someone who understand the last exceptions /origin vs EA platform, please help
I have been trying to understand why I have been having issues with my game lately. I do not know how to read the "last exception" but I noticed this and now I have concerns. I have never used cc or mod - do not use cheats unless I absolutely have too but this is so different. I did, a long time ago use Origin platform to play sims 4. After the urging of the game and prompts to change to the EA platform, I did..... I have been using it for years now and today - when trying to understand the "last exceptions", I found this: I underlined and made it Bold.... I don't understand why it says Origin Version when I have not used that platform in ages! How do I get my game to recognized that I am using the EA platform? Or is this the problem???? No Screen For Gameplay
After updating all my mods and several reinstalling of Sims and EA App, I still cannot play any type of gameplay or build buy. My screen is a blueish green and anything that pops up on the screen remains. I have no mods or anything installed. Game minimises itself at main menu and won't let me go back.
I've been having this issue for a month now, the last big patch did not fix it, neither did the last minor patch so I sure hope what comes next does it. It's always in the main menu, after I click away the advertisement spam it pretty much always minimises the game and won't let me go back. I have to shut off the process to get it to stop, I guess it crashed since I can't shut it off another way, hard to tell when I don't see what's happening in the game. Game won't launch despite no cc/mods
So, essentially i downloaded the game and all my add-ons purchased through steam a couple days ago and was going to play today, unfortunately no matter what i do it refuses to launch. It says it's a error on our end, but it's been ongoing for nearly a week now??? I ended all EA tasks in the task manager, I uninstalled and redownloaded EA App, I cleared cache on EA AND Steam, I uninstalled and redownloaded the game, and it's still not working. Any help? heyy so ive looked around online for solutions and have done the following -Taken out all Mods and CC -Cleared cache -Ran EA "App Recovery" -Ran EA "App Updater" (up to date) -Verified the integrity of my game files through steam (its what my game is installed through) -Uninstalled my game and reinstalled it -Tried to force launch Directx9 via steam which i was unable to do I also have my DxDiag file to upload to this post. My game was running fine, I had installed a bunch of Mods and CC, and after I was done I opened my game and it ran fine. I had GShade installed as well however couldn't get the "Clear UI" addon I had downloaded to work, found out my game was in Directx11. Uninstalled GShade then reinstalled it to Directx11, and switched my "Clear UI" addon to the Directx11 version as well. At this point my game was still working. Clear UI was not, I see I can change my game to Directx9 and everyone said the Clear UI addon for Directx9 ran smooth and actually worked whereas everyone had troubles with Directx11. I close my game and uninstall GShade again so I can get it back to Directx9. It uninstalls, I load up the sims to change it to Directx9 and I am met with this message. I remove my Mods, which didn't do anything, My husband helped me verify my integrity of the games files, then retry, again not working. I uninstall my game, reinstall my game. Still nothing. I tried to force lunch Directx9 via steam, which did nothing. Ran Ea app recovery, ran Ea app updater, then Ea app recovery again, still nothing. I verify my files in steam again, still nothing. I try to open the app through the files in my computer, still nothing. I removed my delta files like someone on here suggested (i still have them on my desktop incase they are important) still nothing. I have done everything I have found online. My DxDiag files say my PC is Directx12 so I don't believe its anything with my PC itself. I am thinking its something with GShade, I am thinking about redownloading it and seeing if maybe it removed something that my game needed? I am just at a loss, I am so upset and have been up all night trying to fix it. I updated my game today, took my mods folder out and everything. Failed to launch game
My game hasn't been working for maybe about a week. I have tried the basic stuff, like redownloading the Sims game and the EA app. I've cleared the cache, put the sims 4 folder on my desktop. I took out the mods, saves and tray folders. Nothing works. So it has to be something i haven't tried/found yet. I did put an ssd in my pc for extra space and then maybe the locations got messed up? I also updated my game driver and checked the antivirus. I have to be honest, i'm not extremely tech-savy, so i could use some help. Game crashes on launch.
