Missing Sims 4 Vampires Pack Due to 2023 Bundle Refund Glitch
Hello. I am missing The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack on my new laptop. I originally purchased this pack standalone on September 5, 2018. In October 2023, I purchased a Halloween Bundle that also contained Vampires, which was subsequently refunded. However, EA's automated database mistakenly deactivated my original standalone 2018 license along with that bundle refund. The Sims 4 Keeps Crashing Since Mandatory Memory Boost
I am absolutely certain that the repeated crashes I have experienced since the July 22 update are caused by the implementation of Memory Boost. Before July 22, I had already tried manually enabling Memory Boost in the game settings. Whenever it was enabled, my game would crash in exactly this way. I therefore disabled it. At the time, it was only an optional feature, so I did not think much more about it. After this update, however, Memory Boost became mandatory and can no longer be disabled. Since then, my game has been crashing constantly. I asked Codex to help investigate the cause and have spent days performing troubleshooting and elimination tests, but the problem still has not been resolved. My computer is a high-end system, and every other game runs normally. Based on that, as well as the diagnostic tests documented in the attached report, I can largely rule out my hardware, operating system, and graphics driver as the primary cause. I am not an EA engineer. I am just an ordinary player who wants to play the game. Over the past several days, I have spent a huge amount of my own time doing the work of isolating and documenting a game bug, and nobody is paying me to do this. I genuinely hope that future updates can be properly tested before they are released, especially when an experimental feature that previously caused reproducible crashes for some players is made mandatory with no option to disable it. Game present, but Origin claims have to redownload.
Yes... The latest origin launcher update...It did something somewhere in the program doesnt see that I already have sims 4 on HD, insisting that I have redownload the entire game DESPITE it clearly being present. I have a very slow inet download speed by the way. 1mb/s is bad [building wiring issue]. I played sims 4 last month without issue, it worked absolutely fine. I'm just upset that the launcher wants me to download the game again when it is already installed [but launcher isnt seeing it as such]. Save Folder expanding and can't delete saves!
I don't know what Maxis did with this new save system, but my save folder is now over a gig in size. I use to be able to go and delete older saves, but not it doesn't show much and when I delete is ask if I am sure, but then does not delete the save. Game is Unplayable!
My game keeps crashing for an unknown reason. I have troubleshooted as much as I could, I even played a new save file with absolutely no mods and the game still crashed on it own. Worst part is that it just closes. There's no error popup message to even indicate what the problem is. Please, I beg you, fix this because I don't think it's coming from my end! Sims Info Hud/Simology breaking
*warning lots of words* So after some issues with my windows mistaking the game as a trojan, which I had fixed on my end, I realized that i had some corrupted save files so I had deleted my save file, tray file, and any cache that I had. And now after the hotfix update the simology is breaking my ui. Everything would work just fine and then I'd click on the simology panel and then the ui breaks, panels won't open, the menu options won't pop up, and once I made the mistake of going into build mode and there was no option to go back into live mode. I've had to use task manager to exit the game. I dont have ui cheats, ui hud recolors or clean ui mods, more traits, or tool or better build buy installed. I checked if the were hidden and theres nothing. And more columns in cas has been updated for this update and even if this was the culprit, its not because I didnt have it installed the first time this has happened. And every last exception that I've gone through doesn't point out what has caused it just that it was the sims info hud. I've done everything I could think of, cleaned up my mods folder(finding and deleting any conflicting, duplicate, or broken mods/cc), deleted all cache files and repaired the game in ea over and over again. Idk what to do to fix this if it is on my end. I can't rename my sims 4 game folder and have it create a new one because I'm pretty sure I don't have enough storage space to do that. And I hear about just moving the save and tray file and then completely deleting the sims 4 game file and then repairing and opening the game to see if that fixes anything but I have thousands of cc and I really don't want to spend multiple days to find and redownload all of it. My Sims 4 stopped working properly after I upgraded my laptop. Before, I had a laptop that didn’t even have a graphics card, and it worked like a charm. Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue as me since the newest sims update (21-7-2026). Basically what is happening for me is that I can no longer launch the game. I played the day before the update and had no issue whatsoever. Whenever I try to launch the game, I get a notification in the EA app, saying: "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." With that I also get a notification from Windows Security saying: "Part of this app has been blocked. Some features of EA may not work because we can't confirm who published TS4_Launcher_x64.exe that the app tried to load." I looked at the properties of the sims, and the digital signature is gone. I tried repairing the game, which didn't work, and reinstalling both EA and the Sims in its entirety. Both did not fix my problem. I went on to check in powershell to see if the game truly wasn't signed, and indeed it wasn't. I could turn off my smart app control, to see if that would allow me to launch the game, but I'd rather not do that for obvious reasons. If there is anyone else who also has this issue, or may knows how to fix it, please let me know! Black screen after loading, Sims cursor visible
Hello, I have encountered an issue which I've seen other people have as well, though I can't seem to figure out how to fix it in my case (DxDiag is attached). I have already tried repairing the game and reinstalled it, but the issue remains. Common tips I've found online included deleting mods, which I do not have, and deleting cache, to which I can't find the file. Everything worked fine up until yesterday, the only thing I did was trying to create a new household. I've added some CCs to my library for that, via the Sims 4 gallery. I was unable to apply some freshly added tattoos from the gallery to my Sims. To fix that, I tried enabling mods in the main setting and closed out of the game to see if I could use them then, after which the issue occured for the first time. Sims 4 Will Not Launch
After updating my game today (7/21) through the EA app, the app will minimize and appear as if it was launching the Sims before giving me the attached Error message. The EA app does log the launch as if I've had a minute of game time. I have been attempting to find the problem all evening and so far have: - Removed my Mods - Cleared the cache - Restarted my computer multiple times - Logged out of the EA app - Uninstalled & reinstalled the EA app - Repaired the game via the EA app - Made sure my Windows security & other virus detection software was not blocking the game - Run the EA app as an Administrator - Read every blog post or Reddit thread or forum or video I could find from within the last 5 years that might be helpful - Called a far more tech capable sibling to assist who could only conclude it was the update & hopes my save files aren't corrupted It's Tuesday night, it worked fine on Sunday night, so my guess is also that it's the new update. If anyone has ideas, they're welcome. Game Pulling Mods/Saves from Onedrive Instead of External Hard Drive
To start I have already checked the guide for missing saves/mods etc. and while that helped me figure out the problem is, I still don't know how to fix it. I loaded my game for the first time in a while (maybe March) after updating both the game and my mods. But the game had none of my saves loaded. I removed the mod folder completely and tried again, still no saves, but I noticed the game was still saying I have mods installed. After investigation I realized that it is trying to pull from my one drive, which I actively do not use. I don't pay for OneDrive and the free version does not have enough space to hold all my game files/mods/saves. I don't understand why it is trying to use OneDrive, when I've never used it. Picked up the Sims 4 after a 2-3 week break and I was away from my computer. When I try to open the cheat console by typing the sequence "ctrl+Shift+c" it opens my Microsoft Copilot. I did not make any shortcuts to Copilot. When that happened I closed out of Copilot and tried to back to the game, but it showed only a white screen and it was not being responsive. After restarting the PC I tried to open the Sims 4 again, but it would load and crash.
