Sims 4 Unable to load
Hello - It seems that my issue isn't the same as some of the others on here, so I am posting separately. I recently bought a new laptop HP Omen and have been unable to load up sims 4. I have tried many things on these threads and also looking online with nothing helping. I also tried to see if it was EA application by downloading sims 4 from steam (I use this for my steamdeck) the issue is with the game itself. I also have no mods. I did add the launchers to my anitivirus as well as trying to turn it off for a short while trying, my drivers are also up to date. Sims 4 crashes every time, usually when im doing many tasks?
To clarify: My sims 4 game would crash when i zoom out too fast, or click on anything, or when the ui changes.. I have tried everything, updating my drivers and my pc.. mind you my pc is a beefcake and can handle far cry 6 like its nothing. At first I did have a bunch of mods installed, then I deleted them all, I kept MCCC, the game crashes still.. so, I uninstalled all my mods.. my game crashes anyway.. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my game, same thing... lowkey getting frustrated.. is there anything else that I could do to fix this?Solved48Views2likes5Comments
Sims 4 "unable to start, game already running"
I just updated my game today and to my surprise that's the error in getting this is a new install of the game no Mods folder or anything just base game install obviyid have to run the game To get the second Sims 4 folder but nope anyway I tried the solution form the puzzlezaddict's common errors solutions none worked I unimstalles and reinstalled my game I did repair it I factory reset my laptop recently I did follow the solutions but I see it's from three years ago I'm trying to find a more recent solution or help please the full notification is in the photo but it says: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51] Can someone please helpSolved73Views0likes3CommentsCats & Dogs disk download help
Bought a disk copy of C&D off ebay and was expecting the code not to work so intended to install it with the disk itself. The file from the disk is saying that I do not have the base game installed, which I think is because I downloaded it from Steam. game won't open when i click play, first it directly closed as soon as it opened, then it opened ea app instead of the game, and now it simply won't launch at all. i have tried removing EVERY mod, uninstalling the game, rebooting my pc multiple times, updating my drivers, making a clean folder and a lot of other weird technical stuff i've seen online, but nothing worked, i'm just feeling stuck and hopeless and most people i've seen online with a similar issue either have it fixed by removing their mods or just quit and never play again but i'm just really sad because i've only recently started playing again. game worked just fine this morning oh and there is no error showing or anything, it's just like i never tried to launch the gameSolvednopleaseguys20 days agoRising Novice353Views1like16Commentshelp with dlc on ea side.
hello i was wondering if someone could help me with knowledge of how dlcs work in the ea app. so i have sims 4 through steam. but i have to launch the game through steam and ea. i have some dlc bought through steam and some dlc bought through the ea app. now either this year or last there was a free dlc (get to work) that you could download through having ea play or xbox ultimate. now my question is this here. if I lose my Xbox ultimate do I lose the dlc i downloaded through it? I had Xbox ultimate but went to a lower level of it. when I updated my sims and loaded my save it said my get to work dlc was missing. so do i lose dlc if it was free while I had a subscription and can i get it back for free? or do I have to buy it for myself since i don't have Xbox ultimate with ea play anymore? but if i download it while its free is it mine forever or no?Solved37Views0likes2CommentsBest hardware for sims 4..?
