours on. It launches perfectly fine now, but like I said, my game is gone. What did I do wrong along the way? Is there anything that can be done to retrieve my game?
Sims 4 Endless Loading Screen
Hey, so ever since the last update, my game is literally unplayable. I get these weird white screens and extreme lag. I also cannot load into the main menu without it taking forever. Once I get to the main menu selection to choose a household, I am still met with an endless loading screen.. my game has been like this for about a month.. I do NOT use any mods or cc. could someone please help me? i reallly would like to play my game again.Game Won't Connect To Gallery While Using DX11
Happy Holidays everyone. While this isn't an urgent, game breaking bug, it's seriously annoying me and I've been having the issue for a month straight. I have to alternate between DX9 and 11 just to be able to access the gallery in game. I also get the Sims Delivery error. It has no connectivity issues on DX9, and DX11 also connects just fine running on my laptop, but my desktop hates it, for some reason. Below are a list of the things I've tried: *DNS Flush/Network Reset *Connecting to the Ethernet *Uninstall and Re-install *Allowed the app through Firewall *DEP isn't an option on my desktop setup *Booted the game offline, minimized, went online through EA App, re-opened game. *Ran everything as administrator even tho I am the administrator. *Completely removed the EA folder and allowed the game to generate a new one with no mods or CC *Updated computer and drivers *Cleared App Cache My PC Specs: *AMD Ryzen Cezanne 8-Core Desktop Processor *Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB Dedicated *64GB RAM *2 TB SSD/ 1TB HDD I'm at my wits end and have no idea why it won't connect to the gallery in game.
