Enchanted by Nature install issues?
I bought and installed Enchanted by Nature and have not been able to play it as the game doesn't seem to know it has been installed. I have tried Restarting EA app Clearing EA app cache Restarting game, EA app and PC all before trying the game again Uninstalling and reinstalling the addon Repairing the game Removing mods and CC and redoing all of the above It is driving me mental. When I start the game, it gives me the notification pop up saying things I can do in the new addon, but when I click them, they bring me to the main lessons page because the addon info isn't there in the lessons page. When I go to manage worlds, it says the addon isn't installed and to download it and restart the game to install it. Has anyone had this and managed to get it resolved? So, I'm playing my game into the wee hours of the morning. Everything's fine, but then I decide I'm going to click the enable script mods, etc, so I can use the UI mod because why not, right? Well, it goes downhill from there. My game loads but doesn't show me the menu, only a black screen. I try verifying files. I remove the mod. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I'm really confused because I genuinely wasn't having any other issues before this. I don't use any CC. My game is very vanilla. Directory Junctions for Mods folder no longer functioning after recent update
Product: The Sims 4 Platform: PC / Windows 11 Reproducible: Yes, 100% of the time since the latest patch. Description: Prior to the most recent update, I utilized a Directory Junction (mklink /J) to host my 105GB Mods library on an external drive (E:) while linking it to the game directory on my system drive (C:). This is a standard practice for players managing limited internal storage. Since the update, the game no longer recognizes the linked folder. Upon launching, the "Viewed Custom Content" list is entirely empty. If the link is removed and a physical folder is created on the C: drive with the same mods, they load correctly. This indicates the game's file-system crawler is now ignoring symbolic links or failing to parse the directory depth through a junction. Impact: My system drive has less than 150GB of total space. Forcing a 105GB mod folder onto the C: drive leaves less than 45GB for Windows operations, page files, and game cache, significantly degrading system performance and making smooth gameplay impossible. This issue likely affects a large portion of the community who rely on external storage for high-capacity CC libraries. Requested Action: Please investigate why the game engine is no longer following directory junctions for the Mods and User Data folders. So long story short this account i had from 2013 and the email that I had for the account was non existent which was fine till about a year ago when the account wanted a verification code. Sims 4 worked fine I have 42 addon packs in the game and I played with mods on a pc with a 3070ti and a ryzen 5600x CPU with sufficient ram. I recently got support to change my email to my current one with a lot of back and forth managed to get the account back and have the order history and have access to the sims 4 with all the packs. I got the account back and sims 4 just crashes and I don't think its my setup I've got a 5080 and a intel i7 14000kf CPU with the same ram. I got onto mccc and they keep asking me if my packs are pirated and I said no I bought every pack on ea apart of one from loaded formally cdkeys and it was the life and death pack. Now I've started a new with a new sims 4 file countless repairs and every fix under the sun, including uninstalling and reinstalling I have no other fix that I can think of I have every pack installed and shown in my order history. I don't know what to do I'm going to link my better exceptions and my last crash file. As of yesterday, after working perfectly fine a few hours previous, my game has been unable to play. I don't know if there was an update or what. I'm not able to save households to my library, not even my personal ones that I edit/add to game (so I can't start a new save). It always times me out and tells me to check my internet connection (which is fine). Gallery doesn't load beyond red "/"'s and whenever I play and save, once I exit and return its reverted to its state prior to playing. So I can't do anything. I've restarted the game, the EA app, my computer, steam, verified integrity of files, cleared cache, and moved what few (inactive) mods I had leftover sitting in my game files out of there completely, which I had forgotten about. But none of it has changed anything, beyond the last two causing multiple portraits of sims in my library to now have that entirely blacked out glitch - though only in the overall household photo, not their personal ones that show their traits and stuff. I don't know what to do. I don't have mods or CC, and I haven't purchased any of the newest packs. So is it just a server issue that I have to wait out? So, if you use mods or cc, you know that when you first startup the game, it gives you a pop-up of the mods and cc in your game. When I hit the arrow to close that pop-up, instead of it going away and me being on the home screen, the home screen is in the background of a translucent dark color, and I am unable to click on anything. This is a picture of how it looks when I am stuck: I have had this happen before, and normally, I have to force the game shut, and when I reopen it, it's fine. But since I updated my game today, I can't get it to stop happening. These are the mods I have currently: I do normally use UI cheats, but I saw that it wasn't working as of today, so I removed it. I can't get into the game to turn off mods or turn off organized debug so I can remove better build buy (if it's what is causing the issue). As you can also see, there is a problem with my access to the marketplace. Instead of how it's supposed to look, it has an exclamation mark and says my access isn't connected, and to check my internet connection or try again later. I have had this problem since the marketplace launched, and I am not offline. With the last update, I went offline and waited until the mods I use were updated and then updated. The marketplace still didn't work, but I was able to play the game. I haven't been able to claim the free kit or see any of the new content because of this.Solved84Views0likes3Comments