Hello, currently I play TheSims4 on an 5 year old Laptop. This works only with no DLCs or small save datas. For larger save games I have big troubles with performance and also more bugs. I plan to buy a new computer or laptop next year. Can you tell me which is the best hardware for Sims 4 so far (with nearly all DLCs installed) and if a better/newer laptop could handle it or is an "normal" pc necessary? Game Constantly Crashes
I've gone through a lot of troubleshooting, only to still have problems. I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, and it's up to date. My computer is up to date. After troubleshooting for DAYS with the same issue, I resorted to removing my Sims 4 folder. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game entirely. I ran the game with FRESH files - no saves, no tray files, no screen shots, no mods, etc. Freshly installed game, fresh Sims 4 folder, fresh save, used whatever Sim came up in CAS, and played the game - meaning I also didn't use ANYTHING from the Gallery. After about 5-10 minutes, the game crashes. It doesn't matter what the sim is doing. Home Lot, Community Lot, doesn't matter. I even just let the Autonomy run, and it still crashes. I'm at my wits end. I own literally every single expansion, pack, and kit - have a gaming computer tha tcan clearly handle the specs, no mods, and the game still can't even run. I don't know what else to do. I shouldn't have these issues after completely uninstalling and not adding anything back in that could possibly be corrupted. Pure Vanilla. Reinstall to external drive can’t load saves/mods
I had to reinstall my sims 4 and my computer was getting full so I installed it to my external hard drive. It was installed through steam so the new sims 4 folder doesn’t show in an “electronic arts” folder like it used to. Don’t know if that matters but I can’t figure out how to get my saves, mods (etc.) back. I have tried copying them into the new “the sims 4” folder but that didn’t work. I also tried creating the “Mklink” and it said successful but when I open the game it’s still says “new game” only and not showing my saves. As for mods that folder isn’t showing up at all in the new location that sims was installed to. I am a current Mac user and I have several packs downloaded for the Sims 4. The problem is, it takes up so much space on my computer and I feel like my computer is overheating every time I play the game (plus, I am a big fan of modding). I have been looking into getting a Steam Deck instead for PC gaming since I love the portability of it. Camera spinning nonstop during gameplay even after troubleshooting
Hi! I’m having a really frustrating issue in The Sims 4 and I’m hoping someone here can help because my camera is acting like it drank six espressos 😭Basically the camera suddenly starts spinning nonstop while I’m playing. It keeps rotating by itself and the only way I can temporarily stop it is by switching to Free Camera and pressing ESC. Sometimes that fixes it for the rest of the session sometimes it only works for a few seconds and then the camera goes wild again. What I’ve already tried: repaired the game through the EA app (many times) deleted the cache files removed all mods and tested completely vanilla added my mods back afterward (I only use MCCC and a faster homework mod) checked that everything is updated restarted my PC and the game multiple times The issue keeps happening no matter what I do. Screenshots Cause White Screen + System Freeze. Build/Buy Crashes to Desktop.
Platform: PC (Windows 10/11) After the most recent update, attempting to take screenshots or entering Build/Buy mode causes severe instability. Taking multiple screenshots in CAS results in a white-screen freeze that hard-locks the entire system, requiring a manual restart. Build/Buy mode typically crashes to desktop within seconds of loading. This issue persists even in a completely clean, unmodded game environment. To rule out user-side issues, I have done the following: Removed all mods and CC. Cleared all caches (localthumbcache, spotlight, etc.). Repaired game files through the EA App. Deleted and regenerated my entire Documents/EA folder (fresh installation). Retrimmed my SSD to ensure the game’s files were not being read from degraded sectors Verified GPU drivers are up to date. Tested multiple other GPU-intensive games, all of which run without issue. Restarted my system multiple times to clear RAM and cached data. Despite the above steps, the issue continues. Additional Details: The file originally showing corruption was DeltaBuild00 (Build/Buy resources). I manually deleted that file and allowed the game to regenerate a fresh version. The regenerated file did not resolve the issue; the freeze and crashes still occur. To test reproducibility, I launched a completely clean game and spammed the C key in CAS — this immediately caused a white-screen freeze and a full system lock that required a hard reboot. This behavior only began after the recent patch and does not occur in any other games on my system. Expected Result: Screenshots should save normally, and Build/Buy mode should load without crashing. When I try to open up TS4 in the EA app it will say launching game and it looks like its loading but it never opens. When opened from desktop shortcut nothing happens. Ive tried waiting 20 minutes while it says it launching and it never does. Ive tried everything I could find, and got the same result every time I tried to launch. Removed all mods, removed the entire Sims 4 folder, repaired the game, uninstalled TS4 and reinstalled, uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled, did a clean boot, cleared the local thumb cache or whatever its called, restarted my pc, installed a new driver (I have a radeon RX 580,) updated my pc (windows 10,) and honestly im stumped. I know its not the recent 150 bug fix update as I was able to play after that. This just randomly appeared after I installed a few mods, but I removed all mods entirely so that cant be it. I did see there was some issues with Razer synapse, but I can't uninstall it without unplugging the only mouse I own. Game crashes 5 seconds into opening
So my sims isn't letting me into the game, i can't even get into the loading screen. i removed my mods from their folder and everything and i still cannot get in. It will bring me to "The sims 4" but no further and it crashes within seconds. It did this when i updated it earlier today and opened it, without mods because i had 0 at the time, and it still crashed immediately. then i repaired it and removed the mods i had just gotten and tried to open and it crashed immediately again. I repaired it 3 times and it won't change, I already reinstalled it and it did not change a single thing. I also deleted cache files, tried to rename my sims folder to "the sims old" and launched the game and it did not create a new folder.