As the tittle suggest - my game crashes immediately after trying to launch it through EA App. Game has been updated day after the initial update got released. What I've done so far: Game with mods did not launch (all updated mods) so i tried without them, which also didn't change the outcome - there was 'lastCrash' file which i deleted ( both of them actually, which i'm sorry for :() I've completely removed whole Sims 4 folder to regenerate it - game launched HOWEVER - after clicking on 'Settings' to change screen resolution, game immediately crashed creating Crash file once again. In files I'm attaching my Dxdiag file. If that's important: I know my computer is basically from ancient times so all I do in sims is play in CAS, I do not expect it to run anything connected to Live Mode. :) I would be thankful for any suggestions. My game starts up but then the start menu is broken. See attached Pic. Black screen, buttons don't work, can't open saves or change settings. See attached screen shot. umm how do i fix a black pixilated screen after new update?
I got into the game and its not letting me play. it has a half black pixilated screen and lets me click on new game but its not loading. what do I need to do to fix it? because I love playing the game. it helps me to relax and I can be myself without being judge. and it helps me wen I get overstimulated. because I can be in a world of my own to be anything or anyone . Black screen after DX11 update on low spec Intel PC(integrated graphics)

i created a new EA account to play sims4. And then i tried add my old save to the new game, since me old sims4 are still on my pc (my pc has two sims4 game and two EA account at the same time.) And then i found out that my new sims4 account couldn't find any of my saving. And after that, i open my old sims4, it showed my old save can't be open since lack of DLC pack. But i didn't deleted my DLC save . All i did was download a new sims4 with my new ea account. After that i thought is my pc got confused by having two sims4. Therefore i deleted the new sims4. However, i still can' t find my save in my old sims4. This time i don't even have Load Game options. "requested operation requires elevation" ??
When i try to open the game a window pops up on my homescreen saying "requested operation requires elevation"...it's been like that for the past two days (i didn't play before that for a while) 😭 What do i do?? Also, could it be the new update? Sims 4 will not launch "error"
I have never had issues with my Sims game until the most recent Sims 4 update released on August 19, 2025. Since then, the game has been glitchy, and now I receive the same repetitive error every time I try to launch: “Failed to launch game” and “An error on our end prevented the launching of the game; try again later.” I’ve done everything on my end—restarted my computer and the EA app, repaired the game, removed any potentially harmful mods, and repeated these steps multiple times. Nothing has worked. I’ve also reviewed the forums, both past and present, and this continues to be a widespread problem. It is incredibly frustrating that these issues keep occurring with updates, yet there seems to be no effective technical support to actually resolve them. I’ve been getting a disk write error every few days. I do all kinds of stuff to fix it and it just randomly disappears after a period of time of time. It won’t start, then when I verify the file integrity it messes up and gives a disk write error. It stops at 62% and shows the error. Here’s the steam error message The Sims™ 4 An error occurred while launching this game: Disk write error - C: Program Fles RESUN (x86)|Steam|steamapps|common\The Sims 4\Game\BIn\TS4_Launcher_x64.exe The thing is I checked inside the directory where the error led to and there’s nothing titled TS4_launcher_x64.exe. There’s TS4_x64, but not launcher. It doesn’t affect any other games, and this is the only game I play that has the EA launcher in it. so I'm assuming it is something to do with the interplay between steam and EA's different launcher applications. Do I need to download and replace TS4_launcher_x64 or something? I’m assuming this is common and there’s a definitive fix but I may be wrong for thinking that.. I highly doubt this is caused by anything gameplay related, but just in case it is, this started in the middle of me hosting a sims 4 death game with many sims dying in a variety of ways. If it's gameplay related it would certainly have to do with having an excess of tombstones on a lot, or by some exception with sim death handling, as two sims did just cease to exist without the Grim Reaper visiting or anything after dying from laughter if I remember correctly. I filed a report with steam about it and they just told me the basics about resetting the cache and checking the library folder, I assume it was some kind of automated response. What I’ve tried to fix it: Restart computer, Repair steam library folder, set sims 4 folder off of read only, empty steam cache, deleting and reinstalling via steam(still resulted in disk error), clearing cache via EA, running steam as Administrator, disabling all antivirus software, change steam download region. However the only thing that seems to fix it is to just let it be. I'm moreso just curious as to what could be causing it. Other people experiencing similar issues were told to include their DxDiag info so I've attached it.