PC Sims 4 constanlty freezing/crashing
Hi! So i've never really complained about this issue because even though it's happened before it normally only happens for a few days and then sorts its self out. But for the past week 1/2 my PC has been freezing after playing for about 5 minutes and I barley ever get time to save. Once it freezes you can see the mouse still kind of working and when you hover over items in Build Mode it will show you what they are but the actual screen just goes completely frozen. And most of the time it shuts down and opens me back up to the EA page. I really need help, I've done sooo many hours of googling what to do and I've tried lots of things with the casche folder thingy. But I'm a teenage girl, not a computer tech, I've spent almost 100 on this game over the years and I really don't want it to go to waste. I was playing offline to avoid having to update to the March 17th patch, but my game and Lenovo Ideapad 3 were both insanely slow and I figured it was my mods so I removed all of them, cleared the cache and deleted the resource.cfg, repaired the game (which updated it lol), even started a new Sims 4 file entirely. My game is still so incredibly slow without any mods or cc that it’s too difficult to play. Camera rotation is twitchy and slow, Sim animations are extremely twitchy, opening any menu takes at least 5 minutes (it was never even that slow WITH mods) and hovering over UI options is so laggy that when I click on one thing, the game thinks I’m clicking where the cursor was 2 seconds ago. I downloaded an extension pack, two game packs, and a stuff pack. All four are purchased, and installed but none of them are showing up in my game. I got a pop-up for all four when I first opened the game after purchasing them and letting them install, but never got the items. I have since then repaired the game, uninstalled and reinstalled them, cleared the cache, and repaired the game again but nothing has worked. I have a question for anyone who can help i currently play sims on a laptop and it is really slow with all my cc and mods. If i get a 1 terabyte external harddrive would that work for it not to be so slow and lag every time i try to play or crash every 10 mins ?? DLC won't show up in game.
Hi! I recently came back to Sims 4 and updated the game after a few months so it might be an old issue, but I can't find an answer to it. I downloaded all of my DLCs, they show as downloaded in the EA app but when I want to play, the game asks me to restart the computer to make them work. I restarted it and nothing happened. I uninstalled and installed the DLCs again but the issue is still there. Does anyone know how to fix this? I attached the photos of how the issue looks. (My game is in Polish but it says: "To ensure all DLCs from this save are enabled and trial content is only available for trial saves, please restart your device" and " Needed DLCs") (The second one is my EA App showing that all of the DLCs are installed (The text on the right of DLCs says "Uninstall") (The screenshot doesnt show all of the DLCs I have beacouse they didnt fit in the frame)) Also I dont know if this matters but for some reason my game is in two different folders? Game won't update
Hope this is in the right spot, I really have no clue what to do 😭 It makes sense to be an EA app thing, but I'm not sure tbh. Even with the hotfix being out, game still won't update. One of three things happen: A popup saying an application is preventing it and to close the app and try again with the update. The app is plumbuddy, but it wasn't open before (sometimes it is open even if I hadn't touched it.) Or the update pauses on it's own, I try again and it just repeats. And not as often but once or twice I get an error and to try again. I've cleared the app cache according to EA instructions. I'm totally cool not playing with mods/CC for awhile as I've been wanting to try at playing vanilla again, but I'd like to be able to open the game. Sims and buildings deleted from the library
Recently i made a bunch of sims for a new save and i uploaded them to my library. I was working on a building when the game closed for the new update (17/03/2026). After the update i re-opened the game and all of the sims and lots i have ever made were gone.. Save files - need info, please
Is it safe to delete Folders Scratch(1) and Scratch(2) dated October 30 2024? Slot_00000003.save(X).ver4 where "X" numbers from 1 thru 39 dated October 30 2024 and the same slot files .ver3 and ver4 dated October 29 2024 - Is it safe to delete these? I have a copy of this Saves folder in two previous file backups of folder TheSims4 on different dates. I just saw these files this week. If you saw this in your game, would you: A. do a Clean Folder and copy over the normal Slot save files? B. Or, delete these files and keep on playing? C. Or, leave it all alone and not worry about it? D. Thing I didn't consider is -- Thank you for advice. I tagged as "Corrupt Save" because that's the closest description even tho I haven't noticed any problems with Slot 3's game. Problem resizing game window
After successfully firing the game up from the EA app just fine, I can no longer resize the game window to be as big or as small as I want it to be. Tried repairing the game, but it didn't solve the problem. Is anyone else having this issue and/or can anyone please advise me on how to solve it? I just opened the Sims 4 game up again after the new updates (I'm running v 1.121.372.1020 DX11), and there is no option to load my save file (which I started this past December and last played a week ago).
